Ouch. Big drop fro AHS.
ReplyDeleteExpected for AHS.
ReplyDeleteSeason premiere was disappointing... But the second episode was perfect.
Quite a big drop for AHS. Coven didn't drop near this much.
ReplyDeleteWow!That's a sharp drop!I guess all the hype and excitement from the premiere fizzled out!
ReplyDeleteHopefully Arrow gets adjusted up!
ReplyDeleteHuge drop for AHS but still dominating the 10pm slot and banging broadcast shows for 2nd week in a row
ReplyDeleteI was hoping Arrow would adjust up. :(
ReplyDeleteWow at MOL adjusting up and being so stable.
ReplyDeleteCan't say i'm surprised that it is down 500k viewers and two tenths for last week. That's what happens when you kill off a popular character for really no reason.
ReplyDeleteFYI: No other show on The CW dropped more than a tenth in their 2nd week this season other than The Flash which a drop like that was expected because almost every show's 2nd episode is down from the series premiere.
Meh, Arrow is a bit low. They shouldn't have killed Sara.
ReplyDeletesigh....a character dying is never the reason for dropping ratings. You can't ever blame the previous episode because ratings never drop this drastically for one particular reason -,-
ReplyDeleteIf anything you should blame the Sara-heavy season 2 for declining viewers than the season premiere
Going by your logic this episode should have had higher ratings. But then again I wouldn't expect good logic from a Laurel fanboy.
ReplyDeletethis has nothing to do with bias, quality rarely factors into week to week viewings , it takes time for viewers to wander off.
ReplyDeleteBut doesen't matter explaining that to a....Sara....Felicity.....or generally fanboy with little understanding of anything beyond his personal bias
Arrow hit 0.8s and even 0.7s on Season 2... It doesn't mean anything. It's still good for theCW taking into account that it's it's third Season and are one season away for syndication(it's why Arrow's 4th Season is a sure thing).
ReplyDeleteAlso, Arrow is a show heavy on the merchandasing stuff and has landed deals with Netflix and other streaming servicies.
Arrow is good... it could pull 0.6s and still be safe.
sadly, a lot of Sara Lance fans protested this episode. Idk if you have a tumblr or not, but they kept posting "Boycott this Wednesdays episode", "show the writers they screwed up", "Sara Lance is the true canary"
ReplyDeletedon't have tumblr.
ReplyDeleteBut a loud minority will rarely cause a ratings drop
Killing a character is common among many tv show and this should not be a reason for rating to drop........
ReplyDeleteFull season announcement is right around the corner for Laura!
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad AHS dropped because episode 2 was much better than the premier.
ReplyDeleteWith Merlyn and Thea coming up let's hope the ratings go up.
ReplyDeleteThe season premiere was up from the season 2 finale. If viewers found season 2 too Sara-heavy, they wouldn't have bailed after they saw her die in the premiere. A death can certainly impact the ratings. That being said, there could have been other reasons the ratings dropped. I didn't find the premiere on the same level as some season 2 episodes.
ReplyDeleteI know it's still safe but I would like to see it pull some higher numbers.
ReplyDeleteI liked Sara and hated how they handled her death, but let's get real, it has nothing to do with the drop in Arrow's ratings. Shows fluctuate all the time, and it's not like Sara was a hugely popular character; she was fairly divisive. The numbers can easily bounce back up next week. And as long as Arrow doesn't dip beneath its series low of 0.7, it's fine anyway (although obviously, fans want it to do as well as possible, not just well enough to get renewed).
