Maybe some people don't understand how do you like Damon too. So i think it's better to talk about the characters you love,than the characters you hate.The poll is not for the worst character.
I agree...since the polls allows up to 20 choices, I don't get why it would be so hard to add Jeremy Tyler and Alaric to the poll, since they are part of the main cast, especially if random characters like Kol make the list..Even Tyler's mom had a lot more screentime than Kol.
I like Damon too.In fact,i love all the tvd characters.But every person has his/her favorites,likes and dislikes.All i wanted to say was let's not make the poll negative.
And I say that, again, with the disclaimer that I wouldn't vote for Klaus in this type of poll if you had a gun to my head. (LOL, I just don't want to be suspected of supporting Klaus in any way, shape or form)
That will be Caroline, Stefan, Katherine. Too bad I could only vote for three people cause Matt would've been included in my list. Loved Kol as well but we didn't get a chance to know him more. Other : The Originals, Alaric. On the dead people department : I miss Lexie, Rose, Andie and even Vicki! I'm also very much into the Wonder Twins ;)!
I still lament that we'll never get a spin-off of Katherine, in fabulous outfits, driving around in a cool sports car, picking up hot guys and kicking people's asses. It would be soooooo much better than anything TVD in at least 3 years.
I voted for Elena and Matt. This poll must be old. We've seen enough evidence that Kol is now a TO character, whether or not Esther was able to resurrect him. I understand why Stefan is popular. That's probably why the love triangle has been broken up and Stefan is moving on.
Damon, Caroline, I would've voted Katherine, but she REALLY disgusted me in Season 5, i couldn't take her, sooo i voted other, and THAT goes to Mr. Alaric Saltzman. = )
So what? We can't vote for him because he haven't been in more episodes and couldn't have the chance to be completely destroyed by scriptwriters with some dumb romance SL?
Well, it's probably because people saw potential in his character and he wasn't around long enough for the writers to really destroy (like they did with Elijah). I think Kol had a lot of potential and The Originals would really benefit from him joining the show and causing some havoc.
My main vote was for other because I still like a lot of the characters they killed off early on (like Anna, Pearl, and even Isobel). The main characters have really been destroyed by the writing - Damon was a great villain in Season 1 but I hate what they've done to his character more recently. I like Caroline but they really need to develop her as a character and have her not there to just prop up the male characters. I still love Katherine, but I hate what they did to her in Season 5 - having her obsessively pine over Stefan because it seemed so OCC for her.
Pretty sure Nate said he was only going to be in a flashback on TO - and it's like one episode. He's not going to be appearing on TO other than that most likely.
I really don't see it! He was a hot headed prick who was going against walls. Especially his actions in S04 were a no go. They tried to antagonize him but failed completely. The only time I liked him was in 5x18.
And even if you like his character he doesn't deserve best character status, IMO. BUt again this is my POV.
Nate Buzolic is going to be in a flashback, but it looks like that'll be the extent of him resuming his role as Kol, unless he's called back to be in more flashbacks later on. There was a shot in the Comic Con promo of Kol's dead body while Esther did some kind of spell nearby, most likely a passenger spell (or whatever they're going to call it on TO) to put Kol in another body. It could be that the flashback will just be of Esther putting Kol in that African American witch's body, as a visual explanation of how Kol is brought back.
It's looking more and more like Kol will be resurrected in another body and played by a different actor in scenes focused on the present day. What I keep wondering is whether the African American witch will turn out to be Kol, or if the shot of Kol's body is from an unrelated scene and Kol has been brought back in a different body. Some people believe that Kaleb is actually Kol, which makes sense considering the spelling of their names and how Kaleb will behave a lot like Kol did when he was in NOLA before. That would trigger more than one flashback of Kol. It would be really interesting if it turned out that Esther brought back more than one brother as permanent passengers. Esther was heard talking about a family reunion, and Julie Plec hinted that Klaus would have to face the rest of his family, and that Esther was really crafty in pulling spirits (plural) out of the Other Side.
I've always loved them while others have disappointed me lately or at some point during the show, or I never really liked them at all.
Loved Lexi and Rose too, but that was mostly for their interactions with Stefan and Damon. Which is the same with Caroline. The best of Caroline is her friendship with Stefan.
Exclusive to "Diaries" - 1) Bonnie - a powerful witch from a long line of powerful witches that put vampires in their place when they are "acting up" in Mystic Falls. 2) Caroline - she is the BFF that keeps on giving and giving and..............a pretty "bad - @$$" fledgling vampire too! 3) Katherine - she is the villain we love to hate. She got the best of everyone..............Damon. Stefan, Elena, Tyler, Elijah, and even Klaus............everyone! Of course it goes without saying (poll aside), Damon...............is "The Vampire Diaries"! BECAUSE DIARIES ARE 4 READING, I am still Nobody!!!

I was rooting for Kol in Season 4. He was the only character who even stopped to think about what would happen if they raised Silas.

Yeah but it was poorly executed. If he really wanted to stop it he would, and how easily was he killed. Poor just poor.
