  1. I only wish The CW had given Arrow as much promotion as they did with The Flash because those ratings were huge for the show.

  2. You mean when "Arrow" first debuted? Or promoting the new season this year?

  3. This season. It's already has such a different vibe to it and would be a great starting point for a broader audience.

  4. Gotcha. I feel like it's gotten a decent amount for a returning show, but it's never going to match the promotional budget of a new show.
I do wonder if any non-"Arrow" viewers who watched "The Flash" will give it a try tonight.

  8. Oooh, cool that he's getting a cameo, with all the spoilers from the premiere, I'm surprised we haven't heard of it yet.

  10. Cool, I hope it's better than the Arrow cameo on Flash.

  11. eh, I kinda hope it's only a phone conversation in wich he's stating to still be alive and well since the Arrow-only watcher doesen't know about his current state.

No superpowers this season, remember Guggenheim. You promised me!

  12. And still some spoilers left. I wonder e hat will be the surprise.....

  13. That's my hope... Especially since this season the show seems to be more light and colourfull than last seasons, considering The Arrow is now an accepted heroe.

  14. Lol tell that to episode 8 The Brave and the Bold. Superpowers are just gonna be part of the deal.

  15. The Brave and the Bold is a Flash episode though, I would actually be total game if they were to show Oliver pull super stunts he would pull on Arrow on The Flash. I could totally see Merlyn pull some arrow magic on Flash he couldn't on Arrow. Bending the universes rules to each show would be an amazing concept

  16. No, B&B is the Arrow epi. The Flash epi is named "Flash vs Arrow".

  17. LOL I find it funny how this was kept secret for so long but as soon as Flash does really well in ratings. They are like "FLASH peeps! Make sure you watch Arrow! We want those ratings as well."

  18. damn, you're right. Sh*t

  19. No Flash vs. Arrow is The Flash episode. The Brave and The Bold is the Arrow crossover part. It's not changing the rules, they both operate on the same rules, the difference is the particle acceleration explosion is the in universe justification for the vast majority of metahumans like Barry Allen, or Ronnie Raymond and allows Arrow (being set 600 miles away) to justify the lack of superhuman beings.

  20. I'm not talking universes, I'm talking the creative choices they could make.

They might be in the same universe but style wise both ARE different, the one has been set-up as gritty and realisitc whereas the other is embracing the super hero-aspect 100%.

Olivers one stunt in the Flash was already bigger in scale and reaching than on Arrow. Why? Because on the Flash they can go more out because their audience is used to a different kind of action.

Style and creative-wise both are unique and different from the other.

Now IF I wanted Oliver to jump off buildings, do crazy/impossible jumps.
IF I wanted Merlyn to go full comic-Merlyn to shoot across corners or just make it arrow-rain on his enemies.
IF I wanted Deathstroke to move like he does in the comics (flips, jumps and crazy stunts)

then I'd go to the Flash

They can't show these skills on Arrow because they don't fit the style, they do fit The Flashs

  21. It would seem somewhat out of place as the two are definitely dissimilar in terms of style and tone, but it would be possible and completely justifiable if Arrow wanted to ever do so and they could do so (Mirakuru combined with shared universe allows it, that and come on like what Oliver and Merlyn do is that realistic anyway). But his stunt in the Flash really could've been pulled out of any Arrow episode, and appears very similar to one shown in the high speed chase trailer. While Arrow chooses to focus more on realism and darkness it has very embraced as of the end of season 2, that Oliver is end a true hero. It's fine if you don't want any superpowers in Arrow, but the writers have given themselves future justification for including them if they want to, they obviously don't want to however.
