We've reached the halfway point of the first round, and we've had some surprising results so far. It's been some good fun in these first eight days, so let's continue that today and throughout the rest of the competition.
Yesterday saw SpoilerTV favourite LOST triumph over Hawaii Five-0, while Dexter knocked out Defiance (apparently people's issues with both of those shows' series finales didn't prevent either from getting votes).
Today sees three-time winner Supernatural take on another CW show - Nikita. We then move on and see Smallville face Stargate SG-1.

ReplyDeleteI really like all four shows but i went with Supernatural and Smallville.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Nikita yet, it's on my "Need To Watch" list. I started SPN a few months ago, and i've 1 to go for season 3. Then onto season 4.
ReplyDeleteI like both Smallville and Stargate: SG1 about the same. The later season for both series, were lacking. But i enjoyed the late seasons for SG1 more.
smallville vs sg1? ouch. tough choice. but i went with SG1. ironically ive been binge-watching the show for the past few days.
ReplyDeleteSmallville and Stargate will be a close one. I know that for a fact. I liked Universe, but the original I couldn't get into, know it's popular though. Smallville and SPN for me today.

ReplyDeleteEasy for me today, Supernatural (not so much after season 5, but overall, still a favorite) and Stargate, one of my favorites sci-fi shows ever.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural, of course! Never watched SG-1 or Smallville, but I did watch and miss Stargate Universe, so in memory of that spin-off, SG-1 it is.

ReplyDeleteI went for stargate-sg-1(though i do like smallville), as i can't really vote the other two. Given i was never much of a fan of nikita though i occasionally watch on netflix, and given how bad supernatural has become i can't legitimately vote for it.

ReplyDeleteI've never watched Stargate and never got really into Nikita.I watched it on and off and it was fun but I never followed it closely.
Nikita is one of the best shows ever.

ReplyDeleteEasy peasy....Supernatural (prefer La Femme Nikita to the CW's Nikita) and Stargate SG1 is my favorite series ever.

ReplyDeleteStargate SG1! I also liked Smallville once but SG1 was one of my favorite TV shows when I was living with my parents and I watched it with my brother, so it really is connected to some good family memories! I still have to watch it from time to time, just for fun :)
ReplyDeleteMy poor Nikita. Sighs. SPN became unwatchable to me at some point in S5, which is why I quit afterwards.
ReplyDeleteSo unfair that Nikita had to face a giant like SPN in the first round. Then again, we got Arrow vs. AoS right off the bat as well (with AoS pulling off an impressive upset).
ReplyDeleteI really did like what I've seen of Supernatural so far (the first couple of seasons) but I adored Nikita. When it was good, it was crazy good. Nikita easily gets my vote here.

ReplyDeleteFirst one ist tough. I was obsessed with Supernatural, till S4. I kept watching till S8. The Leviathans and no character development let me drop it. I just started watching S9m my opinion has not changed, but if felt so familiar. Still went with Nikita, totaly underestimated and we need mor action shows, Arrow and Strike Back are not enough.

ReplyDeleteSTARGATE!!!!! Letdown to see it losing. I'm not bashing Smallville but I tried watching it and I've no idea how it lasted so long...I thought it was just terrible :P Then again i'm not a fan of Superman in general.
ReplyDeleteNikita, it was overall pretty good through its whole run, while SPN jumped the shark for me in S6, even though it was my favorite show until S5.
ReplyDeleteSmallville over Stargate; even though S7 through 10 of Smallville weren't that good I remember the show quite fondly, and I had a blast watching it, and I simply didn't watched Stargate xD
I'm really mad that AoS won, and that's not because AoS is bad (it's fine), but because I find Arrow way more mature and way more compelling
ReplyDeleteIMO you are in the best seasons of SPN, with season 5 being the very best. So flavour it while you can, because once you get into season 6...
ReplyDeleteAs for Nikita, it's a great show over its whole run, not the best I've seen, but highly entertaining and quite great when its up to the task. I'd grade the whole series a B+

ReplyDeleteAs soon as AoS came out first and I saw it was facing Arrow (I drew the seeded shows first), I knew the entire draw was gonna be tough. Makes for an entertaining contest though.

ReplyDeleteSPN & Smallville!! Love both shows. I admit both shows had a few rough patches, but what show hasn't. SPN is still one of my favorites. I'm a huge Jensen/Dean fan so I will ride it out till the end!
