Hey all,
Clark Kent couldn't save Smallville from a crushing defeat to three-time winner Supernatural yesterday, while Burn Notice got burned by Buffy, which progresses to the third round.
Today sees Beauty and the Beast face Charmed, before FRIENDS takes on Almost Human.
Reminder of the rules:

ReplyDeleteOnly Batb, have not watched the others, so I cannot comment on them. Wouldn't say anything negative about shows I do not watch anyway, for me it's being disrespectful to it's fans. I'm sure they are great shows.

As for the 1st match up, I went with Charmed even though I've never seen either show only because more cast from that have been nicer to me than batb.

ReplyDeleteI honestly don't understand, really, I can't understand why a show (Beauty & The Beast) with SUCH low ratings can get so many votes! Why aren't these voters watching the show on the telly??! 'Cause it certainly doesn't seem like it. By the way, Charmed and Almost Human for me. In my opinion, FRIENDS is THE most overrated sitcom ever!
ReplyDeleteI have to choose between BatB and Charmed? that's unfair I can't decide! But if I have to choose I'd choose Charmed, I love BatB but Charmed is one of my top all time favourites and I have years and 8 seasons of memories connected to it so it gets my vote.

I DID like Almost Human - but how can you pit one show with 10 seasons against one that only had ONE season ...... ?
ReplyDeleteBecause television is not the only medium poeple use to watch tv shows. More and more poeple are watching online, via PC, ipads, iphones etc. Which is why a lot of low ratings shows got renewed this year. The online downloads were huge. People who watch online also have to view adverts and can't skip them like people do when they watch TV. I watch everything online and so do a ot of people I know. They are also counting DVR viewings now too, the ratings reflect live viewings and some DVR. But networks are now starting to count DVR viewings going out as much as 14 days. a lot of people have busy lives and networks know they can't watch live. They are also starting to use SM like twitter to gauge a show's audience. BatB has the highest number of twitter activity than other CW shows. hope that answers your question. By the way, I'm a BatB fan and happen to love this show. Thank you for respecting that and not insulting a show I happen to love, like other people are doing.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, it is all clear to me now, Maria. Thank you. I didn't know networks were taking DVR viewings into consideration as well. It all makes sense now. Also, I'd never be disrespectful to a show I dislike. True, I dislike B&TB. I watched a few episodes last year and did not like it. Not like so many people out there who just seem to hate it for.....hating it. I think people who come here deliberately just to spread their hatred is.....so stupid. Those people have too much free time on their hands. I also happen to like a few shows people love to hate. So I know how you feel. Anyway, thanks again.
