The biggest television tease of the year has been HBO's prolonged "True Detective" Season 2 cast announcement.
It still hasn't arrived, but there are more rumors in the mix. According to Variety, the latest name in talks to join the anthology series is Rachel McAdams. The actress is reportedly a top candidate for the female lead, the same no-nonsense sheriff that Elisabeth Moss and Michelle Forbes of "The Killing" have also been tapped to play.

interesting news if true, I'd be interested to see what she could do
ReplyDeleteI like McAdams I'd be intrigued to see her in this role!
ReplyDeleteVariety needs to stop acting like a school newspaper and update their stuff. Michelle Forbes is outta the question now that`s she doing both The Returnered and Powers. Also some of their rumors (not their confirmations) tends to be outdated stuff when it comes to casting shortlists. .
ReplyDeleteHmmm i don't think she's good enough for this show.
ReplyDeleteOkay, enough with the rumors: if no one will do it, then I will. That's a SpTV exclusive : Bunky Bunk is cast in season 2 of True Detective (opposite Jimmy McNulty then, probably... gives me an idea).
ReplyDeleteInteresting news! I personally love all those actresses so whoever gets the part I'll be quite happy!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan of hers, but it is amazing what a great script and talented director can do for even a mediocre actor's performance! It would be a great break for her if true.
ReplyDeleteTruth is after all these casting rumors I no longer care to invest anything into them. Meh.
I won't really look forward to any specific actor until we get an official HBO press release announcing the cast.
Oh I do like the sound of this.
ReplyDeleteRachel McAdams reminds me of The Notebook and many hours spent as a teenager crying - would be nice to see her in something more serious.
the first rumor I'm VERY interested in. Please make this happen.
ReplyDeleteLove her. She'd be a great addition
ReplyDeleteRachel is great. Love her since "Red Eye".
ReplyDeleteRegina George would totally be able to kick ass.
ReplyDeleteI might just have to let go of my indifference for the show and watch it. iwono maybe.
