Hey all,
The first day of the competition was highly entertaining. After falling behind early, Agents of SHIELD fought back and triumphed easily over Arrow, gaining 53.73% of the votes - 258 votes clear of its comic book rival. We also saw Battlestar Galactica progress, beating One Tree Hill by 95 votes.
Today sees a show that until this competition, I had never heard of. The seemingly popular Legend of the Seeker faces NBC's hit show The Blacklist. In the second poll, the ever popular The Big Bang Theory takes on Alias.

ReplyDeleteUltimately, I went with The Blacklist and Big Bang. Blacklist because James Spader is one of my favorite actors ever and Big Bang because I eventually lost interest in Angel, but even after seven seasons, Big Bang is still one of my favorites.

ReplyDeleteSeeing Legend of the Seeker lose will break my heart .... :p seriously I wish more people knew about this amazing show. It doesn't have the best writing, the best acting or the best CGI but I don't really care I'm so happy when I'm watching it :D The characters are just so great. It deserved more seasons

ReplyDeleteLegend of the Seeker and Angel. I LOVE The Big Bang Theory (one of the best sitcoms ever) but Angel was a part of my childhood and I just really love that show (actually like it better than BTVS).

ReplyDeleteIf I ever have a daughter one of my fave possible middle names for her is Kahlan because I love both the character and he name.
A lot of female fans want great female characters and she definitely is one, and a great reason to watch the show :)

ReplyDeleteIt was a fun show. It's a shame they didn't get a third season, there was more story to tell.
ReplyDeleteToday is much harder for me, mostly because I actually seen and like all of the shows listed but none of them are my favorites. I marathoned Legend of the Seeker due to one of these contests and I liked it but I wasn't obsessed like many people. The Blacklist had the most intriguing new character of the season but had one of the most languishing, stalled plots of them all. The Big Bang Theory is entertaining and still make me laugh, but most of the characters seem stalled. It was no where near the best comedy this season. Angel is one of my favorite spin-offs but then it brought in Connor, the Buffy of Angel, and things went downhill immediately. In the end I went with The Blacklist because it has the most potential to fix its issues and Angel because I think TBBT's heydays are behind them now.

ReplyDeleteI never, ever understood Conner. I couldn't stand the character from the start. Also, if they had to give Angel a son, they could have found an actor who at least resembled DB.

ReplyDeleteI liked Angel but after that Cordelia and Conner mess and when the team started working at the evil law firm (can't remember its name right now) I lost interest in the show and didn't even finish the last season which is a good thing because I know it ended on a cliffhanger, so that was easy I voted for TBBT because I love that show and not only because I was disappointed at Angel.

ReplyDeleteI agree about the whole Cordelia and Connor mess, but the last season (when they started workin for Wolfram & Hart) for me was the best by far. With Spike joining as a regular the show was much better and it had one of the best series finales.

I am actually surprised Angel is beating TBBT. nothing against TBBT, but Angel is a far superior show.

Legend of the Seeker was actually a pretty good show, but canceled after just 2 seasons. It may of been an ABC Disney production but it was televised on the CW in the US and CTV in Canada.
I tried watching TBBT but after just 2 episode I had to give up. For one thing it's not funny Mork & Mindy was funny, 3rd Rock From The Sun was funny, Better off Ted funny was funny, The Office not funny, TBBT not funny at all. I had to include the office because thats another show not listed here but I dislike that show The first time I watched The Office I was like WOW people actually watch this crap? and TBBT got that same reaction from me WOW people actually watch this crap?

ReplyDeleteAs much as I loved Seeker, it can not beat James Spader in Blacklist for me. Also have to go with Angel, mainly because of Spike in season 5.
ReplyDeleteAngel! As much as I have kept up with Big Bang Theory, if you have me 44 minutes to choose between 2 TBBT and 1 Angel episode would choose Angel. I think this will be my voting method even if I like both shows, which would I rather watch a re-run of.

ReplyDeleteRound Two my picks are Agents of SHIELD why you ask! Because it hasn't been canceled. My second pick will be The Blacklist Same reason for AOS except for The Blacklist is a far better show more enjoyable to watch than Angel was. IN MY OPINION
