ReplyDeleteDoctor Who and The X-Files.
ReplyDeleteDoctor Who and Teen Wolf :)
ReplyDeleteThis was surprisingly easy for a change.
Doctor Who was an easy vote for me even though i liked Dominion. I also voted for The X-Files but mostly for some of the individual episodes that have made an impact to me, because as a whole i didn't like the show that much...
ReplyDeleteThe X-Files any day over Tenn Wolf!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth!
ReplyDeleteDr Who, hands down.
ReplyDeleteNo votes today.
ReplyDeletee
No votes today even though I did watch the occasional X-files episode back in the day.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, what is Dominion about? Is it worth my time? Has it even been renewed?
My votes are not being counted. I voted 5 times and the numbers only went up by 2.
ReplyDeleteDominion and The X Files. I'm sorry Teen Wolf, I love you, but the x files is the x files...
ReplyDeleteNothing for me today...from these 4, I only watched a few X-Files episodes here and then, not enough to vote.
ReplyDeletePlease support Dominion! We are trying to get renewal and could use the extra votes if you don't feel invested either way!
ReplyDeleteTeen Wolf for sure!!
ReplyDeletenone don't watch any of these shows
ReplyDeleteI like all of these shows again, which makes it so hard. Therefore I give my votes to the ones I don't think will win - Doctor Who and Teen Wolf. Dominion hasn't been on long enough compared to Doctor Who and I still haven't forgiven Chris Carter for not knowing where his story was going. The Truth is Out There, my foot. He was the very first showrunner I was disappointed by. Sadly he wasn't the last. I did struggle with the last poll though because Teen Wolf had a truly crummy season this time. If the contest had been held after 3B, I would not have hesitated to vote for it. Here's hoping season 5 brings Teen Wolf back to its glory days.
ReplyDeleteYou should check it out. Just leave when Mulder does. You'll thank me for it.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about the X-Files. The more time passes, the more I like the standalone episodes better. I think it's because the overall mythology never got any resolution.
ReplyDeleteYou can only vote once in this contest. No repeat voting.
ReplyDeleteI´m sorry, but I don´t even know what Dominion is, so I can´t get myself to vote for it:(
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I´m sure my vote would make no difference in its renewal...but I hope the fans get what they want:)
How is Doctor Who losing to such a crappy show?!?!
ReplyDeleteThe good Doctor and Teen Wolf for me today.
ReplyDeleteDW was an easy pick - some of my earliest TV show memories are of The Doctor's adventures. Dominion just can't compare to that kind of history. Second one was a bit more difficult. I've only seen the first five seasons of X-Files and those were watched a few years ago (many have told me to just stop there so I have conveniently found other things to watch instead). I liked the show but it didn't WOW me the way Teen Wolf did when I found that show. So, despite a lackluster S4 from Teen Wolf, it got my vote due to the initial zing and S5 optimism.
Dominion and Teen Wolf.
ReplyDeleteDominion is based on the movie Legion, set 25 years after the events in the movie.
ReplyDeleteIt takes place post war between angels and humans. The Archangel Michael is on humanity's side and trains Alex, a young man, the "Chosen One" to save humanity. It is also about people living in Vega, once Las Vegas.
It's much better than the movie, in my opinion and great quality CGI. It's not flawless, but I love it. It gets more and more interesting as it goes and kept surprising me with reveals.
It hasn't been renewed yet. Neither has Defiance, which aired before it on Syfy this summer.
Easy day for me... Doctor Who and Teen Wolf (had to go for the underdog with Teen Wolf)
ReplyDeleteowned
ReplyDeleteHave not seen X-Files but must vote Teen Wolf !!
ReplyDeleteI only watched X-files from this group so that's where my vote will go
ReplyDeleteAlthough I liked X Files, I voted for Teen Wolf. I just love them. They are great.
ReplyDeleteOh, why you put Teen Wolf with X-Files :( Both are great :D
ReplyDeleteDoctor Who (Dominion i like you, but you still new show) and X-Files (even when i still not finished to watch all season, still have to watch second half of 8 season and 9 season).
ReplyDeleteThe X-Files.. Any time, Any Day. Still a classic.
ReplyDeleteDoctor Who!
ReplyDeleteDominion & Teen Wolf
ReplyDeleteI voted for Teen Wolf, no contest. I don't really care about the other shows.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the detailed explanation. Maybe I will give it a try next summer if it's renewed, I like the premise!
ReplyDeleteDoctor Who and X-Files... i gave up on Dominion very soon and never watched X-Files
ReplyDeleteThe X-Files. No question :)
ReplyDeletePoor Teen Wolf, I really thought they had it in the back. Perhaps it's linked to the disappointment at the end of last season.
ReplyDeletePuh, this time not that heartbeating like yesterday.
ReplyDeleteDoctor Who as the only show I watch as pick.
No need for rudeness. She just didn't know.
ReplyDeleteDoctor Who is not for everyone and neither is Dominion. I prefer Dominion because I got into it more. Watched Doctor Who and felt it was too campy for my tastes.
ReplyDeleteI didn't like Season 4 of Teen Wolf as much, but I didn't think it was that bad. But I also didn't hate Liam. I don't particularly like him either though. To me he's basically just there. lol Never been so indifferent over a character. Though I'd rather not spend time on his character.
ReplyDeleteIf my fears that Liam is going to be the replacement for Stiles when Dylan O'Brien decides to go lighter on Teen Wolf or leave altogether is right, I will hate Liam even more than I did in the beginning. I dislike Liam for much the same reason as I hated the idea of a true alpha. He's a shortcut and heading towards Gary Stu status. If one more person tells me how super special Liam is or they keep inferring that he's a super special werewolf worth upteenth million dollars when he's been a werewolf for a little over a month now, I may break my TV from all the socks I throw. They might as well call him the one true beta. It annoys me to no end that Jeff Davis is pushing this new kid on us so hard and shafting characters we've had since the pilot again.
ReplyDeleteKate must die. She did drop to #3 on the to-kill list though. Gerard is always and forever #1. He annoys me more than all the other characters combined. Liam is second after the last 2 episodes. Kate is third with Deucalion at #4. Peter is way down on my list because I really want him to the Big Bad on Tyler Posey's final season. It started with them and it shoudl end with them. Once it becomes the Liam and Mason show, I will be out so when Scott or Stiles leaves it will be the final season for me.
Seriously, I know many people who would use the same word to describe Doctor Who. I voted for DW but that doesn't mean it isn't flawed. How about instead insulting others for liking a show next time, you stick with why you voted for DW. It will make the whole tone of the contest more appealing and add to the conversation instead of detract from it.
ReplyDeleteI am also very optimistic about Teen Wolf in season 5. Jeff Davis is getting a nice long break to devise a plot line that will bring TW back up to its former glory.
ReplyDeleteUhhh....not once did I insult anybody in the comment I made. All I said was my opinion on the show which I think is very crappy.
ReplyDeleteIf you like the show that's fine, people are entitled to there opinions, I was just shocked that DW was losing.
Agreed! I still haven't seen the finale (curse you MTV streaming player!!) but I know what they are capable of and unlike Supernatural's downward spiral, I think TW S4 was just a blip on the overly tired writers radar.
ReplyDeleteThere's talk of Scott and Stiles leaving? What? That's like Sam and Dean not being the main characters on Supernatural, Finch and Reese on Person of Interest, Michael and Alex on Dominion, etc. Show cannot go on without them!
ReplyDeleteIt just came off that way the way you stated it, like the show was unworthy of votes when as you said, it's just an opinion.
ReplyDeleteNobody likes hearing someone called their show crappy. Makes them feel like you think your tastes are better than theres.
I'm as big of a fan as you, but asking for votes from non-fans is not going to work. Not the way to go about it.
ReplyDeleteNope. nothing official. It's just that the way they are dealing with Stiles and Liam feels like step and lock with what happened with Allison and Kira.
ReplyDeleteAllison was different. After she got into hunter mode I was less into her and Scott together.
ReplyDeleteStiles has always been Scott's best friend. I would hope the writers know that killing/removing Stiles from the show would kill it. Personally, Scott, Stiles, and Derek are untouchable for me.
The writers never wanted Allison to go either. That was the actress' decision. My guess is that with all the opportunities Dylan O'Brien and Tyler Posey have right now and the fact that they are rapidly outaging the characters, they will eventually want to leave as well.
ReplyDeleteMy worries are that as soon as they knew Crystal Reed wanted to leave they started giving Allison less to do and restricted her interactions to a few characters for the most part. It was odd to me because most shows that know a main character is leaving pump up their part so the death will be more poignant. That's why in 3B I thought Derek was going to die since all of a sudden he was everyonje's friend and wise mentor while having character interactions with almost everyone. Teen Wolf tried to minimize Allison and replaced her with kira before she was even gone. Allison was mostly limited to interactions with her dad and boyfriend Isaac.
This season there was very little Stiles and Scott interaction, far less than ANY other season. It was the most bizarre thing of all. Most of what would be Stiles and Scott time was in turn replaced by Scott and Liam scenes. The majority of Stiles' interactions were limited to his dad and balancing Stalia and Stydia shipping. It felt like they were doing whatever they could to lessen the foundation of Scott and Stiles, without having a big fight so kudos there, while promoting a Scott and Liam one. For me that is worrisome because it is the exact approach they used with Allison. Not that I think they will kill off Stiles of course, because they won't. Still they have a way of disappearing people on Teen Wolf or just plain crowding them out with the huge cast.
If they lose Tyler or Dylan they should end the show, not continue. Announce a final season. This isn't CSI. It's a serial supernatural show. And with 5 seasons, if they had to end, it wouldn't have been a short run. I'd be satisfied.
ReplyDeleteMy sentiments exactly. My thought is that if they want to continue it then create a new spin-off with Mason and Liam if they must, but finish Teen Wolf as a complete story. I won't be watching a Liam-based story so I want everything wrapped up.
