Yesterday we saw both Criminal Minds and Game of Thrones exit the competition at this early stage. Hannibal and The 100 will be progressing to the next round.
Today we see recently ended How I Met Your Mother take on recently cancelled The Tomorrow People. We also have CBS's critically acclaimed drama The Good Wife facing Revenge.

I'm still so pissed about HIMYM's ending that I almost voted for The Tomorrow People out of spite but I still love the show for what it was pre-finale.

I loved HIMYM a lot. But his end claims revenge.
For the 1st poll-the very obvious choice -HIMYM.As for the 2nd,revenge all the way for me.I couldn't get into TGW at all even though i tried hard!

I would have done that, but with the alternate ending I managed to forgive- to an extent- the series, mostly because I missed the show so badly. I will never forgive Carter Bays and Craig Thomas for what they did, but I surely had to forgive the show at some point and the alternate ending made that easier, even if the finale still sucks either way- it just sucks less with the alternative version

ReplyDeleteVoted Tomorrow People, even if its a lost cause. I just unfollowed it on Twitter today, making the ending more final... time to follow new show snow.
ReplyDeleteTTP and HIMYM. Never saw any of them. I watched a few eps of the good Wife. Again, couldn't get into it. I Netflixed revenge's first season and was instantly hooked. Yes, it is soapy at times, especially parts of the third season, but there are moments of brilliant writing and clever twists.

ReplyDeleteThis one is hard because I don't really watch any of these shows. I voted for HIMYM simply because TTP ticked me off when it went to 2, count them 2, tropes I hate most - the most super special person ever whom everyone has to keep telling me is super special and a freaking love triangle. Urgh. It could have been so good. I was on Team Stop Screwing Me Over, CW. Also the random reruns I watched of HIMYM made me laugh, so there's that. The second was more straight forward. I've only seen 2 episodes of The Good Wife while I think I saw all of season 1 and one episode of season 2 of Revenge.

Revenge vs. The Good Wife is probably the hardest for me, but I'm going to have to go with Revenge.

Just The Good Wife for me. The show has consistently been excellent since the first season while Revenge has had its ups and downs during its run.

ReplyDeleteI think I'll abstain from the HIMYM/TTP poll. It's petty, I'm aware, but I still really hate that finale. As much as I love everything that came before, that was still just terrible. I don't want to to vote for TTP instead, though, so I think I'll just leave it for this round.
ReplyDeleteI love first season Revenge, but not so much later stuff, while The Good Wife is fantastic but I sort of missed the boat and never became a regular viewer, even though I constantly hope to change that (it will make my Binge Watch list someday, I just know it). So I'll hold off on this one, too, as I don't feel committed enough to either, though I like both fine.
Which is a very long way of saying, no voting today for me, thanks.

ReplyDeleteHIMYM (never watched The tomorrow peopke) and Revenge (only becaude I´ve only seen 2 or 3 episodes from The good wife).
ReplyDeleteI liked but didn't love TTP. I wasn't that wrecked over its cancellation (its cancellation WHILE BATB GOT RENEWED, on the other hand...). So I didn't vote in the first one. (Never watched HIMYM).
ReplyDeleteSecond one: Revenge. Never watched TGW, although I do hear it's a good show. It's funny by the way because these two shows went head-to-head in the Sunday 9pm slot in the first half of last season. (The season before that as well? I can't remember).
The Tomorrow People and Revenge by default. I'll watch The Good Wife once it's over.

ReplyDeleteSorry. When revisiting the show I realized that I saw the pilot when it came out and I watched one episode for Last Week in TV, but haven't posted about it yet. I'm getting ready to restart the column this week so expect it in 3 weeks.
