Wonder what all those commercial airline crews do with their free time during the constant layovers in cities far away from their homes? Fox’s The Ultimate Getaway, executive produced by Sheldon Turner, Seth Gordon and Jennifer Klein, is exploring one possible scenario.
Written/executive produced by Kevin Costello, the project centers on a commercial airline crew who, to escape the drudgery of their everyday lives, use their layovers to commit robberies in different cities across the country. The drama is produced by Sony TV where Turner and Klein’s Vendetta Prods. as well as Gordon’s Exhibit A have deals. Turner has experience with airline-themed projects – he co-wrote the George Clooney starrer Up In the Air.
Ultimate Getaway originated as an idea from Dave Johnson. It was developed by Vendetta with Costello. The project then got the attention of Gordon who boarded it before it was sold to Fox.
