There will be a meeting of the sci-fi minds as former The Walking Dead star Sarah Wayne Callies will be joining the cast of Colony, the new USA Network pilot from former Lost co-showrunner Carlton Cuse. Another Lost alum, Josh Holloway, will also be starring in the drama, which takes place in a modern day Los Angeles that is being occupied by alien invaders.
In her first TV role since The Walking Dead, Callies will be playing Katie Bowman, a mother of three and wife to Holloway’s former FBI agent Will Bowman, who seeks to protect his family by collaborating with the alien government to fight the human resistance forces.

ReplyDeleteI'd love for her to be something different from a wife and a mother. Don't get me wrong, I just think that she's a very good actress and it's a bit difficult to prove yourself when you're meant to play a role which is already well-defined and somehow dependant on and complementary to someone else's storyline. Unless you're the lead and you have the chance to explore your character. She had some freedom in building her own character during Prison Break. Anyway I'm curious to watch this show. I hope it's good and that it lasts.
