  2. Lmao at Malcolm giving Thea serious heart eyes when she stands up to him. Their scenes will be fun.

  3. Thea baby what did you get yourself into. I can't wait for this. This is my most anticipated story line. Look how proud he is when she curses at him. He is ruthless.

  4. Merlyn, the monster he should be.
He has a point though, like Slade didn't hold back with Ollie he won't with Thea.

I do hope that we see them tonight though, at least a glimpse of them in the final scene would be great

  5. LOL I think this was posted by accident too

    Merlyn is batsh*t crazy omg

  6. I don't think Slade bunched Oliver in the face ever. Merlyn is crazy lol

  7. They will not go another episode without Thea and Malcolm right? At the end of the episode Roy will tell Oliver about Thea not backpacking. Oliver's surprised face or he tells Felicity to find Thea. Scene transition to Corto Maltese where Thea is trained by Malcolm or we might see her back. That will be a great way to end the episode

  8. The EP's said they won't show up until the 3rd episode but I guess they could surprise us

    ReplyDelete
  9. do we know this is a preview for Corto Maltese? I haven't read anything episode specific there?

    ReplyDelete
  10. There are better ways to train someone. Merlyn is one sick SOB!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Well....we KNOW that they'll appear in episode 3 due to the writers telling us about the car scene. And we'll see Malcolm in episode 4 since it's "his" episode.
    As for that scene....

I would hope that it's actually for tonight, the timing would fit. Especially since the training sequences would be perfect to be pre- or postshot for Barrowman to catch up on episodes.

I'll be honest.....I don't think I'll survive another episode like the last. Weak overall with a bomb to end it. Really hoping for the season 1/2 tone to return instead of the (sorry ODA) Olicity heavy crap we were fed last week

  12. No need to apologize. You like what you like. I was not happy with last episode too. It had too many high points like date getting blasted, Diggle baby, Roy disarming the bomb, Canary and Oliver taking down the count but nothing had any emotional impact because we were racing to finish the next scene. So I agree we need better execution not just shocking ends. When did they start this tradition of shocking ends on Arrow? Was it from The Scientist onwards last season when Barry opens his eyes at the lair?

  13. I hope they surprise us. That will make us eager to watch next episode.

  15. Yeah I was wondering the same thing. They didn't always the shocking ending thing but they seem to do it all the time now. ever since episode 7 or 8 of season 2. I guess they are just trying to keep viewers.

  16. Big shocks were always used to end episodes the writers knew were lackluster. Big reveals are a cheap trick to spice up flat material.

They always had some great cliffhangers on Arrow. Yao Fei shooting Oliver early on, Malcolm returning from the dead...all these episodes were rather weak.

What do we remember State vs. Queen for? The Count biting it? I certainly don't as the episode felt weak, meanwhile the return Malcolm made was brilliant.

Vampire Diaries did the same, we got a weak annoying episode full of romance and snooze and the final seconds showed Elijah returning from his coffin

    ReplyDelete
  17. merlyn looks like the joker with that smile

    ReplyDelete
  18. actually in season 1 they used Yao Fei under the hood shooting Oliver from behind, the Malcolm reveal as the Dark Archer, Tommy dying, all heavy cliffhangers

    ReplyDelete
  19. yeah but those were only a few. Now they do cliffhanger endings all the time. I do agree that sometimes they use them to make up for weak episodes.

  20. I am not a fan of such shocking ending for every episode. Once in a while it was fun. Now you anticipate and prepare yourself for shocks. In season 2B episodes like Seeing Red relied heavily on the shocking ending to tie the show together. Every scene before Moira's death in that episode somehow lost relevance once that happened.

  21. Wasnt this suppose to be Diggle centric episode?

    ReplyDelete
  22. yeah but it is also the first episode that Malcolm and Thea return.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I agree State vs. Queen was a joke until Malcolm revealed himself. That court case makes me laugh even now. Nothing substantial happened in the episode at all. I hope we have less shockers and more quality episodes this season.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I just hope it really is Diggle centric. Since the next one will have more focus on Malcolm.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I am always confused by how bad they handle the lawyer storylines given that MG himself was a lawyer.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I forgot how batshit crazy Malcolm was. I missed him.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Meh it worked for Oliver, Malcolm, and Sara (presumably).

    ReplyDelete
  28. They do show up because next week is the episode where they go to Corto Maltese.

    ReplyDelete
  29. But that doesn't mean they are in THIS episode. It means they are in NEXT episode. John Barrowman/Willa Holland didn't start filming until the 3rd episode.

    ReplyDelete
  30. But in season 2 they ramped up the shocking ending. Ep.1. Canary intro, Ep.2. Oliver is surrounded by police in laurel's office Ep.3 death penality for Moira so on and so forth. Sometimes I like characters sitting at a table at the end of the day and drinking tea as the episode ending.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Damn, this really makes me feel anything but better about this. I still anticipate their storyline a lot too, but I'm not exactly looking forward to it either.

But again, Malcolm's sickly ruthlessness is another HUGE difference between Thea, 'cause she's anything but. But I don't know... I still fear for how much he's going to get exactly what he wants, and what that's going to leave her as.

    ReplyDelete
  32. YEAH work for Merlyn, then he blew up 500 people!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. As long as they don't make Thea be the killer of Sara as some people predicts (which I can't see happening. Oliver will brood more), she is salvagable and can be brought back. I can't wait for Oliver to be honest with Thea. He needs his baby sister by his side.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I read those predictions too, and that would be some utter BS and utterly stupid if they choose to do that... I did read though that they "like" to do as much as possible to play AGAINST the expectation of Thea becoming "Speedy" so we'll see how far they actually want to push that, even Willa wants to actually play Speedy.

I can't ever see her being the one that did that to Sara, but overall I can't actually see her as a killer, but if that preview is from when he first started training her, then I'm still really worried in what state she'll be now, since Malcolm's talks and ways often remind me a lot of some sick personal form of brainwashing.

But I still agree, he DOES need his little sister on his side, and I still believe and think that the only real response from Thea to that truth, would be that she would love, respect and look up at him again even more. I believe she would believe way more in the person that Oliver/Green Arrow stands for, than anythign else. But since Malcolm is in 18 episodes I think, and with Ra's, I still hope they don't try to go the redemption route with him, 'cause that would be just as much BS.

    ReplyDelete
  35. AHhhhhh!!! This is awesome!! I was just thinking about them too!! Thea control the rage, and kick his ass!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I can't come up with a proper adjective to describe how disturbing that man is.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Personally I think Malcolm is nonredeemable. Arrow might join Malcolm once or twice to take down a bigger foe but he will always remain an antagonist for Arrow. By making Thea Malcolm's biological daughter they kind of assured Oliver will never kill Malcolm. I want Malcolm to be a series long villain who will have his own agenda always. Thea after joining Team Arrow can have a love hate relationship with him. I can't wait for this episode.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I can't wait for it either, even with the part of me that'skinda nervous about it xD

But they can still keep him around too long, I mean, villains that are around too long term, either get redeemed anyway, which Iagree Malcolm shouldn't be able to, or it makes the show itself suffer from it...
Once or twice against a greater threat, i could see that. But I also wouldn't really like having to constantly doubt if Thea would choose Malcolm over Oliver anyway with something, if she had a love hate relationship with him.

I'm just not sure if she would actually truly be Speedy, if a part of her would always be too closely connected to Malcolm.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Malcolm and Oliver will likely work together as the saying goes The enemy of my enemy is my friend.....they have the same enemy Ral Al Ghul!

    ReplyDelete
  40. If he ends up breaking her down and brainwashing her I'll be so pissed.

    ReplyDelete
  41. But he did that out of grief and instability not because of his training.

    ReplyDelete
  42. She might not be completely brainwashed but we can foresee some unpleasant changes in her.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm used to unpleasant. The character has always been intermittently unpleasant just by how she's written. I can deal with that.
