I literally cannot scream NO loud enough given a bullhorn linked into the PA system to every stadium, event center, theater, mall, airport, school, and bus terminal in the world at the same time. They make good FRIENDS, but she has demonstrated time and time again that she does not think of him that way. The show should be demonstrating that a boy and a girl being friends and JUST friends is okay, not that if the guy just hangs around long enough, the girl will eventually 'realize' that she loves him. The idea of that is disgusting.
Yes please, please and please, they all ready are a couple, but they need to show us that. Althougt i love Malia to, but Stiles it will always be Lydia´s boy :)
Their friendship is so good and fun now AND Stiles seems quite happy with Malia. I don't understand why Lydia and Stiles should be together. Definitely not.
by that logic Stiles shouldn't change either. Besides these two characters grew a lot, Stiles was presented as a geek in love with the pretty girl. and Lydia was the mean girl rejecting him. By the end of season 1 we've learned Lydia isn't just a pretty girl and Stiles wasn't simply a geek. And know i feel like they are so much closer as opposed of what we were meant to belive in season 1 and 2. Idk i guess i liked Stiles and Lydia backstory better it makes more sense to me so im hoping that the writers are going to doing at some point maybe not now but someday.
When Jeff Davis (aka director of Teen Wolf) was asked about Stiles and Lydia in a recent Comic Con interview, he compared them to Mulder and Scully from the X-Files saying that "When Mulder and Scully got together, the show was over." So basically he's saying that Stiles and Lydia are going to have some sort of epic ending just like Mulder and Scully but it would take sometime. I'm guessing the second half of season 5.
Yes, yes, yes. It started out as a very childish crush with Lydia ignoring him. But we've seen them grow continuously closer, and while we viewed them as extremely different people in the beginning of the show, now (as Holland Roden put it) they are "two sides of the same coin." I think they have the best relationship development, while Stiles and Malia were rushed. Seriously? They had unprotected sex on a dirty couch in the basement of a mental institution while Stiles was possessed. Not cute. Plus their relationship is very immature and underdeveloped. I don't see why people say Stiles and Lydia would be cliched and wouldn't make sense. She ignored him and made it clear she had no interest in him back in the first season. Since then we've seen them work together, hug, KISS, and show evidence of feelings (from both sides, not just Stiles). She is no longer the popular, overly confident girl that she was in season one. And he is no longer the stupid little boy pining over a girl he could never have. And that relationship development would make for a very mature, long-lasting relationship. I know I want to date somebody who is my best friend first and my lover second. And that's what I want for Stiles and Lydia. Plus, they bicker like an old married couple, and them being an actual couple would just make that even better.
I get your point. But I think the writers wanted to focus a bit more on their individual character development, especially this season for Lydia letting her grow into her powers and role. There aren't miles apart but they are in a huge friend zone but that can shift quickly, depending on what the writers want for them. But as you said someday . . .
I don't get why everyone still wants Stydia to happen. It was a cute ship during season 1 & 2 but things are different now and I just can't ship them anymore. They have great chemistry and I love their friendship, they work great together and can rely on each other. I like them as close friends not as a couple.
Because you don't just throw away a buildup and potential like there's for ships that are fast tracked in one season. Stydia is the only ship on the show Jeff actually took the time to mold & build. What I don't get is ppl claiming that they were a 'nice ship in s1&2' then turn right around and bash Lydia for ignoring him.
yeah but the love between Mulder and Scully was palpable in each episode. Lydia does not have that with Styles, therefore it is not a good comparison. Lydia has yet to show that kind of affection that Styles shows towards her. If I asked that question from Davis and got that reply, I would be severely unsatisfied and disappointed.
Parrish and Lydia - Not interesting to me enough. Malia and Stiles - Just cute.
I can't help it I just love Stiles and Lydia. Or maybe that idea. Or maybe I'm just so conviced by the other people who have always told me that a man and woman can't have just a friendship. Who knows But I love them. And I'm sure we'll get a movie with Dylan and Holland one day sooner or later. I just love watching those two working on this show. :))
Btw. those people who have always told me that a man and woman can't have a friendship are my closest one but also people at my work, people in my town not just some people on the internet. And this is the first time I actually want to believe them lol. But then I've also got one man who I like just as a friend. Life is so hard and so complicated and that's why we love tv show/movies and fictional couples :))) Because we can run away and dream on and on.
The thing that bugs me the most about Stydia is that it's so problematic. If Lydia really loved Stiles like everyone who ships them together says she does, then why is it that when Lydia gave Jackson back his key the only thing that turned him from a kanima into a werewolf was that the key symbolized the love that she had for Jackson? Why is it that when Stiles was single after Jackson left town Lydia chose to have sex with random guys instead of getting into a relationship with Stiles? Why is it that she chose to get into a relationship of sorts with one of the twins before choosing Stiles? It's clear to me that Lydia doesn't think of Stiles in that manner.
