  1. I still hoping there will be a suicide Squad spin off so we can see use his martial arts skills........but who know with a possible SS movie coming out

  2. I'd love Suicide Squad spin off. It'd probably be the best of the CW's three!

    ReplyDelete
  3. I automatically assumed we would see them again eventually. Will be sad if we don't.

  4. is it weird that fans love the suicide squad considering they're villains

    ReplyDelete
  5. I never doubted that the Squad wouldn't come back, question is when.

  6. Miachel Jay White's Bronze Tiger is another villain who has come in three episodes but never got to shine. He was hardly there in Suicide Squad episode. It was all about deadshot whom I love. His martial arts is not utilized properly till now in this universe. Also that hideous claws are pulling him back from going all out ninja.

  7. Can you explain to me why do people like the suicide squad this much?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Not really. For one, I think villains do have this gravitational pull if they're interesting enough, but two, the Suicide Squad aren't QUITE villains, really. Mostly each member have this personality that can be relatable.

  9. "Tremors" really got into Bronze Tiger more than both "Identity" or "Suicide Squad" combined, but Arrow decided to make it known that their version of BT is simply a mercenary that would be hired for the right amount, and it's still up in the air if it's JUST for financial reasons as it didn't seem like China White paid BT anything. I would hope that we do learn more about him because he could be a fantastic villain with a great backstory, so I hope the producers don't waste him anymore.

I still want to know why BT wasn't even in "Unthinkable", though. Yes, MJW may not have been available, but I would at least get a reason for why BT wasn't in the season finale, especially since it wasn't just Deadshot that outlived the SS episode.

  10. yeah i guess deadshot is kind of redeemable and i also think oliver was part of the original suicide squad

  11. The Suicide Squad is a HUGE ordeal in the DC Universe. They're soo many members (and it changes a lot throughout the years). It's a huge organization of imprisoned anti-heros and they perform very high risk black ops missions, for the US gov't in exhange for "pardons" of w/e previous crimes they've commited. They also go by Task Force X, (two different groups though) their missions are so classified, that the Gov't itself are able to deny any and ALL involvement, by stating they're not responsible for any damages done by super-villian attacks. Their base of operations resided in Belle Reve prison. Which is a prison full of extremely dangerous meta-humans. Head of the Organization-- Amanda Waller.

That's why everyone loves them. They're badass. (some of them) some more than others. Most of the characters you've probably heard of. There's not one member that's been a part of that squad that you haven't heard of. Hoped that helped. = )

  12. They didn't give him any agency or character build up in any of the three episodes. Even Sean Maher was wasted as Sharpnel. Only Deadshot has any personality among the members of SS.

  14. Yeah it did a little thank you, I mean I know what the SS is I did watch the SS episode and Samllville my problem is that I just can't root for a group of super villains even if they are stopping criminals but I get your point they are bada** and I'm sure their missions are cool and filled with excitement and action and that's why people like them but I'm not a fan atm, the only member I like in the current squad was deadshot and that's because he showed a little humanity in the SS episode and helped in the season finale, maybe I will change my mind when they show up again, time will tell.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Wow, you are such a sissy. Lmao

    ReplyDelete
  16. If not rooting for criminals makes me a sissy then bravo me lol did you notice that I always manage to turn your insults into a compliment? hahahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hahaha Idt they'd put her in, but that would awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Facepalm. Well sorry to disappoint you but you've already rooted for some suicide squad members already. Lmao

    ReplyDelete
  19. Nope I said I liked deadshot only because he showed some humanity and compassion and helped our heroes and not because I'm a fan of his criminal portfolio lol

    ReplyDelete
  20. I keep hoping for theCW to fully embrace their digital spin-offs. They have been doing "Play it Again, Dick" on theCWSeed for a while now and it seems to be working.

If they only shot a 80 minute long web series for the Suicide Squad...that would be AWESOME and serve as fantastic promotion for Arrow

IMO they should generally do more webseries to air on machinima and theCW seed as promo material.

I'm hoping that the rumored Kol webseries will be darker and more bloody to be released on machinima, maybe bringing in a new kind of audience

    ReplyDelete
  21. I fully agree with you but PLEASE, please don't use SS as a shortage for the Suicide Squad. It's a mistake that was done in the comics at times as well and comes of as sort of insensitive to..you know....

    ReplyDelete
  22. Need to clarify: that's the point of the Suicide Squad.

The group was always a pool of redemption for former villains, Deadshot hasn't been a villain ever since the early 2000s. Deathstroke counts as an anti-hero these days.

    ReplyDelete
  23. On TVD people are rooting for Damon, on The Originals people are rooting for Klaus, on Supernatural people are rooting for Dean

people have been rooting for villains for A LONG time

also: not many members of the current Suicide Squad line-up are true villains.
Deadshot and Bronze Tiger are mercs, people that are paid to serve. They are weapons that are whielded by the true villains.
Oliver killed people as well, Sara killed people and yet almost everyone is rooting for them. Lord knows they did bad stuff and killed bad people to make up for it BUT who knows if Deadshot and Bronze Tiger haven't

On this show everyone is in some way a villain, especially Oliver/Sara

    ReplyDelete
  24. and that's only because Deadshot has a bigger episode count.
I think the issue with White is that they couldn't book him for too long (he was credits as a special guest star, probably indicating that he had a larger pay check than the others)

I'm still mad that they killed off Shrapnel like that, granted he is an explosives expert and could have faked his death BUT until we're not proven different I'll buy into his death.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I remember they gave him only two dialogues in SS. And in tremors he was just a paid thug. Last year SDCC they announced Miachel Jai White was cast as Bronze Tiger with much fanfare since Caity Lotz's intro was already spoiled by Mark Pedowitz. I expected a lot from him. J August Richard's assassin role in season 1 had more character than Bronze Tiger.

That's why I am scared for J R Ramirez's Wild Cat. We know Ray Palmer is going to get a full fledged role like Sara Lance. He is confirmed for 16 episodes. I hope Wild Cat don't end up like Bronze Tiger. This is another character in which I have huge expectations. I have given JRR and wildcat the responsibility to make Laurel Lance likable for me.

I hope Sharpnel comes back but for now he is dead dead. The thing with SS is they can add and deduct characters to the club as they want. They only have to say the characters who are gone are on other missions by Waller. I think we will see new characters in SS this season. Will Slade join by the end of season?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Agreed. Having both a Kol webseries and a Suicide Squad webseries sounds like heaven.

    ReplyDelete
  27. true, but we all know WHY they hyped the hell out of his casting: because he's Michael Jai White. You know him from more shows than most of the cast.

I share your fear about Wild Cat, they tend to announce big stuff for Laurel only to COMPLETELY mess it up or swoop it under a rug later. I don't trust the writers to do much with Laurel since they haven't in the past. I thought her downwards spiral would have worked if they just wouldn't have ended it the way they DID end it, with Laurel apologizing to everyone despite not being in the wrong.
I would have taken it further, get Laurel into a deep addiction spiral until 3*01, the second Sara dies in front of her eyes we expect our (in my version heavy junky) Laurel to turn to heroin more than ever but it comes other than we expected: she goes full revenge mode, trains to avenge her death. Her pain turns into anger

Deathstroke was a part of the Squad but never a main member,he works best solo

  28. While Deadshot has the most personality out of the SS, again, I think "Tremors" did a decent job in at least bringing more out of Bronze Tiger than "Identity" ever did. We just need MORE from Bronze Tiger because he's just now Constantine Drakon, really.

    ReplyDelete
  29. On TVD I like Stefan and Matt, on TO I like Elijah and when I used to watch SPN I liked Sam

I don't root for villains that's why it's hard for me to like a whole group of criminals, and the only time I liked Deadshot was when he wasn't acting like a criminal in SS he showed a shred of humanity when he was talking about his daughter and in the season finale he helped them even though he didn't have to. I'm still not a fan of BT although he did save Lyla so that earned him some points.

I know Oliver killed a lot of people and I am sure that I won't like the Hong Kong flashbacks when he starts killing people in cold blood BUT current day Oliver is not a killer anymore he is a hero and he is trying to redeem himself and he will always hate himself for what he did and also what makes Oliver different from the SS members is that what he did during those 5 years wasn't by choice he was forced to do it to survive he wasn't doing it for the money or because he liked killing people, it's still wrong though but he had no choice.

As for Sara I was never a fan of her LoA storyline or the time she was working with Ivo and til this day it irritates me like you can't imagine that her family was SO OK with her willingly returning to the LoA and smiling and hugging, the only thing that was missing was a cake with the words "good luck" on it, like seriously!! Quentin is a policeman how is he so okay with his daughter being an assassin????

  30. I hope Suicide Squad gets back!!!

  31. Last season in the second half SS was the only episode in which Diggle had any importance so most of the episode centered around him and Deadshot. I wish this time when they do SS they concentrate less on Diggle and more on all the squad members.

  32. When season 2 began as an audience we are coming from season 1 where Laurel made mistakes. First was her sleeping with Oliver after saying I love you to Tommy one day before. Next was her not leaving the office after repeated warnings which led to death of Tommy. They cut the scene which explains her motive for staying. But even if they did that, in season 2 we don't see Laurel helping people with those precious saved papers (if only she was saving some poor sod from a collapsing building) instead she is in a new job hunting Arrow. Then she is popping pills and abusing alcohol because she feels guilt for Tommy. This would have worked so much for me if they had shown us Laurel having a nightmare about Tommy, her and Oliver or at least her looking at a photo of Tommy. We could have known what is going on in her head better.

In Blindspot she emptied a clip on to officer Daly thinking he is brother blood. Then no reference is made to that killing in the show. Where as for Roy, Oliver and Sara killing is a big thing. Later in 214 they make her apologize and alcoholism over. I did not want an extended addiction route for Laurel but I would have liked if she slipped the wagon at least once and Sara picked her up and motivates her. Instead we get Laurel giving romantic advise to Oliver and Sara and that's when I completely got fed up with this character. We should have gotten so many great sister scenes instead of that crap. That would have made Sara's death more horrible when we look through Laurel's eyes. Then came the blackmail which seems to be sweeped under the carpet just like her killing the cop.

All that being said after initial days of season 2 this is the time when I am most hopeful for Laurel. I hope they don't screw it up. Romantic or not I hope Wild Cat and Laurel have a spirited relationship and not angsty one. I can't go through miserable and angsty Laurel for one more season. I will take avenging angel any day. I am a bit disappointed that they went with the trope of revenge for Laurel. I always thought she will loose her faith in justice system and thus will turn to vigilantism. What I don't get is once Laurel find Sara's killer and gets her revenge then why should she be a masked hero?

  33. Well SS was always going to be a Diggle-centric episode anyways. I don't think any future SS episode will have much to do about Diggle.

    ReplyDelete
  34. That's not what I meant. I wasn't talking about the series specifically, (sorry got busy after last reply) I meant that you like Barbara Gordon, Penguin, Speedy, Bruce Wayne, Harley Quinn, to name a few, and they have all (one time or another) been members of or affiliated with The Suicide Squad.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Wait a second when did I ever say that I like those characters? First of all I have no idea who penguin is, and you already know I don't like batman and I don't watch his movies so I'm not familiar with Barbara Gordon the only thing I know about her is that she is Oracle and people were angry when they thought the show was going to make Felicity Oracle (still not clear on why exactly) and that's it, and the only time I saw speedy was on Smallville and I didn't care for her and as for HQ I only know about her the stuff you told me so I don't even know the character to like her or dislike her.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Idr you ever saying you didn't. Were you not looking forward to Barbara?? Not only was she Oracle, she is also Batgirl. Penguin Is a Batman villian. And when iI said Speedy, I'm talking about Roy Harper. The point I was trying to make is that the Suicide Squad members, it's not always black and white, most of the characters you know as "good" have also been "bad" or anti-hero/vvillains at some point.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Looking forward to seeing her where? I feel like I'm in the middle of a conversion between you and someone else, HEY it's me Koky lol. BTW is Bargirl different from Batwoman or are they same character? and if they are different how do you keep track of all of those characters and their alter egos? It's impressive! Aaaah you meant Roy oh ok, actually I started to like him in season 2 when he wasn't a gang banger anymore, here is the thing I know that most of the characters were criminals/anti heroes/villains at some point I get that BUT I start to like them and root for them when they are reformed when they are trying to redeem themselves and that's my problem with the SS even if they are doing good work, deep down they are still criminals, they are not doing that because they want to help but because they want to be pardoned, when push comes to shove they will abandon their team just like shrapnel did, you get my point?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sigh, nooo I'm talking directly to you. Mac just ended up putting in his own two cents. Batgirl is very different from Batwoman. For one they have different names, lol. Two, it's all about the ages and versions of the comics and characters. When you read the comics of keep up with the "Comic lore" it's very easy to tell the characters apart. I have no comment on the rest of what you said. lol

    ReplyDelete
  39. OH MY GOD I'm getting a headache, I KNOW you're talking to me, it was a joke! Because we can't agree on anything lol
