    Ok, so I'll be singing a different tune than most people here ;) but I do feel for Hayley and I'm quite on board with her SL. It will be interesting though, I really hope the writers will be a little more nuanced than this. Anyway, it's too hard to judge for me at this point as this is so short I'll just wait and see how they'll handle her post-martum depression here which is a tricky one if you think about it. Sure she'll be on a killing spree mode and whatnot (I even noted a tiny hint of arrogance here) but I'd like them to explore her grief in a deeper and more complex way. In short, I don't want an off-humanity Elena replica, even though I liked off-humanity Elena but that's a different story.
    That said, this clip confirms I'm not shipping her with Elijah or anyone else in the show, to be honest. I'm actually glad this clip shows some tension between the two, especially if that means they'll put an end to Haylijah (which I doubt) because as much as I like both characters I just want the writers to focus more on giving them seperate storylines.
    P.S : Am I the only one who kinda laughed when she said Hybrids were invincible. I mean no offense, but it sure says something about this new species' enhanced abilities to survive that Tyler was the last of his kind before her :)!

    she didn´t loose it she chose to stay in Nola for some misguided revenge plot and her baby daddys brother and the baby is alive and kicking with auntie bex. They simply must not be aware of the fact that you can raise a child outside nola and literally all of season plot revolving the child can be resolved by them moving

    yeah she can be killed unless julie has changed the mythologic again and she´s also an original hybrid somehow i dont know maybe magic, but a stake to the heart will do just fine.

    Well except as pointed out if they did leave they could never really raise her she'd always be in danger from witches or vampires. That and the plot demands they stay in New Orleans.

    oh i know the plot calls for that but its so short sighted and stupid to me... and what they win the "war" and live happily ever after with hope and never leave nola again i mean there are witches and vampires everywhere, just why do a freaking baby plot in the first place they ruin everything and especially in a supernatural shows and now they have literally planned a whole season again revolving the baby plot

    i don't want to hate on elijah but it's not really his place to clean out baby hope's nursery, it'll remind klaus and hayley of what they're fighting for and if anyone should clean it out it should be klaus or hayley

    Really it was just a way to involve Hayley and to help humanize Klaus. The second reason is why I'm okay with it. That and I want to see what the child can do.

    The NOLA witches have no power outside of NOLA though - they're tied to the land. Sophie explained this way back at the start of Season 1.

    That's an interesting point you raise here. Did her daughter's magic blood change Hayley's hybrid status change her into something more powerful? I don't know and I guess I agree with you here : as much as I love the show, even I have to admit the writers love to retcon some of their SLs and characters too much and not exactly in the most subtle or logical ways!
    Still, call me crazy but I do want to see what Hope's powers look like in the future.

    Going back to Hayley, if she's still a "regular" hybrid just like Tyler was, you're right she could be very easily killed. I'm sure not a stake would do though as I think it wasn't enough on TVD if I remember correctly? But beheadings or heart-pullings would do the job just fine lol!

    I'm pretty sure the show will pull an Angel move someday. Plus, I agree a grown up Hope would be interesting to explore mythology-wise. Plus seeing the father-daughter dynamics would be great for Klaus's character... and hilarious.

    I do not think that the blood of the Original child creates Original hybrids. Otherwise, each hybrid created by Hope will be the The Original, and that looks very ridiculous eve for Julie. Moreover, if we follow this idea further, every vampire created by the Originals should be The Original, and this is just ridiculous too

    I hope I'm right because doing Haley also The Original hybrid is too much even for Julie. Audience can not tolerate her that much even now and i am afraid to imagine what will be then) A child is special for sure, but I do not want this feature to be too advanced. The Original is in itself a specialty. I do not want the girl to be some kind or God.)

    Funny, you have said this before and you always get the same response, but I will give it another go: no, she couldn't, the only way the baby could live is for everyone had to believe she was killed. If Hayley left after Hopes death than the witches would suspect that the baby wasn't murdered as there is no way Hayley would leave her baby. By staying and grieving she has convinced the witches that Hope is indeed really dead.

    I get your Hayley hate, well actually I don't she isn't my favorite but she isn't as horrible as some of the people on this site.

    What do you have against the whole baby plot, she is gone, she gives them a reason to fight and take back their town and it is not like we are having episode after episode of Klaus and Hayley moving on, evolving and killing the witches...what is there to complain about.

    a thousand year old vampire conceives a magic baby is my problem with the baby plot in this show and every other supernatural show it dosen´t work for me and i´m allowed to have that opinion i´m i not? The entire basis of season 2 is them getting "revenge" for hope so yes everything still revolves around the baby plot. And whats killing all withces in Nola gonna change there will still be witches in Chicago in New York etc unless Julie has again changes the mythologic of her shows and now only witches live in Nola.

    yeah thats my biggest problem i dont want to humanize Klaus at all i loved that he was a villian this new version of him just isn´t working for me the tears the constant pity parties etc. Guess we are just not gonna agree on anything TO related ;)

    excuse me, but what is she still doing on this show? Klaus almost killed her in 1x02 and 1x01 and it can't be because of Elijah because he never cared for Elijah's feelings towards Katherine either. she could have left with the baby or even better, she could have stay dead. besides, she is no longer a werewolf princess messiah because of her hybrid status now and it's canon - at least it was unless JP retconned mythology YET AGAIN - that werewolves hate hybrids and vamps.
    Normally Klaus wouldn't care for Hayley because now that the baby is out of her she's just a liability. He either should kill her or compell her to forget everything, including her pregnancy and set her free.

    actually people loved the originals (Klaus,Elijah,Rebekah,Kol,Finn,Esther,Mikael,Henrik) on TVD but everything changed, including the characterisations of Klaus Elijah and Rebekah because of the baby plot and more importantly because of Hayley and the need to put her in the show and qualify her as a member of the Mikaelson family...yet still nobody cares neither for her nor for the baby and it's constantly bringing the show down.
    no coincidence that the only real buzz the show gets is because of the crossovers...

    why is she even on the show? i mean she is such a terrible mother for not going w her baby. it is understandable for her not wanting to stay in the town where her baby was "killed". besides she lost her werewolf status so she's has no reason to stay unless if it's for Elijah... but based on this clip it's unlikely.
    i also find it hard to believe that the baby is safer with Rebekah since she is like a supernatural celebrity. she is an original vampire and people would find it suspicious if she was walking around w a baby right after whas happened in Nola

    i know i just got so upset after reading all the comments because i agree with most of them. she has no place on this show, she never had. she got the role without auditioning because of KevinW and the only logical reason why she is still on the show after continuously failing as a character is that she has made a pretty good acquaintanceship

    Phoebe Tonkin isn't that bad of an actresses. Be thankful that there isn't an even worse actresses playing Hayley. This show is awesome & better than TVD. I do agree w. another commenter, that Elijah shouldn't be the one to clean out the nursery.
