Congratulations, The CW and The Flash! Almost a 2.0! That is insane. Huge premiere ratings! :)
ReplyDeleteWow 1.9!
ReplyDeleteMark Pedowitz has to be crying happy tears today. That's amazing.
ReplyDeleteWell done Flash! Hoping it keeps the momentum.
ReplyDeleteGo get it Flash!
ReplyDeleteYay Flash!
ReplyDeleteHow long do you think it'll be until The CW announces The Flash's renewal?
ReplyDeleteEarly December is when they normally announce their early renewals.
ReplyDeleteIf it holds that number next week - next week, probably.
ReplyDeleteJust noticed, MLS didn't adjust up. The ABC adjustments have finally been broken!
ReplyDeleteomg the flash adjusted up WHAT
ReplyDeleteSo The Flash, having achieved brilliant ratings in the fast nationals, then adjusts up in the finals. Good going.
ReplyDeleteI raise my glass to you Flash and theCWs promo departement!
ReplyDeleteLet's hope it was worth the lack of promotional material for other CW shows
they usually do them in february.
ReplyDeleteThey'll probably announce the full season pickup in...3 seconds
Forever too wasn't adjusted up
ReplyDeleteNCIS must have alot of really old people watching that show, over 17 million watched it and it only manages a 2.6 in the demo.
ReplyDeleteFull season pickup next week probably. Renewal announcement around Feb-March with Arrow, TVD, etc.
ReplyDeleteDamn Person of Interest and AoS :( but happy for Flash!
ReplyDeleteAh yeah true!
ReplyDeleteAoS adjusted up 1 tenth
ReplyDeleteIt kinda sucks Selfie is going to die, I would've liked to see Karen Gillan do well on American television.
ReplyDeletemy early prediction would be the Flash getting a full season pickup after episode 3, Jane the Virgin also being picked up for a full season since they don't have many new shows with a potential full season
ReplyDeleteArrow-Flash-Supernatural-TVD are sure early renewals
100 vs. Reign vs. Originals will probably be a thing later
BatB and HoD are sure goners
not sure about JtV, iZombie and messengers but I'd go with one of these three going into a second season
she could always show up on Agents of Shield as Nebula
ReplyDeleteWell Supernatural isn't quite a 100% for renewal, it's pretty much up to Jared and Jessen and if they wanna continue to do the show, that said I'm fairly certain they'll do more.
ReplyDeleteWow at Flash. I actually checked another source to make sure it wasn't a typo. CW getting close to a 2 in demo. Who knew?
ReplyDeleteDidn't Jensen say he's up for a 11th season just to beat Tom Wellings record of 10 seasons? And Jared always said he would be game.
ReplyDeleteAnd even if one drops out. you KNOW what will happen, they will replace whoever leaves with a new member.
Actually I read into it and this new hunter guy (the one that kidnapped Sam) is supposed to be recurring). And he already kind of screams Dean.
Not a fan of it but if I were theCW I would only let the show go once it's dried out. They'll continue it with whoever stays until the show is dead ratings wise
I'm hyped but reminded myself that ONE show overperforming isn't entirely going to push the bar.
ReplyDeleteAlso just one episode does not mean it will stay anywhere near that. Arrow premiered well but then leveled off at a much more CW level.
ReplyDelete1.9 for the flash! WOW! i watched the pilot and i liked it, i would say its probably a one time thing, lets hope they can maintain most of the viewers.
ReplyDeleteif JtV fails they could move SPN there and then premiere iZombie after The Flash and then The Messengers after Arrow once The 100 is over?
ReplyDeleteit could drop a full ratings point and still get renewed though
ReplyDeleteI don't expect it to maintain that demo but it really is an outstanding showing for the CW. It shows it can be done. I really liked the show too. It was a great Tuesday night for them, even though I'm boycotting ever watching that episode of SPN again. If/when I see it on TNT, I'd change the channel to Jerry Springer. That's the level of my hatred for Jeremy Carver.
ReplyDeleteIf half the flash audience plus those regular arrow viewers could be high like around 1.4. I sure flash fan will watch arrow. Hopefully strongest rating since pilot
ReplyDeleteI know it is on Jensen and Jared for renewal. I have a feeling that they have signed already and we will get a season 11 renewal notice as part of the publicity for the 200th episode. Now watch me be wrong, but I think that would be the kind of publicity that the CW would use.
ReplyDeleteOh absolutely! I cannot imagine its ratings crashing to a point where it would not be renewed. It fits into their new programming design nicely and even if half its audience drops out, it will still score within the acceptable limits. Flash will be on next year's roster for sure. I was more making an observation that while it may be the #1 show on the CW now, it is likely to level out more in normal "hit" CW level demos in the future. Pilot demo inflation and all that.
ReplyDeleteConfession - I actually saw last night's Supernatural. I didn't hate it like you but I understand your concerns. For me I was just glad that at least one Winchester was having fun for awhile. Plus, Crowley. 100% agree with your hatred of Carver though.
ReplyDeleteArrow is the show I have dropped. I will probably watch it in the summer, marathon style but there is too much TV that doesn't frustrate me to watch in the regular season.
I'm glad you watched it! Do you think you'll stay with it? I just couldn't with that music, Dean singing etc...I always love Crowley and like I said, I really felt like I could love Sam again.
ReplyDeleteThere is literally no scenario - beyond the cast/crew wanting out (which will not happen) - in which The Flash doesn't get renewed.
ReplyDeleteOh I doubt I will stay with it. Carver can't write without exploding canon right and left. I just wanted to see how Demon Dean was portrayed and I was waiting for my computer to run a systems check so I had some time. I absolutely loved Sam in this episode - the karoake not so much. I was with the crowd in those scenes.
ReplyDeleteExactly. Even if the cast did want out, it would probably keep going. :-)
ReplyDeleteWAY TO GO AOS 1.7 that's good and The Flash awesome with a 1.9 sorry the other show after you can't get that.
ReplyDeleteThe Flash 1.9, I'm speechless!
ReplyDeleteSo long, Forever. It was nice knowing ya. :-(
ReplyDeleteThe Flash adjusted up, I'm so happy and speechless, obviously these ratings won't hold, but if it keeps around 1 the whole season, it's a big hit for the cw.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile Chicago Fire keeps killing it...
ReplyDeleteI loveeee Forever its doing good compared to all the other new shows.....so I don't think is a bye bye just yet!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Flash is on fire!! Well deserved!
ReplyDeleteI hope The Flash gets good ratings like this through out the season. This show needs it with all the special effects.
ReplyDeleteVery impressed and happy for The Flash, the people in charge deserve all of the kudos. Pedowitz has managed the seemingly impossible task of saving The CW.
ReplyDeleteHowever, above all I'm sad for AoS which has officially hit a series low. I always have that show pegged as very safe due to Disney owning ABC, the 18-34 male demo and whatnot, but what if it hits 1.5 or even lower? They need to do some cross-promotion with Age of Ultron that'll draw attention to the show again (last season was a real wasted opportunity to boost it using Winter Soldier and the very direct crossover). And of course, figure out a decent lead-in... although it looks like The Flash will be dominating the non-CBS audience in that slot.
