Yesterday saw The X Files knock out Doctor Who, while Sherlock narrowly beat Firefly.
Today sees Once Upon a Time face Orphan Black. We then have the battle of two shows with controversial endings - LOST and Dexter.
Reminder of the rules:

ReplyDeleteAs much as I love OUaT, I've just started watching OB and it's a far better and complex show, although under normal circumstacies I wouldn't compare them. So, today it's Orphan Black and Lost, because is Lost and that's all that needs to be said about it.

ReplyDeleteNo, I watched Scandal and Sleepy Hollow instead haha but I´ll download them and see them when I can. Did u like the pilots of both shows? Everyone is talking wonders about HTGAWM.
ReplyDeleteI watch sleepy hollow,dropped scandal mid season 2.I watched both the pilots & these two were a standout among few others.IMO-HTGAWM-8.5,Gotham-8,RBS-9,Forever-8.I liked these 4 the most.Looking forward to watch gracepoint and stalker next week.
ReplyDeleteI will check HTGAWM, Gotham and maybe Forever, but I always like watching new series when I know there´s going to be a second season, either by seeing how it´s doing in the ratings or when it´s announced, and I´m not really interested in watching RBS, don´t like the theme
ReplyDeleteAnd what did u think of Sleepy Hollow? I thought it was a great season premiere, and I was surprised Abbie didn´t spend more than one episode in purgatory, it was a good idea. This season looks good. I give the premiere a 9.

ReplyDeleteI most probably will have to drop RBS as it seems sure to be bearchow.I'm waiting for 2-3 more episodes ratings to take the final decision! The rest seems pretty safe bet for now!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it premiered really low, probably due to the filtration of the episode but I was still surprised it premiered so low.

ReplyDeleteI like all four series. Since we’re voting for our favourite shows, I’ve picked the ones I enjoy/enjoyed more, even if the other show in a given poll is/was superior quality-wise . So... Once Upon a Time and Dexter it is. Whichever shows make it through, I'll be happy.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely Lost and OUAT for me. For some reason, despite the amazing things I heard about Orphan Black, I just couldn't get into it. I prefer the fun campiness of OUAT even though it sometimes borders on drug-binge induced ridiculousness. I thought that Dexter was enjoyable, but I think I kind of ruined it for myself by binge watching it. After awhile his self-absorbed, navel-gazing inner monologues started too annoy me. There are only so many times I can listen to him ramble about his "dark passenger" . I love LOST for it originality and creativity and for the fact that most of the people involved with it went on to make really good tv shows and movies.

ReplyDeleteI do like Orphan Black, as well, but not nearly as much as OUAT.
I don't watch Lost or Dexter, but went with Lost b/c I'd love to see Lost and OUAT go against each other since they have same writers.

ReplyDeleteOrphan black and lost for me today. I like once punk a time but the second half of last season annoyed me too much to be able to vote for it. And I'm still not thrilled about frozen (even though I love the movie)

ReplyDeleteI'll have to give Orphan Black a try then, I never gave it a go because it really didn't seem like real science fiction to me but I've just heard too many good things about it not to at least try it.
Yep! Should have specified the weather on the East Coast of America is beautiful today! And yes! I'm sure they are screaming about the premiere tonight....Little did they know what they are missing,lol...!

ReplyDeleteAlso, you shouldn't be too surprised - this site wouldn't exist without LOST. That isn't to say that it'll win the whole competition, but it is a popular show here and will do well.
I liked Lost. The first 2-3 seasons. Then it got too weird and complicated.
