Adrianne Palicki has been discussing her role as Bobbi Morse in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., calling the character “badass” and revealing that the possibility of her transitioning to The Avengers movies has been discussed.
Palicki will first play the Head of Hydra Security in forthcoming S.H.I.E.L.D. episode ‘A Hen in the Wolf House’ and told us “Bobbi Morse is another badass character. She was been working with S.H.I.E.L.D. for a bit… She gets along with the team very well.”
In the comics, the character of course becomes Mockingbird, marries Hawkeye, and joins up with the Avengers, and Palicki said that the chance to potentially join that big screen team was part of the appeal when she signed up for the role.

This is exciting if it happens!
ReplyDeleteWhenever SHIELD eventually ends, I hope the characters pop up in various movies and give us updates on their lives.
Same it would be a waste for a few of them if they didn't. One character I think we should see more of that we don't is Maria Hill. I always enjoyed her character in the comics I've read (haven't read much admittedly not a huge Marvel reader) particularly where she is director of SHIELD.
ReplyDeleteLOL, it's okay. I absolutely love the MCU but I have no interest at all in the comics and have never read them. I tend to rely on my friends who do read them for information I don't know. And I think we'll be seeing more Maria since I'm pretty sure Cobie signed a contract for a lot of movies.
ReplyDeleteI dont know why people are excited. The TV show is not canon until it is acknowledged in the movies. If they dont, what happens on the show never matters. Its what happened with the Star Wars Extended Universe when disney made the decision to say it wasnt Canon either.
ReplyDeleteErm the TV 100% canon. Its not like the Star Wars situation at all. What happens in SHIELD is happening in the MCU overall. Its like completely and utterly canon.
ReplyDeletethe show is 100% canon the evens of Thor 2 and most important Capt America 2 effected Agents of SHIELD
ReplyDeletenot completely. It may be the same "Universe" but they can still go back on that if the TV show flames out as a disappointment. When they acknowledge the show in the movies themselves by those characters, THEN the show is officially canon with no going back. I choose to believe the show is not canon because of this reason. It was the producers and marvel's way of an insurance policy in case the show sucked.
ReplyDeleteDo I detect a hint of dissatisfaction in regards to Agents of SHIELD? The show is part of the same canon/universe as the movies, end of story. Your comments sound almost as bad as the people who hated on Star Trek Voyager or Star Trek Enterprise, because they felt the shows were somewhat "sub-par" compared to the rest.
ReplyDeleteCanon, is a matter of fact. Not opinion. Disney/Marvel has determined that both the movies and the tv-shows (Agents of Shield, and the forthcoming Agent Carter) are part of the same Marvel Cinematic Universe. Add to that, the 4 additional Marvel shows coming to Netflix in 2015.
Exactly right. How can a person claim the show is not canon, when it STARS a character who made his first appearance in Iron Man? Not to mention the crossover guest appearances by Nick Fury, Maria Hill and Lady Sif. All of which, played by the same actors as in the movies. And now latest, Peggy Carter and the Howling Commandos.
ReplyDeleteI hope so, I love the MCU but one thing I think they need to work on is using their female characters more. They have the best female characters in all of comics (bar Catwoman as I'm a Batman nerd :)) and they need to use them! I'm desperately hanging out for a Black Widow movie.
ReplyDeleteObviously the events of the show can't affect the movies only because of time difference. Movies are shot in advance while the series is shot in real time. Thus since the movies already have scripts and already filmed, its easier to affect the change on the show since it's more flexible and on going which cant happen the other way around.
