  2. Yeeeeeeeeah, so I think I lost count of how many times I was going, "No, no, no, no, NO!" at that ending. Oh. Crap. That is not good. To say the very least. And the promo for next week! WHAT?! Aaaah!
In other news, oh, my god, the reunion between Ichabod and Katrina broke my heart. I understand her plan, but...agh! They were so close! And I'm feeling for Jenny, too, with her current situation. Her parting words to Abbie at the end of the episode made me wince. I'm kinda intrigued by the new sheriff, though-yeah, she's tough, and I get Abbie and Jenny bristling at any mention of their childhood and their mom, but I suspect she could turn out to be a good ally for them as time goes on. I hope so. Also, that resurrected body Ichabod and Abbie had? Creepy. That whole scene with the big fight was so intense. Very curious to see how that's going to continue to play out.
And on a significantly lighter note, I am completely in agreement with Crane's rant about credit cards. Loved that scene at the bank. Man. What a crazy episode. Very anxious to see what happens next week.

  3. Damn Henry is proving to be very interesting, can't wait to see his plans for Irving. Not linking the new sheriff but I suppose she's a necessary evil. Still don't care about Katrina, Katrina/Ichabod or Ichabod/Katrina/Abraham.

    Loved the fight between Headless/Kindred/War.

  4. Oh God, Irving, this is going to end badly. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? And I'm shipping Abbie/Ichabod more and more every week. Oops.

    The monster was terrifying.

  5. Let's cross our fingers that last week maybe people were caught by surprise or something, and hopefully this week will either remain steady or maybe even be up by 5 to 10%. Hey a guy can dream, if the numbers fall significantly I'm not sure my heart can take it.

  6. I can't watch it for another hour and a half, to satisfy my curiosity can someone tell me if the opening credits were intact this week, or if they had just the title screen like last week? :) I dunno why I want to know so badly, but, there it is. ;)

  7. They were intact :). I know what you mean about them, I like seeing the opening credits in full, too. It's fun to see John and Lyndie in the cast list now.

  8. The fight between War/Kindred/ Horseless was epic Irving why would you to that Henry proving to be quite the villain please!!!! keep Abby and Ichabod as friends who will always be there for each other why can't we have a show where the leads aren't romantically involve yes I see the chemistry unless they kill Katrina off maybe I will like to see them together but I hope not I like her character can't stand the new cop

  9. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. :) Sleepy Hollow has some of my favorite credits right now and I always miss them when they just give us the title screen. The music and atmosphere always gets me in the perfect mood for the episode despite it only being 30 seconds lol.

  10. Am I the only one who really likes Katrina and is interested in her character and story line? A main reason why I root for her - she's basically the underdog of this series overshadowed by the other two leads. Also a large part of the fandom either doesn't care for her at all or is just hostile towards her character and that automatically makes me support her more.

Anyways, I digress. Awesome episode. :)

  11. I agree, never found a reason to dislike Katrina but dare I say shipper mentality? (aka. "the obstacle in the ship")

    ReplyDelete
  12. No problem :). I completely agree. It adds to the spookiness and mystery. This show's a perfect series to watch in the fall given all the creepy stories and such they deal with, and I think the opening credits add to that feeling.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I always feel cheated whenever the opening credits are not played in full. Same goes for Elementary's credits.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yeah, I've heard about that, too. See, I think that'd just be way too cliché. If the show ever DOES go that route of having Ichabod choose, I always think it'd be more interesting if the choice were tougher. If one's plainly evil and the other purely good, well, that kind of takes away the suspense and debate over who is the better choice, doesn't it? But if he's deeply loyal to and cares about both of them, well...that gives us something to work with, something to wonder about.

  15. I haven't seen "Elementary", but I agree with your general sentiment. It just makes things more complete.

  16. I get where you are coming from but for me love triangles (in books and visual medium) are poison. They are the easiest and laziest way for writers to create drama and most of the times they destroy the finer traits of the character(s) involved leaving them highly unlikeable.

  17. The monster was very terrifying. That whole fight scene was just crazy and intense. I did like when they thought the spell hadn't worked at first, and Ichabod's like, "I haven't spoken some of these words before..." and whatnot, though. That was funny.
And the ending with Irving. I was sitting here waving my hands wildly and yelling, "NO!" over and over again. To say this is not good would be the massive understatement of the year and now I'm all nervous and stuff.
(Apologies if this sort of comment posts twice-I had a big ol' post typed out earlier, but it's not showing up-waiting to be approved, apparently. First time that's ever happened to me.)

  18. And I completely understand that line of thinking, too. I'm personally ultimately with you on that front, in that I'd prefer we just avoid that route altogether and make a choice one way or another on the shipping front and call it good. Just saying that if the show DID go down the love triangle road, that'd be the way I'd prefer it to happen. I'd just hate for the show to make any one character all bad and evil simply for the sake of putting two other people together, is all. I'd prefer there be some logical sad yet understandable reason Ichabod and Katrina would break up in order for him to be with Abbie, or Abbie would tell him to go be happy with his wife while she learns to move on from whatever feelings she has for him, or something of that sort.
(And besides that, if anyone's expecting Crane and Abbie to get together now at this early stage in the series, they need to temper their hopes. No, the show shouldn't drag it out if they are considering that, but it's best not to rush it, either. I'd expect that to be a distinct possibility in another season or two if they are looking at someday doing that.)

  19. you took the words right out of my mind :)

  20. awesome, awesome, no wait... epic! My one show I watch after... well... you know... please don't kill this one off... gonna try to avoid ratings and just enjoy while it lasts!

  21. This episode was AWESOME! I really enjoyed it. Loved the plan Abbie and Irving made together for him to get transferred, it was great to see him, even in the cell. I was wondering last week how he was holding up, and gotta say no surprise there. But he could've looked worse, so he held his own.

I'm gonna give the typical response here and say that new Sheriff is a Bitchhhhh. What!! When she went to Jenny's cell i said, "Oh no, she gotta go." Lol She seems much MUCH worse than Irving last season, (before he knew the truth), i'm glad they brought up the comparison though. When the scene between them was presented I mean.

Loved the monster Ichabod and Abbie made. Omg that was great! He rose and fought and kicked ass! The monster, war, and the horseman, that was an oh shit moment!! I liked how the monster kinda growled at Abbie impling "GO!" and she was out! At that point i said Awww, they made a baby. Lmfao!! An extremely ugly baby, but you know what? It still has a head!! Yeah take that Abraham! In Yo face!! hahahaha

I really enjoyed the talk(s) between Icabbie tonight. Especially the one where they were in the cave, and she was talking about her time in purgatory. (Like it was her therapy after a traumatic experience) And how her trust in Ichabod is her weakness. I love their friendship, it's becoming deeper, she's able to express herself, w/o crossing the line. For instance, when she said she thought Katrina was Ichabod's witness. I liked that, b/c it's what he needed to hear. Or rather figure out since she didn't say it in too many words. But it wasn't on a level of "hey, leave your wife." kinda deal, it was more of, "I've got your back b/c when shit goes down, they'll come at you through her, and they'll come at me through you." Kinda thing. Hopefully, you guys understood that, but that's what i got. Basically she's just expressing her thoughts more openly now, and it really showed that Ichabod takes her opinons to heart and into consideration. What she thinks is important to him.

Loved all the humor as usual. I swear even though we watch the sneak peeks beforehand it's even more enjoyable (at least for me) when it's seen again in the episode. lol The pen, the credit card, reading the incantation wrong, the "Only if you want to set a mood." line when Abbie asked if she needed candles lit. LOL And when Irving was talking to Abbie and he described how deep the head was hidden. LOL i cracked up.

The ending really made me pop up! i said please Irving don't do it!!! Andddd he did, he totally unknowingly, signed his soul away. ughhh, and nobody told him about Henry!!! That didn't even register to me, until he walked in the room! I said omg, he has no clue who this person is. Now i'm nervous for him. I didn't see that coming. It's going to be a great SL for Irving. On another note, I still don't like Katrina, i can't get into her character. It's not working for me. Maybe when she gets out of the Horseman's grasp it'll be different. But for now, or shall i say Still, she bugs me.

Next week looks really good and I can't wait to really get explore all the great SL of this season. And i'm soo dying to see the Pied Piper. lol I can't let that go.

  22. Completely agreed on the talk Ichabod and Abbie had about her time in Purgatory, and the stuf with Katrina. That was a nice, honest conversation, and I love the message you got from her reassurances to him, too. Indeed, Moloch is going to not just mess with Katrina and Ichabod's trust in each other, but he's also going to mess with Abbie and Ichabod's trust, too. But the three of them are all strong together and individually, and I think their trust in each other will be able to withstand whatever Moloch has in store.
I was shouting at the TV a lot tonight. Yelling at Irving at the end, and then when Abbie was in the midst of that fight with the monster, the Horseman, and War, I was either cheering her on or going, "Run!" LOL. At this rate I think my voice might wind up being shot by the end of this season.

  24. Full opening credits after 10 minutes is back..........AWESOME and the way it should always be!
Abbie and Ichabod's "witty banter" alone is worth the 44 minutes (lol)!
Kindred vs. Horseman and War plus Abbie.............well that's not fair!
The new sheriff is a real pain in the @$$!
    Katrina is brave, but foolish.
Can Jenny not catch a break?
What's Henry up to? Irving, wait...............NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Next week "Sleepy Heads"..................Henry has a "Evil Magic Coin"..............dammit to Moloch!
    4 A HEADLESS EXPERIENCE, I am Nobody!!!
Quote of the week: Lt. Abigail Mills
Quote: "Great job, Mills. What's next? (Horseman War comes riding up behind her (Abbie) on his Nightmare with flaming broad sword drawn) "Dammit!"

  25. Oh i agree! I didn't think too much of the whole "Ichabod chose Abbie over you Katrina, stay with me stay with me scene." (even though i kinda enjoyed it) b/c i knew Katrina wouldn't fall for it. She knows Ichabod loves her, and she he, soo i just kinda waved that off. However, i was very surprised when she reminisced back to Ichabbie's hug in purgatory. Now last season when that happened, i laughed so hard thinking that was so cheesy b/c the writers turned that camera to get her reaction so obviously! In that moment, i thought really?? I don't want to see her reaction, i want to see the hug, not some supposed curiosity you're trying to build up in Katerina. (rolls eyes). Honestly I took that as, she saw that Ichabod made a dear friend, in this time. And he adapted and someone looked out for him. And she understood that through witnessing their hug. BUT tonight, if she automatically thought that through Abraham's manipulative words, then then seed was planted but far back in her head. As for Abbie and Ichabod, i didn't even think of that! Nice theory! And omg, now i'm scared, hahaha, but i do agree their bond is so strong, their trust for each other won't be broken.

Hahahahaha right there with you, my eyes were glued, i loved how the monster turned around before stabbing the horseman and quickly came to Abbie's aide. I was yelling, OMG his body's right there just pierce him! Wait noo go help Abbie!! lol And aren't we getting 15 episodes this season, if i remember correctly?

  27. I agree with everything you said!!!! :) I can't with the Ichabod/Abbie ship because he has a WIFE. Whom he LOVES. So, yeah..

  28. Is Henry back to be good? I'm starting to hate him more and more if he's still an evil like this.

and for the last scene that Henry show up and let Irvin sign something, I feel shock and angry!

    ReplyDelete
  29. yeah they haven't kept him in the loop on whats been going down.. which they should have done...that way he would have known not to even talk to Henry

  30. I'm not liking that new sheriff at all... I'm so hoping someone puts a bullet in her

    ReplyDelete
  31. Don't you mean Axe to her head ;). No one i recall from season 1 and 2 episodes of season 2 that someone is shot lol

    ReplyDelete
  32. LOL... they don't have to shoot her.. they can get rid her any way imaginable...and it would be fine with me...

    ReplyDelete
  33. One word.. "Franklinstein"! I cannot believe that actually worked. Glad they brought Irving back was worried they were letting him go this season. I hope he's more ingrained in the main story this season. I really like the new sheriff. The actress is perfect. I love the casting on this show. Maybe I'm too used to the 'Young Hollywood' type that seem to get all the fanfare these days but the cast feels unique to me. I enjoy all of their performances.
