woah...why the hell does this promo indicate that Klaus is saying "I swear to it was our mother" to Hayley? The UK is getting some overly incesteous tones here
also: ugh too much Hayley.
And for the first time ever: woah, a promo not featuring Marcel o.O
There's going to be an epic fight in a bar. I can't wait to see Mikael and Klaus have their confrontation. Getting rid of Mikael won't be as easy as bringing an army of vampires around and having them hold him down. The fact that he's been living on witch blood probably has something to do with that.
What Davina does with Mikael is supposed to be "interesting," but I think that if Davina doesn't turn on Mikael he'll definitely turn on her. I'm still pretty sure that the white oak stake has one use left in it at the most. That stake's mythology has it connected to the "spirit world" through the melted-down Gilbert ring. With the "spirit world" gone, the stake shouldn't work, or it would self-destruct after one use just like any other white oak stake. Someone can use the stake to kill Mikael, and then there won't be anymore weapons to kill the Originals. The bloodline spell would be irrelevant.
Blah, blah, Hayley gets revenge. I find her character more acceptable now because she's not being treated like a princess anymore after what she did on TVD, but her story is a little too boring and predictable. The writers should throw a wrench in the works, some kind of plot twist that won't make it seem like Hayley is stuck in a triangle with Klaus and Elijah, whining about being a hybrid and attacking random people over a baby she gave up and she knows is perfectly safe. People have chosen to die in transition over less than the idea of drinking their own child's blood. The baby needs to stay far away from Hayley. The writers need to resolve this.
LOL! Good to know I'm not the only one tired of Marcel. I reached my limit with Davina a long time ago, too. I think the cut to Hayley's face was just her reaction when she finds out that Esther is alive and walking around in a child's body. I'm sure a lot of people will have the same look on their faces when they hear about it. The whole thing is insane, but I think it means that Esther isn't quite as powerful as she was. Klaus said that witches are only as powerful as their dead, meaning their spirits. When Esther was still in Limbo, she gave that coven an advantage, but now she's in the body of a teenage girl and her power could be limited. She knows a lot of spells, but that doesn't mean that she can still reverse the immortality spell or anything like that. She's still tied to the coven and she might only be in someone else's body because she failed to get Hope sacrificed in order to resurrect herself. It might have taken a lot of power to exchange for Esther, but that's a lost cause, so Esther has to be in someone else's body. If I'm right about this, it's actually a little bit funny. Klaus and Elijah's mother, who used to be the most powerful witch on the planet, is now a teenage girl.
They'll treat Hayley the same as they did Elena. Even when Elena was out killing people they acted like it was a cry for help and not that Elena had turned into a murderous vampire. They'll do the same with Hayley - Hayley has never been some innocent victim (she came on to TVD as a villain who was perfectly willing to sacrifice her friends for info about where he dead parents were buried) but they have Elijah treat her like she is because they want the viewers to see her that way.
I'm not worried about Hayley being like Elena. It looks like Hayley will be sort of an exaggeration of what Elena was like in Season 4, but then Hayley will go her own way because even in Season 1 of TO, Hayley was a lot more selfish than Elena and the two characters care about different things. Elena is more like Elijah in that she refuses to give up on someone she loves no matter how much abuse and toxicity she has to take, and Elena wouldn't put herself and certainly not her unborn child in any kind of danger. Elena would have left Genevieve alone and gone with Elijah for the sake of the baby if for no other reason. Hayley's ultimate goal is power for herself and the Crescent clan, not to mention that she wants to be tough and doesn't bother to think about the consequences, so of course she wanted to watch Genevieve like a hawk whether or not she suspected Genevieve of manipulation. The harder Elijah works to save Hayley, the more he's like Elena standing by Damon and ignoring all reasons to get out of the relationship. The problem isn't Hayley being a copy of Elena so much as Haylijah being a repeat of Delena. It's just something to put up with until the writers get tired of it and move on. Whatever might resemble the TVD love triangle will happen differently and be over very quickly. Klaus and Elijah are too old to fight over a girl, and they'll especially be less inclined to do that after what happened with Tatia.
too much hayley... but maybe lm simply prejudiced cuz l like neither the actress nor the character... klaus and elijah look awesome though can't wait !!!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteJudging from the comic con promo, it's either a cut to Hayley in a different scene or she's in the scene with Elijah (because he's there).
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly a cut, still it comes off as kind of weird if you never watched the show.
ReplyDeleteThe music is badass though
Yeah it is weird. The music is great.

ReplyDeleteHayley's probably in the scene with Klaus/Elijah so she'll be in the loop.

ReplyDeleteI want to see Caroline in The Original. Klaroline up!!! With those 2 in the same show, the original will be one of the best tv show. For now, is not bad. Just a little tired of TVD topics!!! People dying and coming back to life, killing just for revenge, breaking up and coming back together, ect... It seems original at the beginning, but now...really hope it wont become a cliché or anything like TVD!
