I think Klaus is pretty interesting and I think Tyler could have been really interesting had they actually developed him properly. I think they just really need werewolf characters that the audience cares about.
I don't consider hybrids to be werewolves (they spend most of the time purposely avoiding their werewolf side, with only a venomous bite to differentiate them) and (to me) the werewolf aspect of Tyler was interesting for only a handful of episodes in TVD's second season until Jules showed up. It was all downhill from there.
As for Francesca, she had moderate potential as an organized criminal and a human representative on The Originals but I don't buy into her werewolf stuff at all. The Klaus blood-induced "werewolf powers all the time" rings got a big eye-roll from me. Fundamentally changing what a werewolf is isn't an effective way of making them interesting, in my opinion.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Klaus & Marcel teaming up!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait!
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming Klaus thinks the wolves have the white oak stake and that's why he doesn't want to take them on.
ReplyDeleteThe Originals, like The Vampire Diaries before them, have failed to make werewolves interesting. The sooner the slaughter happens the better.
