Supernatural - 7 years of angelic assistance - A tribute to Misha Collins
Sep 7, 2014
Supernatural VKYou might or might not have heard of the little show that could. Supernatural is reaching a milestone with season 10 airing this fall, potentially surpassing the number next year. Not many genre shows last this long. The SPNfamily is obsessively dedicated to the show about "two underwear models chasing demons", but I would like to draw more attention to the third underwear model.
Misha Collins is a phenomenon. Certainly of the physical kind, but even more so for his contribution as an actor, friend and social media mogul.

The character
Not only is he the only cast member who started out as guest star and became part of the show for so long, but his character is also the only one who made a lasting impact on the Winchesters for years, following their journey and eventually embarking on his own.
Castiel is often called the third Winchester for a reason; not for what he brings to the show's main dynamic, but also for his personality, his achievements and even his failures. Many people can relate to that.
For a show that usually avoids ensemble structures, it is quite impressive to see a character with such a dedicated fan following bringing so much to a show that isn't centered around him. It isn't unusual to see Castiel even beating the leads in fan favorite polls. It speaks for the character and the actor who has given him life.
Out of 200 episodes, his character showed up in roughly a third of them and he was a constant presence on the show since the 4th season (with season 7 being a notable exception).
To me, a show dealing with two brothers would have been less magical if their third brother wasn't part of it. I fondly remember watching season 4 and asking myself "who is this dude with the gravelly voice and personal space issues?"
The Actor
Which brings us to the man who's usually not smiting demons (or maybe he does, we don't know).
Misha's charity work as co-founder of Random Acts inspires people to do acts of kindness all around the world, breaking world records with GISHWHES, handing out coffee for people waiting in line at Comic Con and fundraising the project Hope 2 Haiti. His social media shenanigans are well-documented and many people, including William Shatner have fallen prey to his charm.
Behind the camera, he's just as dedicated and hopefully we'll see more of his directing work in the future.
I'd like to thank Misha Collins for his amazing work on the show, for inspiring and helping people and generally making his fans happy. And for making me laugh hysterically whenever he feels like blowing up twitter.
When Supernatural comes to an end, we'll hopefully see more of Collins on screen. Not necessarily in his mother's basement for season 44, though.
I'd say Marvel needs an angel, don't they?
Season 10 of "Supernatural" will premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 9 p.m on the CW.

Couldn't agree more with last sentence - I think Marvel definitely needs someone like Misha! ;)
ReplyDeleteAmen!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is such an amazing article. Great introduction of who he is for people who might not have heard of him and great summary of why those of us who love him so much feel the way that we do. Great piece!
ReplyDeleteYES A million times yes!
ReplyDeleteMisha is so versatile he could play any spectrum of marvel character. I really would love to see someone use his talents to their full ability.
ReplyDelete:) Nice article.
ReplyDeleteThank you for acknowledging Misha and Castiel with this nice tribute. Misha couldn't deserve it more. He's like a gift that keeps on giving, in every sense.
ReplyDeleteI don't feel comfortable using the word "celebrity", but I can't come up with a better word right now, so I'm just going to say that he's definitely one of my favorite celebrities. He's a great actor, and I hope he gets the roles he deserves when SPN ends.
ReplyDeleteOh, that would be awesome if Misha Collins could be Marvel Man! (I mean, he's already marvelous, so it's not too much of a leap.
ReplyDeleteThanks Veronika. Love misha. Really hope he gets a lead in his own show soon. He really deserves it.
ReplyDeleteTrue :)
ReplyDeletethanks :)
ReplyDeleteMisha deserves so much more than Supernatural gives him. I can't wait to see what he does after the show over!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see an article acknowledging Misha. He is an amazing man and he totally deserves this spotlight.
ReplyDeleteI really love Misha, I really love how much he does for people and how caring, loving and funny he is. He and his wife Vicki have really helped me change to become a better person and to push on with life. I'm so greatful to have him in my life even if I'm not in his! <3
ReplyDeleteI'd only be okay with that after SPN is done - I can't imagine the show without Misha AND Cas! Once it's over, then yes, totally agreed.
ReplyDeleteThank you for much for this article. Misha deserves all the love and support he gets, because he is truly a kind, funny, charitable, talented man who brings so much to the Supernatural family. Like Kripke himself said, he really is lightning in a bottle. Can't imagine the show without him!
ReplyDeleteAwww what a lovely article about one of my favorite men in the world. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteNice article. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteSure the show overdid with angle civil conflicts these last few seasons (and bored us to death!), but introducing Castiel was the best change/addition to the show. Without him I'm sure SPN would have been a 5-season show. Having in mind that he was intended to last for just 3 episodes and Misha's charisma saved the character, shows how truly awesome Misha is. ;)
Not all of us were bored with the angels but yes Castiel was the best addition to the show. I sometimes hope that Misha is there till the end even though I want better things for him.
ReplyDeletewhat a nice article. he is literally a ray of sunshine. glad to see him being acknowledged!
ReplyDeleteReally? So Misha/Castiel is a reason of SPN longevity? Not the Js who've carried the show through ups and downs? Castiel is good supporting character so was Bobby, but show kept going without Bobby so it would (pretty sure) without Cas. I have no problem with Castiel as a character ( he was much more interesting few seasons ago), but making this kind of statements seems a little unfair to Js
ReplyDeleteTotally agreed Shinjini!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't agree more with you. Misha deserves all the love of the world and of course Supernatural wouldn't be the same without him.
ReplyDeleteLOL! No, maybe I should paraphrase, I believe introducing angles gave the show the potential to go for another 5 years, despite what many fans are saying against angels. Sure they screwed up pretty bad, especially last season, with angel plots (messy, not thought through, separated, illogical,... ), IMHO, but we can't decline their contribution to the show.
ReplyDeleteYes, he is indeed a reason for the longevity. Jeremy Carver said in the SDCC TV Guide with Supernatural on the cover (direct quote): "Beyond the [appeal of the Winchester boys and their chemistry], he's the biggest reason that this show has lasted."
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree. He is a huge part of the SPN family and I can't imagine the show without him - luckily, Jim Michaels said the same thing at VegasCon this year.
I love Misha and Castiel!
ReplyDeleteJoin the crowd! :D
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely !!
ReplyDeleteI love that the showrunners and cast always have such nice things to say about Misha, too. Kripke said: “[Misha] just came in for the audition
ReplyDeletefor the angel and was so complicated, and brought this innocence to the
role, and all of this different dimension. We just knew he was lightning in a bottle.”
Jeremy Carver said in the SDCC TV Guide with Supernatural on the cover
(direct quote): "Beyond the [appeal of the Winchester boys and their
chemistry], he's the biggest reason that this show has lasted."
And Jim Michaels said at VegasCon "I can't imagine the show without him."
Jensen at JIB 2014 re: pranking Misha: "It's because we like him so much. Do NOT tell him I said that."
Love seeing Misha get the praise and love that he deserves! He truly is a gem and I'm so glad he's part of the SPN Family.
Love Misha - not just for his work on Supernatural but his charity work as well. Really inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI feel like Misha is one of those guys whose like, everybody's bro.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for writing this!! The world needs more Misha. Love everything you wrote!!
ReplyDeleteYES! Marvel needs a ANGEL! Misha Collins is a ANGEL!
ReplyDeleteThis article is soooooooo well written. This article puts together WHY Castiel is as important as the only-two main stars of Supernatural.
I legitimately believe that if not for Castiel and the angel storyline, This show might not have seen its 200th episode. They said 200th episode is going to be a love letter to the fans, but they are doubts or maybe it is true, that Castiel is not even in that episode. If that is true, i give up on the show creators.
I loved reading this article btw. thank you.
Yeah but Dean and Sam stopped being interesting in season 2. The show prevailed because they constantly brought in new elements to the show. Castiel is a amazing thing that happened to the show.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this article - I couldn't agree with it more! He's what got me interested in Supernatural in the first place, and I honestly thought he brought a much needed breath of fresh air when he joined way back in S4. He's such a sweet, inspirational man, and I really couldn't imagine the show without him. I hope we continue to see him on our screens, long after SPN has ended.
ReplyDeleteMisha is not only one of the best additions to the show, his charity work outside of the show has inspired so many of his fans including me. It wouldn't be SPN with Misha / Cas.
ReplyDeleteMisha Collins is one of those people where I think I am actually in love with.
ReplyDeleteI actually love the angel stuff. But even if they stopped that storyline, Cas could still easily be on the show. We know he'd choose the Winchesters over the angels any day! :)
ReplyDeleteHe deserves all the love, he is a brilliant actor and the show wouldn't be where it is now without him! He became an essential part of it, and SPN just wouldn't be the same without Misha. I swear I'm never going to understand the people who hate on him... He is as much of a part of Supernatural as Jared, Jensen and Mark. Misha Collins is our overlord tbh. ALL THE LOVE !! x
ReplyDeleteAnd Cas stopped being interesting after season 5. They unfortunately don't know what do with character any more and I feel like they keep him around for fan service. And obviously Cas cant exist outside Winchesters otherwise they would spin him off into separate show long time go (considering the fact Misha was able to build a strong fandom around himself, I'll give him credit for that).
ReplyDeleteSorry ratings of S7 was because of sorry storyline and because of Fridays. Presence of Cas (as has been proved many times during last season, for example) has no effect on episode ratings. Fridays S7 ratings were something current mid-week CW shows would kill for. Not even close to cancelation.
ReplyDeleteAgain, IMHO, nowadays Cas brings nothing to the story. Unfortunately. If he'll departure tomorrow many of us (including myself )wont even notice it.
And let downvotes begin...
Thank you for speaking up, you're 100% correct on everything, and I can relate to that season four bit, haha. Needed this after last night...here's to a 9 movies contract with Marvel!
ReplyDeleteThere was a bump in the ratings from season 3 to season 4, but by season 5 they drop back down to season 3 levels and stayed that way until like you mention season 7. Season 7's ratings could be multiple factors, like fans not connecting with the storyline to the more obvious lack of promotion and the Friday night slot.
ReplyDeleteBut the main thing is, the show up until recently, has always been on the bubble of cancellation. From season 1 to season 4, and the all the post-Kripke years. Castiel's presence, while a great character, really adds nothing to the ratings or the network renewing the show.
Misha, the kindest and most awesome human being ever. Love him! Love this article!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great article :) Castiel was the reason I started watching SPN, and Misha is such a great actor and he does lots of great works in real life and inspires many people to do acts of kindness for others. SPN fandom is so lucky to have him.
ReplyDeleteAnd I really hope to see him in bigger roles and better shows, soon. He deserves much more than just being in 11 eps in a season.
I really hope so too. I'd def watch that show.
ReplyDeleteAmen!
ReplyDeleteIt's not fan service, it's because Misha and Cas are a huge part of the show and the SPN family. Jim Michaels said that he couldn't imagine the show without him, and neither can I.
ReplyDeleteWell of course he would say that, he's not going say "fuck him." The fact remains, the show would have done just fine if Misha left at any point in the previous years.
ReplyDeleteYou, my friend, deserve all the awards. This is really awesome. I really hope Misha sees this because I definitely agree. He's the guest star that was just so good we had to have him stick around we love him that much. Your article made me very happy. :)
ReplyDeleteamazing tribute of misha, he is an awesome guy
ReplyDeleteExcellent article. My take is that the story - MotW week after week - got a whole lot bigger and more interesting when the angels came in. Now it's a story about redemption, choice, free will and responsibility. There's no denying Castiel's presence has made a difference not only in the story, but in ratings. And Misha is the reason that's still happening - he took a short-term story arc and created an indelible character, one that is just starting to come into his own. Team Free Will has so much more potential for interesting stories - can't wait to see what happens with Season 10!
ReplyDeleteI watched Supernatural since the start of Season 2 but Misha/Castiel is a major reason I still watch too after not liking the last couple seasons too much either.
ReplyDeleteI'd just like to point out that this article is a TRIBUTE to Cas/Misha. And while I completely understand that you have all the right to express your opinion, doing it here seems a bit pointless, just saying ;)
ReplyDeleteYou just listed all the reasons I love this man. And I mean love, he sits just below my family on the 'what I love' scale. He is amazing and tireless in his endeavours. He is the ONLY reason I started watching spn and why I still do watch.
ReplyDeleteI really hope that when spn finishes someone snaps him up... Maybe he could be the next Doctor or marvel could give him a character he could stretch his wings
Lovely piece!
ReplyDeleteVery nice article and a welcome one, about Misha and his character, Cas. I started watching the show sporadically from the beginning, but by Season 3 my attention was wandering. Castiel and the angels in Season 4 renewed my interest. Though I have been losing interest in recent seasons, the major reason for that is the focus on the brothers' relationship drama which never seems to end. In any case, I am grateful to the show for introducing me properly to Misha Collins, and now I will always follow his career no matter where he goes. I hope something as marvel-lous as a Marvel gig, does come his way!
ReplyDeleteSeconded. Misha gets an unnecessary amount of shade thrown at him (which I just can't wrap my head around - he's always been kind, funny, and welcoming when I've met him), so can we keep the kvetching to a bare minimum on this article? This is supposed to be a celebration of him, so please. Just don't.
ReplyDeleteSure there are a lot of factors counted in the rating, I don't pretend to know even half of them, but no one for sure can say writing off Cas won't damage the rating. A lot of people here watch the show just for Cas and his interactions with other characters.
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious, they can just go so far with only two characters, soon they'd be out of ideas (so resorting to ridiculous bro conflicts over and over!). Adding interesting characters can broaden the show, widen the interaction, add new plots and attract more audience. Cas has done all these things, his contribution to the show is unquestionable and his absence would be a blow to show, maybe not this episode but in near future.
You said it perfectly, Kay.
ReplyDeletegreat article!, Misha is amazing ♥
ReplyDeletelovely article!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for writing this! Misha and Castiel are amazing, the show wouldn't be the same without him! He's definitely an integral part of Supernatural.
ReplyDeleteThank you for such a lovely write up about my favorite character and actor. Jared and Jensen also deserve much praise for their hard work bringing Sam and Dean alive because without them we would not have Supernatural, but I did not connect closely with either one of their characters. As a result I only watched the show on a casual basis, forgetting for months at a time that it even existed. It wasn't until I got around to watching season 4 on DVD a few years ago and saw Castiel's introduction that I became hooked and a rabid fan of the series. I know I'm far from the only fan for whom Castiel was the hook that dragged us deeply in the world of Supernatural and its fandom too. I've also spoken with a number of fans who were with Supernatural from the beginning, and I've heard a lot of them credit Castiel for keeping them interested enough to stay viewers of the show instead of drifting away due how repetitive the Sam and Dean storylines have become over the years.
ReplyDeleteCastiel is a character who has captured so many people's hearts and imaginations. I don't believe for a moment that Supernatural would be entering its 10th season if he had not be introduced in season 4. Misha Collins is of course a wonderful, kind man and a talented actor. I certainly am excited to see where his career will go after Supernatural. With such a dedicated fan following and social media buzz, he would be a superb addition to new show or movie production.
That they brought Misha back after season 7 proves you're wrong.
ReplyDeleteThe well deserved downvotes. Because you're on a Misha celebration article being a brat. Obviously, you're wrong. Or they wouldn't have brought Misha/Castiel back after season 7. Notice they didn't bring Bobby back. That's really all the proof we need that you're wrong and just whining because for whatever reason that no one here cares about you don't like the character.
ReplyDelete<3
ReplyDeleteHe really is a cool dude :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for writing such a lovely piece about my favorite character on the show! I'd definitely stop watching if his character left and so I hope he sticks around for the rest of the series!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this terrific article. I won't comment anything about the hate here, because this is about how marvelous he is, as an actor and as a human being.
ReplyDeleteEverybody loves Misha and nothing hurts
ReplyDeleteI was captivated from the moment he burst into that barn. Here's to many more seasons of Cas and Misha!
ReplyDeleteNo everybody does not love Misha.
ReplyDeleteThree cheers for Misha :) Castiel brought new life to the show, for sure. I would have stopped watching after season 5 if not for him.
ReplyDeletemaloose you are awesome. You put into words exactly what I feel.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree. They realized their mistake when he was axed in Season 7. People never miss an opportunity to hate on this wonderful man.
ReplyDeleteJust ignore the haters. They are not worth our time. I knew they would show up to this article. They never miss an opportunity to get a dig in.
ReplyDeleteI don't care for him. And I really don't care for his character.
ReplyDeleteHe was only gone for two episodes. Who had time to miss him?
ReplyDeleteHahaha :-)
ReplyDeleteOr that they always planned to bring him back. They decided to take the story in a different direction for season 7, but Gamble has said it was always their intention to bring him back.
ReplyDeleteCan I disagree with you for a sec. You're totally entitled to your opinion I respect that, but I personally think that he was the most interesting part of season 8. Sam's whole thing with Amelia was boring, and while Dean and Benny were interesting, I was more invested in Cas' story of fighting against Heaven's power and against Naomi. I think his character continues to have potential, but unfortunately the writers tend to push him off to the sides. Season 8 showed Cas with the Winchesters, in episodes like Hunteri Heroici, where he was actually part of the gang and not just some sideline character. Those were the episodes I thought were best. I loved seeing Cas' struggle because it gave him more character. Season 9 was awful for Castiel (in more ways than one) but I think that if the writers pull their heads out of their ass and focus on his character more, Cas can once again be a very interesting and important character to the story.
ReplyDeleteThen why waste the time and energy coming to be rude on a post celebrating him? Obviously most people do not share your opinions, and if they do, they shouldn't be here. Gah, what is it with this fandom sometimes? Misha is a kind, funny, charitable man and a huge part of SPN. Stop being hateful.
ReplyDeleteI loved SPN from the pilot, but season 4 is my favorite and it is all because of Misha and his character Castiel. The Angel story line just put new life into my favorite show and showed what FREE WILL can do. Super article and I was happy when Cas won the favorite character contest, but I have to say I could not bring myself to vote for him, I love my Winchester to much.
ReplyDeleteMisha is an angel.
ReplyDeleteMisha is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis man is indeed an angel.. He has changed many lives and I happened to be one of them. Thank u so much Misha for being You and teaching us to be ourselves...
ReplyDeleteYou obviously never watched Season 7 but nice try.
ReplyDeleteBecause I was responding to an incorrect statement "Everybody loves Misha". I could've stuck around and have been more rude than this, but I made one other comment, which wasn't rude, and left your precious love fest. Dislike is not hate. Stating a dislike is not being hateful.
ReplyDeleteThis article made me nervous, I thought something bad happened to him but thank goodness he's fine.
ReplyDeleteSam and Dean NEVER stopped being interesting to me.They are what drew me and the majority of fans to SPN in the first place. What I saw happening was writers who stopped caring enough about their two leads(yes, SPN has TWO, not three leads) and decided they would rather write for supporting characters. Season 7's drop in ratings had nothing to do with lack of Cas. Had more to do with lousy writing and showrunning which Jeremy Carver has horribly continued. The main interest in Cas it seems, to me, come from a small but very loud sector of fandom that is under the delusion that there is a romantic subtext to his friendship with Dean.
ReplyDeleteMisha and the character of Cas did add something for the first couple of seasons after he was introduced, but then the writers became more interested in him then they did the brothers, who, whether some people like it or not, laid the foundation and still remain the core of SPN. If the writers would be half as interested in writing a good story for their leads, the whole show would improve.
I don't mind Misha getting some props, and it's great that he does a lot of charity work, but please stop acting like he is SPN. He is not. Jared and Jensen will ALWAYS be SPN. You can have Cas off the show for a while, but you can never have SPN without Jared or Jensen.
One more point: Jared and Jensen also do charity work, where are the props for them?
How can he possibly be the heart of a show that he is a supporting character on? How can he be the heart of a show that is NOT about him? No this doesn't mean I dislike Misha, just sick of seeing the slavish worship to a supporting character while the two leads and true heart and soul of SPN, get thrown to the backburner.
ReplyDeleteSPN is, and always will be, the story of Sam and Dean Winchester, the tragic life they have faced, and their intense bond. (No, I am not a Wincester). If you find their story boring, it's only because the writers stopped caring about investing time and thought into interesting arcs for them, their LEADS,in favor of guest/supporting characters. Jared and Jensen have been the heart of the show from the very beginning, and it's a damned shame that the writers and showrunners have chosen to relegate them to playing support for supporting characters and guest stars like Charlie.
Without Sam and Dean, there is no SPN.
Why is it that whenever there is an article written to praise misha, bro fans are suddenly shitting in the comments, like why does that always happen?
ReplyDeleteBecause he is NOT the star of SPN, nor the core of it and it always bugs fans like me when people like you claim he is. I don't dislike him, and he has his place as an ally and supporting character to Sam and Dean, but THEY are the stars and the reason SPN got off the ground in the first place and the reason why the majority of us still hang in there with the show. It also bugs me that the PTB at SPN have stopped writing anything good for the boys while giving more attention to Cas, a supporting character's, storyline.
ReplyDeleteAnd I confess that I find it a little hard to swallow all the comments about how awesome Misha is, when he has been queerbaiting and stringing his fans along with the possibility of Destiel for a long while now, while his friend and costar Jensen gets called a homophobic POS simply because he is honest with fans and says that there is no romantic subtext to their relationship. Yet Misha, knowing full well how horribly and undeservedly his friend is being trashed all over the internet, not only doesn't stand up for him but keeps right on egging his fans along with Destiel innuendo, making things even worse for Jensen(and recently Jared too). Misha does all the queerbaiting, yet he gets none of the criticism for it.
Ok, you want me to leave now, and I'll go, I've said my piece. Enjoy your Misha lovefest.
Nobody has claimed that he's the star but he's a valuable member of the cast. And you do realize that a lot of people love Cas and are not Destiel fans. There are alot of articles slavishly heaping love and attention on Jared & Jensen, Dean & Sam. You don't see Cas/Misha fans going into the comment section heaping abuse like Cas haters do. This article is about Misha/Cas and he deserves his place in the spotlight. I'm sorry you don't agree and begrudge any praise that he gets. The other two get plenty enough, so lets not gripe about any leftover crumbs that might fall Misha's way.
ReplyDeleteI didn't want to really get involved with this, but I have to respond.
ReplyDeleteCas was not even in Season 9, it was all about the brothers and their childish arguments. TPTB have essentially stopped writing Cas altogether so I have no idea what you mean by that.
Misha does not queerbait. In fact, if you watch his panels where he has talked about Destiel, he acknowledges that it is something important for many people, but does not say where he personally stands with it. He does something that the writers do NOT do, and that is acknowledge that Destiel shipping is a thing that exists (whether or not it's real in the show). The writers pretend that the lines they write don't even exist! Fan's genuinely want to know WHAT was implied with certain lines or certain scenes, but the writers will never give a proper answer. They keep stringing those fans along by dangling false hope in front of them because they know it works.
Misha is not the only one who jokes. If you remember not too long ago, Jared made a destiel joke on his twitter, but you aren't saying anything about that.
He doesn't queerbait. And if you think that's what he's doing, I don't think you're understanding queerbaiting properly. He's not making any promises and he's not the one writing those lines - he's just acting from what is on the script and is the only one with the balls to step up and consider what an impact that scene had. He's the only one who hasn't insulted the LGBT community because of their desperation for representation.
It's also important to note that Cas fans do not necessarily equal Destiel fans. Hell, some Cas fans are very anti-destiel.
Misha is awesome. Not only because of his work on Supernatural. We don't say "wow he's awesome because he supports our gay ships" that's just a bonus of course. He is a genuinely nice, caring and supportive human being and understands his fans and interacts with his fans more than any other stars of the show.
So please stop insulting him on an article written specifically for him!
Oh my god just stop commenting please. "It's the story of Sam and Dean" well maybe for YOU. Unfortunately, some people rely on Castiel for a good story. There's no problem with that. Just because you think you're right doesn't mean everyone else has to. If you don't like the comments, STOP reading them. And stop trying to put everyone down for praising Misha and his work on SPN.
ReplyDeleteHey Jackass, I DID stop commenting!
ReplyDeleteI don't give a rat's ass that you worship Misha so much, butstop making out like SPN is abpout him!He is NOT what SPN is about! SPN IS the story of Sam and Dean, whether idiots like you think so or not!
Jensen and Jared are genuinely nice and good people too, yet Jensen is run into the ground because he plainly states the Destiel doesn't exist, and then Misha turns around and still plays into it! Jensen is the one who is honest, not Misha.Yes Misha DOES queerbait and Jensen pays the price.Acting on what's in the script? Both Jensen and the writers have plainly stated that it's NOT in the script!
ReplyDeleteMore interaction with his fans? Alot of people see Misha as an attention whore and self promoter. And he goes out of his way to use the F word at cons just to appear"cool". And Jensen and Jared ARE friendly with their fans!
You don't want me to give an honest assessment of your god Misha, but I'll bet you have no problem putting down either Jared or especially Jensen on any articles about them.
Go off and worship Misha. Because no matter what you say, he will NEVER be what SPN is about.
Left over crumbs? ?Are you serious? These bloggers kiss his ass like candy!
ReplyDeleteAnd no, I never see these writers and bloggers heaping the same kind of praise on Jared and Jensen, the ones who made SPN, as they do on Misha/Cas. And yes, I've seen many articles about Cas/Misha where for no reason Jensen is brought up and called a homophobic POS.
I don't tolerate name-calling and I suggest you read the comment policy again before commenting here and generally behaving so disrespectfully.
ReplyDeleteI like Misha Collins and he seems like a really nice guy in interviews, at cons, and on Twitter. But Castiel isn't a Winchester. And I certainly won't call him the "only one" to have made an impact on the brothers. He is, I think, a pivotal and controversial figure in the fandom divide on how the show used to be vs how it is now.
ReplyDelete
