BONES, "The Conspiracy in the Corpse", September 25, 2014, Actors: John Francis Daley, David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel, The Scene: Sweets' death
Justyna Kubica: I can't believe it. I still can't and it's been days. In the most heartbreaking twist of the show, dr. Lance Sweets dies. Thus becoming the first main character to die on the show. He was one of my favorites, a kind, caring, funny and brave character who, for most time, looked on the brighter side of things and remained hopeful, even in his last words (to Booth): "The world is a lot better than you think it is. It's..." The show already feels so much emptier without him in it. In his final scene of the show Sweets says goodbye to Booth and Brennan, both absolutely shocked and heartbroken. Especially Booth, named a part of Sweets' family earlier in the episode and asked to be a godfather to his unborn baby. I was really looking forward to seeing Sweets becoming a father. And now... We can expect a truly broken Booth and a changed team this season. First the betrayal, then prison, now his friend's death. Such a powerful performance by David Boreanaz and it's only a beginning. The impact this death has on the show can't be forgotten easily. It's so hard to say goodbye. Such an emotional and brilliantly acted scene! John Francis Daley, dr. Lance Sweets, you'll be dearly missed!
Klutzy girl: The scene where Sweets died. Despite 10.02's title, I never once saw this coming and it hurt so badly, especially now that Daisy's pregnant. At least some part of him will live on in the baby. Booth and Brennan's distress was obvious and I fully expect Booth to drown in guilt over this.
Allyson Koerner: Booth and Brennan are by Sweets’ side as he dies. The Season 10 opener of Bones ended on a shocking note with fans and the cast saying goodbye to John Francis Daley’s character, Dr. Lance Sweets. For seven seasons, Daley portrayed the beloved Sweets who impacted the show, the team and viewers. What a shocking and sad way to go. Sweets and Daley, you’ll both be missed! The Scene: Danny and the Doctor argue
Sandi: Twelve's anti-soldier ideology has been brewing for a while so it was no surprise that the two of them were destined not to get on. I've liked Danny from the off, he's Rory the Roman with attitude, yet it's obviously hiding something about his past; I'm guessing that it presumably has something to do with this civilian he killed or his military career in general. I loved the clever play on words that the scene brought up, though I do wonder how this ties in to Danny real name, Rupert, also being army slang for officer too. Danny seemed to manage to get the upper hand to get his point across to Clara both here, and in the closing moments of the show. Part of me is left wondering how much he is going to effect the Doctor/Companion relationship, and a very small part of me is wondering if he is as innocent as he seems in all this. Does he have a hidden agenda at all, or is it just that ghost from the past playing into his fears making him a protective boyfriend who's worrying about Clara making the same mistake?
FOREVER, "Pilot", September 22, 2014, Actors: Ioan Gruffudd, MacKenzie Mauzy and more, The Scene: The final monologue with a flashback
Justyna Kubica: I'm really impressed with the show. After all the promos I was expecting to enjoy it, but still, it was absolutely charming and I loved the story right from the beginning. Especially Henry's monologues, beautifully written and quite insightful, and his relationship with Abe, revealed to be Henry's adopted son in the pilot's final moments. Henry's very long life was full of pain and death, but he also says at the end of the episode, it's also filled with so much beauty and wonder. And then there are moments, the ones that really matter, full of hope and love, the ones that make an impact on our future, that are worth everything in between. In one of these moments of his life, which we witness in this scene, he meets his great love and future son. Great editing, song, the words and actors make it all work wonderfully in the flashback and when we return to present time and see the bond and love between Henry and now older Abe. A brilliant way to introduce the viewers to their story and make them feel more connected with the characters, so early in the story. Will definitely continue to watch. Kudos!
Tonya Papanikolas: Not only did the flashback scene give us the first glimpse at Henry meeting his true love, but the realization that the baby he apparently took in and raised is actually Abe was such a great twist. It made you connect to the characters and think of how crazy it would be to watch your "son" grow up to become older than you. Their relationship was suddenly cast in a different light and I loved how the scene faded to the present time where Henry is kissing Abe on the head. What a great depiction of their love and relationship.

The Scene: Fish Mooney questions Oswald's loyalty
Nirat Anop: Fish Mooney questioning Oswald's loyalty was very interesting. We learn that she caused his walking impediment and therefore further cements his nickname of the 'Penguin' as a result. Oswald and Fish Mooney have been a standout in the pilot, amazingly portrayed by Jada Pinkett Smith and Robin Lord Taylor and I'm looking forward to their character development and to the evolution of Penguin.
HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, "Pilot", September 25, 2014, Actors: Alfred Enoch, Jack Falahee and more, The Scenes: The final scene & Connor gets creative
Daniel van der Veer: In what is probably the best pilot of the fall for me, flashforwards are used to show how far Annelise's students will really go. They are shown carrying a dead body to the woods, and eventually set it on fire to destroy the evidence. The last scene reveals that the body is Sam, Annelise's husband. This was a really interesting twist and I can't wait to discover what happened to him and who killed him. And, even more intriguing, will whoever did it get away with murder?
Jimmy Ryan: I cannot contain my praise for the amazing pilot that screened Thursday. This episode had everything, and it has me completely hooked. My favorite scene would have to be the last one, where we see the discovery of the missing girl's body in the water tank, followed by a timeshift to the burning of Annalise's husband's body. So much mystery, so much to think about, and that's why it is my favorite scene. Also picked by Jamie Coudeville

MARVEL'S AGENTS OF SHIELD, "Shadows", September 23, 2014, Actors: Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker and more, The Scenes: Skye and Ward's conversation in the cell & The reveal that Jemma isn't there
Justyna Kubica: It's so good to have the show back. In its great season premiere there were quite a few moments I could mention but nothing as powerful as the truth about Fitz' state of mind. Iain De Caestecker was absolutely brilliant in the entire episode, portraying Leo's struggles with his brain damage that still hasn't disappeared months later. And Jemma being only a hallucination, not his best friend staying beside him after his near-death experience was such a sad surprise. I truly hope she had a great reason to leave because last season the two became very much the heart of the show and I'd hate to see their bond destroyed like that. Poor Fitz. There's so much of him missing right now. Hopefully we'll see more of the team support for him and Jemma's return soon.
Klutzy girl: Skye and Ward's conversation in the cell. I've been looking forward to this moment ever since the promos started teasing it but that was actually worse than I thought it'd be. I was emotionally destroyed by this moment/episode. Ward was clearly heading for a breakdown last season and I was horrified to find out that he tried to kill himself. Brett and Chloe knocked that scene out of the park.
Jamie Coudeville: Jemma was never there. When we found out that Fitz had been hallucinating Jemma the entire episode, I felt like someone ripped my heart out. And it left me with so many questions. Ian's performance was amazing this week.
OUTLANDER, "Both Sides Now", September 27, 2014, Actors: Caitriona Balfe, Tobias Menzies
The Scene: Claire and Frank run towards Craigh Na Dun
Nirat Anop: Claire and Frank running towards Craigh Na Dun. Frank is at the standing stones calling out Claire and she hears him, running faster. The scene was once again accompanied by the incredible score that Bear McCreary has orchestrated. The editing and direction of the scene is impeccable (When Claire is taken away it seamlessly moves to Frank's walking towards his car all between a boulder, a symbolic notion of the two timelines). The way she was running for him was a really moving sentiment to their marriage, she still cares deeply for him and wants to return to her time. When she finally gets to the stones she calls out to him and he hears her, as if it was some sort of dimension between time was real, just as Mrs. Graham had said. But just as she was about to touch it, the screen turns to black with the echoes of her voice shouting out before the scene starts again and the Red Coats take her away. I really loved this scene, it was moving, poetic and heartbreaking at the end. The emotions conveyed by Caitriona Balfe and Tobias Menzies made the scene more meaningful, it highlights more of Frank's character and the relationship between Claire and Frank.

Jimmy Ryan: Television's number one show is back, and the fourth season premiere didn't disappoint. There were so many highlights I'd love to pick but I have to opt for the last scene in the episode, where The Machine makes contact with Finch and directs him to an abandoned subway tunnel.
DarkUFO: Harold breaks the code and discovers a new lair.
Bradley Adams: Reese joins as Fusco's new partner. It's a great way to give the two more scenes together, and the nod towards Carter was superb. Also picked by Ben Norton
Darth Locke: Reese and Shaw both end up and feel bored at the meeting.
SCANDAL, "Randy, Red, Superfreak and Julia", September 25, 2014, Actors: Bellamy Young, Tony Goldwyn, The Scene: Fitz and Mellie talk on the White House balcony
Tonya Papanikolas: In this scene we learn that Fitz tried to commit suicide in the two months since we've last seen him. What a revelation. And even though Mellie has clearly been distraught over her son's death, she is still the tough woman she always was. She is making her demands of Fitz here when it comes to Olivia. She wants a heads up if he is going to see her because she doesn't want to monitor him any more. Even though she didn't say, "You can't see her," it seems like this is a Mellie who isn't going to put up with a lot anymore.
SCORPION, "Pilot", September 22, 2014, Actors: Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee and more
The Scenes: The end scene & Walter drives on the runway
Daniel van der Veer: This fast-paced pilot ends with a beautiful scene. Paige is offered a job on the Scorpion team to translate the world for the geniuses. Walter offers to help her connect with her son, who is also a genius. It leads to a beautiful scene between the two of them, and hopefully there will be more of these in future episodes.
Sandi: Nearly went for the big stunt scene, it was impressive and flashy, and surprising worked on screen even though we all know it's impossible! But as Daniel says, this was a beautiful scene which summed up why these odd ball characters got on with each other in the first place. I too hope that the series contains more touching scenes like this to balance out the fast paced action and dialogue.

SLEEPY HOLLOW, "This Is War", September 22, 2014, Actors: Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie, The Scenes: Abbie and Ichabod reunite & Ichabod escapes from the box
Klutzy girl: Their friendship has come a long way since the pilot, and I love that she immediately figured out how that wasn't the real Ichabod. Looking forward to them becoming closer this season.
Pablozky21: Sleepy Hollow took off the season in a pretty amazing start; among my favorite scenes there is the moment when Ichabod manages to escape his burial place. There's the funny bit with the cellphone and then Ichabod uses his wits to escape by blowing up the box to hell. I think it's memorable to mention because the show didn't use a Deux-Ex Machina or cheap narrative resources to save Ichabod as many shows would do, instead it relies merely on wits and it becomes more awesome because of that.
THE BIG BANG THEORY, "The Locomotion Interruption", September 22, 2014, Actors: Jim Parsons, Mayim Bialik, The Scene: Sheldon tells Amy that he failed
Pablozky21: Though not perfect, the season premiere of TBBT had a lot of funny moment and a good chunk of positive character development. It's rare to see Sheldon vulnerable and I appreciate every instance of it, so when he tells Amy that he didn't call her because he didn't want her to see him as a failure it clicks; it's a beautiful moment in which Amy tells him that he doesn't need to be perfect, and while Sheldon doesn't take that very good, the sentiment is still there, and one can feel that their relationship is growing stronger episode by episode.
THE BLACKLIST, "Lord Baltimore (No. 104)", September 22, 2014, Actors: James Spader, Peter Stormare and more, The Scene: Berlin calls Reddington & The opening scene
Daniel van der Veer: Finally we saw some interaction between Red and his long-time nemesis Berlin. Their phone call was an intense scene and shows how far Berlin will go to get revenge on Red. While I'm still not sure if Red actually killed Berlin's daughter, it will surely make for an intense battle between them. I can't wait to see their face-to-face meeting next week.
Bradley Adams: Berlin calls Reddington and sends him his ex-wife's finger.
Jimmy Ryan: It's so good to have James Spader back on our screens. He's set to own Monday nights once more. Again, so tough to pick a favorite scene from the premiere but I have to go with the opener, where Red is bundled up in the trunk of a car, surrounded by a healthy dose of nutty African extremists and bullets. To top it off, he calls in a hellfire missile strike. Simply epic!

THE GOOD WIFE, "The Line", September 21, 2014, Actors: Matt Czuchry and more
The Scene: Cary gets cut while in lockup
Wilson Crawford: After seeing Cary Agos arrested (originally without cause), stripped, abused, and ignored in a general detention facility without his call, a fellow inmate approaches him. He claims the offhand legal advice Cary shared with him earlier was helpful. He then says Lemond Bishop wants Cary's finger, and brandishes a knife... But instead he'll settle for cutting Cary's hand open to get the point across that if Cary flips on the druglord, he's a dead man. Cary has gone from a name partner of a promising law firm, to a prisoner with no dignity, and a gaping flesh wound in the matter of 30 minutes (of the episode). There was such a traumatic, dirty feel to the whole episode, and this was the low point for poor Cary.
THE MIDDLE, "Unbraceable You", September 24, 2014, Actor: Eden Sher, The Scene: Sue gets a retainer
Pablozky21: The Middle MVP is clearly Sue; though the whole family is given the spotlight in many different situations, no character stands out more than Sue- thanks to Eden Sher's great performance. The audience tends to side with her, so it's always nice to see her having a victory every once in a while. After the disaster of taking off her braces, Sue is finally ready to give after a lifetime of trying her hardest, but then her dentist tells her that she only needs to use a retainer and her enthusiasm is back on. It's great to see her so excited, and even more exciting to think of the repercusion this event will have from here onwards; she already looks more confindent and I can't wait to see what's up for her.
THE STRAIN, "The Third Rail", September 21, 2014, Actors: Corey Stoll, Kevin Durand and more, The Scenes: Eph and his team confront The Master & Fet is stuck in the tunnel with a vampire
Tonya Papanikolas: Eph and his team confront The Master. What a fantastic scene. This is the most we've heard and seen from The Master in all the episodes and it was fascinating to see him grab Eph. The Master is creepy and gross and evil but you want to know more about him and how he works. The action and special effects in the scene were also great as Vasiliy throws the "light bomb" to save Eph and it goes off on a strobe, killing all the vampires but giving The Master a chance to escape. Jimmy Ryan: Television's number one show is back, and the fourth season premiere didn't disappoint. There were so many highlights I'd love to pick but I have to opt for the last scene in the episode, where The Machine makes contact with Finch and directs him to an abandoned subway tunnel.
DarkUFO: Harold breaks the code and discovers a new lair.
Bradley Adams: Reese joins as Fusco's new partner. It's a great way to give the two more scenes together, and the nod towards Carter was superb. Also picked by Ben Norton
Darth Locke: Reese and Shaw both end up and feel bored at the meeting.
Tonya Papanikolas: In this scene we learn that Fitz tried to commit suicide in the two months since we've last seen him. What a revelation. And even though Mellie has clearly been distraught over her son's death, she is still the tough woman she always was. She is making her demands of Fitz here when it comes to Olivia. She wants a heads up if he is going to see her because she doesn't want to monitor him any more. Even though she didn't say, "You can't see her," it seems like this is a Mellie who isn't going to put up with a lot anymore.
The Scenes: The end scene & Walter drives on the runway
Daniel van der Veer: This fast-paced pilot ends with a beautiful scene. Paige is offered a job on the Scorpion team to translate the world for the geniuses. Walter offers to help her connect with her son, who is also a genius. It leads to a beautiful scene between the two of them, and hopefully there will be more of these in future episodes.
Sandi: Nearly went for the big stunt scene, it was impressive and flashy, and surprising worked on screen even though we all know it's impossible! But as Daniel says, this was a beautiful scene which summed up why these odd ball characters got on with each other in the first place. I too hope that the series contains more touching scenes like this to balance out the fast paced action and dialogue.
Darth Locke: Walter drives on the runway while Paige attempts to grab the computer chord from the air plane!
Klutzy girl: Their friendship has come a long way since the pilot, and I love that she immediately figured out how that wasn't the real Ichabod. Looking forward to them becoming closer this season.
Pablozky21: Sleepy Hollow took off the season in a pretty amazing start; among my favorite scenes there is the moment when Ichabod manages to escape his burial place. There's the funny bit with the cellphone and then Ichabod uses his wits to escape by blowing up the box to hell. I think it's memorable to mention because the show didn't use a Deux-Ex Machina or cheap narrative resources to save Ichabod as many shows would do, instead it relies merely on wits and it becomes more awesome because of that.
Pablozky21: Though not perfect, the season premiere of TBBT had a lot of funny moment and a good chunk of positive character development. It's rare to see Sheldon vulnerable and I appreciate every instance of it, so when he tells Amy that he didn't call her because he didn't want her to see him as a failure it clicks; it's a beautiful moment in which Amy tells him that he doesn't need to be perfect, and while Sheldon doesn't take that very good, the sentiment is still there, and one can feel that their relationship is growing stronger episode by episode.
Daniel van der Veer: Finally we saw some interaction between Red and his long-time nemesis Berlin. Their phone call was an intense scene and shows how far Berlin will go to get revenge on Red. While I'm still not sure if Red actually killed Berlin's daughter, it will surely make for an intense battle between them. I can't wait to see their face-to-face meeting next week.
Bradley Adams: Berlin calls Reddington and sends him his ex-wife's finger.
Jimmy Ryan: It's so good to have James Spader back on our screens. He's set to own Monday nights once more. Again, so tough to pick a favorite scene from the premiere but I have to go with the opener, where Red is bundled up in the trunk of a car, surrounded by a healthy dose of nutty African extremists and bullets. To top it off, he calls in a hellfire missile strike. Simply epic!

The Scene: Cary gets cut while in lockup
Wilson Crawford: After seeing Cary Agos arrested (originally without cause), stripped, abused, and ignored in a general detention facility without his call, a fellow inmate approaches him. He claims the offhand legal advice Cary shared with him earlier was helpful. He then says Lemond Bishop wants Cary's finger, and brandishes a knife... But instead he'll settle for cutting Cary's hand open to get the point across that if Cary flips on the druglord, he's a dead man. Cary has gone from a name partner of a promising law firm, to a prisoner with no dignity, and a gaping flesh wound in the matter of 30 minutes (of the episode). There was such a traumatic, dirty feel to the whole episode, and this was the low point for poor Cary.
Pablozky21: The Middle MVP is clearly Sue; though the whole family is given the spotlight in many different situations, no character stands out more than Sue- thanks to Eden Sher's great performance. The audience tends to side with her, so it's always nice to see her having a victory every once in a while. After the disaster of taking off her braces, Sue is finally ready to give after a lifetime of trying her hardest, but then her dentist tells her that she only needs to use a retainer and her enthusiasm is back on. It's great to see her so excited, and even more exciting to think of the repercusion this event will have from here onwards; she already looks more confindent and I can't wait to see what's up for her.
Tonya Papanikolas: Eph and his team confront The Master. What a fantastic scene. This is the most we've heard and seen from The Master in all the episodes and it was fascinating to see him grab Eph. The Master is creepy and gross and evil but you want to know more about him and how he works. The action and special effects in the scene were also great as Vasiliy throws the "light bomb" to save Eph and it goes off on a strobe, killing all the vampires but giving The Master a chance to escape. Sharon Seymour: Fet is stuck in the tunnel with a Vampire slowly crawling up behind him. Extremely tense and claustrophobic scene.
