I watched the pilot last month thanks to FOX.com and it was actually great. The highlight for me was the three boys sneaking out of the hospital getting alcohol. Also, the chemistry between Emma and Jordi blends so well.
It was good very heartwarming and funny well written great cast favorite quote is “Everyone thinks that when you go to a hospital, life stops. But it’s just the opposite – life starts.”
I thought it was ok. But living with cystic fibrosis myself is not at all an easy going disease..I don't need a lung transplant just yet but I have almost came to death this past 5 months and I needed to wear oxygen 24/7. In this show Dash is running around smoking pot, which is not good for the lungs. Making it seem like he has nothing wrong with him. If he needs a transplant then he should be wearing oxygen and should not be able to run let a lone walk so quickly...The writer and editor should have looked more into cystic fibrosis, because so far this show is making it seem like cystic fibrosis is an easy peasy disease. This is far from the truth cf is a horrific disease and it is a hard battle every single day. Also cf is mostly found in caucasions not African Americans so if they wanted to make this show realistic they should have used a caucasion actor for the acting of having cf or just switched the actors up.
I'm sorry life does not just start when entering the hospital it is just another day nothing fantastic about it life still goes on outside of the hospital.
I really, really, really liked this show. Although the characters were cliche I thought the cliches were executed in a manner that made them real. Maybe that's due to the right casting. And the show can really capitalise on the success of the Fault in Our Stars (even though I'm a bookseller that dislikes John Green) and the "sick-lit" movement. Maybe it's just that NBC cancelled Camp so this filled that teen comedy-drama void.
I really enjoyed the snarky humor and biting sarcasm. With the exception of Dash, I've enjoyed all characters. I hope it gets decent ratings, it would be nice to have a teen soap on my schedule again.
I just finished watching it ! I really enjoyed it ! I love the characters...there are so many stories they can tell.... and they picked really good musics, one of them I really liked : I will be there - Odessa.(when they were dancing) Looking forward to the next one.
it was such a well done pilot. Its about a touchy subject of ill and terminally ill kids/teens, but they presented it in such a way that felt like the kids were trying to be as normal as possible despite their illnesses. It had comedy, heart, and was very entertaining. I'm a fan!
Yea but they should have done a better job, plus if he needs a lung transplant you aren't allowed to go run around the hospital you have to be isolated trust me I know everything about cystic fibrosis.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI think Fox can defiantly have a hit on they're hands I won't say anything big but not anything small either but in all I loved this. Episode
ReplyDeleteChecked it out because I was curious, actually enjoyed it. As of now it's on my watch list definitely not what I was expecting.
ReplyDeleteVery promising pilot, it'll definitely be on my watchlist.

ReplyDeleteI thought the show made it very clear that these characters don't really have much of a life outside the hospital.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed their interactions. They have some nice chemistry.
ReplyDeletei like all the characters except for dash and ruben
ReplyDeleteI liked it more than I thought I would , so will be watching next week.
ReplyDeleteI watched it a few days ago and it was amazing.

ReplyDeleteI watched it months ago. It was pretty good, but I think the show can do without Dash, didn't like his character at all.
ReplyDeleteI thought Dash was pretty alg, why didn't you like him? I don't like Ruben though, but I'm willing to give him a chance
ReplyDeleteChasing Life is better in my opinion. I wish more people were watching it, this seems ok but I like CL better.
ReplyDeleteHe just struck me as cocky and arrogant. Maybe he'll grow on me but right now, I don't like the guy.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're living with cystic fibrosis but hope you'll be okay.
ReplyDeleteIn terms of this show, it does start there. Calm down.
ReplyDeleteYeah that maybe the case but depicting an African American is not less realistic as they have it too it's just rarer.
ReplyDeleteLoved it! :)
