The end was perfect. Really mysterious and kept me on the edge of my seat, but the transition from the sister storyline to the Storybrooke storyline wasn't that good. They tried to pull of to much stuff in just one episode.
THAT WAS AWESOME!!! Sven was so great just like the movie and so was Anna and Elsa :) Regina is working so hard for her Happy amending, she absolutely deserves it!
Rumpbelle Dance scene was perfection, the song, the look, very thing :)
How people can hate Captain Swan is so beyond my comprehension. Come on, that was pretty cute. Hook looked stupidly happy and Emma is slowly opening her heart to him more and more.
It was fantastic!!! I am really looking forward to this season! I thought I saw Merlin's hat from Fantasia when Rumple was holding it. That Rumpbelle dance was so incredibly sweet. The CGI was PERFECT, from the ice monster to the little creatures that turned into rocks. They're really going all out on Frozen this season.
I agree with everything you said exceeept ... Regina isn't working hard for her happy ending in as much as she is determined to destroy everyone else's happy ending to get what she wants. How exactly has Regina changed for the better again?
Oh right lol, so excited typing I forgot I meant when she stopped the snowman, I thought that was nice of her. I'm holding onto the hope she'll be happy :)
Now you're just looking for excuses to give them crap. Even Emma said in the episode that they're not in a relationship, they're taking things slowly to see where it leads. In what world does a kiss mean someone is in a relationship? And they are going on a date, she invited him back to her place to watch a movie. It's simple but a start. Did you even watch the episode?
excellent start to the season and nice job by the writers tying things together between all the various plots/flashbacks to set the stage nicely for the season... loved the return of Sidney/Mirror although it was for Regina's nefarious side (I really like that Regina seems to be struggling between her evil/heroic sides, but the bad side is currently got a leg up so far-but that might change)... really enjoyed the scenes with Gold at Neal's grave, and the nice touch of Emma talking with Regina on opposite sides of the door (reminding me of the Anna/Elsa scene in Frozen)... nice touch... really curious to see how Regina will go about finding the author power of the book, and what Rumple uncovered - it looks like a wizard's hat, like what Mickey Mouse wore in the Sorceror's apprentice, lol nice DIsney touch
Happy to have the show back and there were some good moments ( loved Emma talking through the door to Regina) but that snow monster was over the top cartoonish for our beloved Storybrooke.
So . . . I really enjoyed the season premiere! I am a huge Rumple fan so I loved the scene w/him and Belle dancing. That was a super cute scene. I do wonder how he walked around w/that huge blade in his jacket pocket as I imagine it was a bit uncomfortable but that's our Rumplestiltskin!
I am interested in Regina's revenge on Marian, and it was nice seeing GE again.
Henry is growing up! The actor is getting much taller.
I have never seen Frozen but I liked what I saw so far!! The characters seem interesting enough to me. I can't wait to see what the rest of the season brings.
Since my main interest is Regina's development, let me focus on that. First of, yet again she is the one moving the history along and connecting OUAT to its previous seasons. I think the idea of finding the book's author is good and has potential. This has been a somehow recurring topic ever since S1 and could lead to interesting storylines. And the fact they brought Sidney back to help her out only makes me like it even more. Secondly, I like how Robin handled the situation. He made it very clear he does have feelings for her, but he will go back to Marion because (i) he did love her for a very long time (and perhaps still does, because, hell, how could he not have some love for the mother of his child) and (ii) she is his wife. IMO though, none of what he said means he will never leave Marion and stay with Regina, without any killing/disappearing/etc happening.
And, please, let's all hold off on the "OMG, Regina's gonna murder everyone!!!!!!" histeria. She won't. Like it or not, there are more layers to Regina than that.
From where is the hat at the end? i cant picture it anywhere except Harry Potter xD. There was something on the Frozen storyline that didnt work for me. Everything else was great. I liked that move they did with Regina now looking for who is the creator of the book, that might let us to Pinocchio cause he was the one that brought the book in the first place but now that he is a child, it might be a little problem. Also Regina knows she cant change the past cause it will affect their future, one might think with the Marian thing she should be thinking on something else, but the first idea she had was that!. Rumple gave the real Dagegr to Belle at the end, right?. but again i have no idea what that ending means.
Okay start. I'm not super into the Frozen stuff cause I never watched the movie, and am sad that Regina and Rumple's will to be good didn't/won't last long (whatever that thing Rumple found is, isn't good news I imagine).
It's fine if you don't like them, but don't make up lies to just to have an excuse not to like them. everything you said in that short post was blatantly, obviously wrong.
Mickey Mouse is coming yay lol, they definitely cast elsa, anna kristoff and sven completely right, loved georgina as elsa, forgot how babbly anna is lol, excited to maybe meeting The Writer, honestly how can emma be with hook so soon after neal, weird seeing neville back as sydney, surprised we didn't meet the Big Bad in the premiere, maybe in the third episode, anna must be in storybrooke if her necklace is there
This was a good start to the season. I enjoyed the Frozen stuff a lot. All of the Frozen characters are so distinct and different from the other Storybrooke characters. Just from this premiere, I think the Frozen characters, and their storyline, adds a nice fresh feel to the show. The special effects, especially the snow falling around Elsa, and her icing things, was really well done.
I'm also intrigued by the character progression for both Regina and Rumple. While they each are going back somewhat to their old dark ways, it's also obvious that they're struggling with these choices, which used to not bother them before. It probably would've been less clumsy than what we're seeing, to write them struggling like this throughout the latter half of last season, instead of making them so fully heroic and good by last season's end. That way, this waffling back and forth between old evil habits, and their newfound morality, wouldn't seem so backwards to their character progression.
Flaws aside, I really enjoyed this premiere, and am looking forward to this season.
Awesome premiere!!! After months of endless promotion, the premiere has finally arrived and it did not disappoint in the slightest!
Georgina Haig and Elizabeth Lail are the perfect Elsa and Anna and now I can't see anyone else playing them. They were exceptional tonight.
All of the CaptainSwan scenes were adorable and that Netflix line had me dying in laughter. "Want to go home and see whats on Netflix?" "I don't know what that is, but sure!" HA! Hook is madly in love.
Grand Pabbie and the snow monster looked absolutely gorgeous. I was really impressed by the special effects tonight and hopefully they keep it up.
That Rumpbelle dance scene!! Come on, that was just utterly adorable. And I loved how they played the Beauty and the Beast song and they dressed just like how they did in the movie.
It's going to be a lot of fun seeing Elsa meeting with all the Storybrooke residents for the first time. I can't wait for that.
I also can't wait to see who is the author of the Storybook. My speculation is that it's Yen Sid since Rumple found the Sorcerer's Hat! That would be such a cool reveal.
Emma telling Regina that it is her job to bring back the happy endings to Storybrooke was so sweet. I really hope she fulfills her duty because Regina deserves it after all that she has been through. She's earned it.
LOVED IT from the beginning. and all the Rumble scenes: Neal's grave, the wedding dance... completly heartwarming Emma and Regina's moment: wonderful could write so much more about the first episode, but would be too long, only what I know is: now wait every week very exciting
Frankly if I just started watching now like some did because of Frozen without having seen the previous seasons, I would agree with you, they're cute and hot.
But I watched those seasons and I'm just so pissed of about how they changed Hook just like that and how CS is portrayed as like you said, so cute and happy because it's exactly what it shouldn't be for me (at least not right away). Hook was a vilain, his redemption arc was quasi no existent but now he's like a puppy cute boyfriend and everything he did in S2 and during the missing year was forgotten/forgiven for no real reasons, just because now he loves Emma.
I mean everyone considered him a hero (early S3) two days after he stole the bean and let everyone to die (yes he came back but without Emma and Regina it would have been too late). Emma never really talk to him about his past actions, we never saw her struggle because she has feelings for a former vilain, we never saw him really fight for his redemption, he just cares about Emma.
I'm really not against CS on paper, because former Vilain/hero couple, redemption for love, wanting to be better, struggling with feelings for a former enemies are one of my favorite type of ships. Lol I ship Spuffy, SwanQueen, Sky/Ward, Delena, Logan/Veronica,... who were/are all really big problematic ships at some point and are acknowledge as such when CS never was. In MY opinion, we never saw are real and long transition from enemies to lovers with them.
Hook never really fought for anything else other than getting Emma, not for redemption, not for forgiveness (seriously his apology to Belle was litteraly a joke...). We never saw Emma confronting herself for feeling that way about a former vilain etc.
For me, their relationship should have a problematic side (like Spike/Buffy, Damon/Elena, ...) that should be adressed in the show but it's not.
The problems Emma have right now are "external" to them (feeling guilty about Regina, trouble comiting with anyone) when it should be "internal" (like "I'm dating a former pirate/murderer/vilain, let's talk about it"). Hook should also struggle with himself like "am I a good person enough for her seeing who I was in the past" but instead of that he just think that he "deserve" her.
When they planted the seeds of CS in S2 I was really open and excited about it. But now, seeing how they handled it in S3 and seeing them happy and cute like that in S4 feels like a big fat lie to me. I use to LOVE Hook, I used to be really open to CS and done right I would have ship this like crazy but for me it wasn't.
I hope you can see my point of view about this and understand why people have issues with CS. What bothers me with CS probably doesn't bother a lot of people and that's totally ok BUT it's ok too to see issues with this ship and being angry that those issues were never adressed.
PS: I hope we can have a pleasant "debate" about this :)
I was kinda getting into Captain Swan into the first part of S3, but Hook's "wuuub" for Emma kinda sweeping under the rug everything shitty he did and now them getting domestic so soon is such a downer.
Look, I got past how obviously shoehorned as a love interest for Emma he was made, I still remember the "sexual tension" they kept slipping into his dialogue at the beginning, it was groan-worthy and unnecessary, Colin and Jennifer have amazing chemistry as it is. But it got so, well, bland and a bit nauseating.
Captain Swan worked for me because he brought a bit of danger, and there was the opportunity for a redemption storyline, and the contrast with Emma was amazing, but the moment that they made his love for her so, well, selfless and *~pure~* it lost all bite, and most egregious of it all, it glossed over their moral dichotomy, which was ripe for character development.
They had so much potential, but once again, potential for dept and intimacy is waved off in order to pander to the lowest common shipping denominator
A little underwhelming...I expected more, especially after that slow and peaceful finale. And that snow monster was awful...
It was so nice to see Rumple at Neal's grave. And really, Regina?! I don't want you to become bad again but that 'solution' in the end sounds lame to me. Good luck with that!
Don't forget they haven't just met and kissed and suddenly are in a relationship, they've known each other since season 3 and been through a lot together, they aren't in a relationship it's something that there is a possibility for that's all!.
I'm glad they are finally getting to who wrote the book - but this time travel thing again? even though it's not kind of time travel - or is it?! Loved the CaptainSwan scenes!.
I have the exact opposite feelings. If any of these shows got reinvented - it was definitely Revenge with the whole role-reversal and the time-jump. It really was refreshing to see everyone's new position in the Hamptons.
I absolutely loved it. It was great, a lot better than the last season premiere. But I have a question, which might seem a little stupid, but are the Frozen flashbacks (with the wedding, and Anna's journey to the enchanted forest) before Regina's first curse?!?
So... Am I the only one who didn't like the Anna casting? I got past Elsa cause, the thinks I didn't like about her portrayal were writers choice, but Anna... See, I loved the back-and-forth sentences in the movie, but in OUaT it felt so forced, almost rehearsed, I don't know. The actress felt much more childish than the Anna from the movie. like he was forcing herself to act cute and joyful. It really got me weird out, is not like I was expecting Kristen Bell, but Bell is bubbly naturally, so it's credible where the actress from Frozen looks cartoonish in her expressions and voice. I don't know, maybe I'm being too picky.
Awesome! Such a great premiere with lots of little great moments and good set up! Love the Rumbelle scenes and the Captain Swan scenes. Poor Regina, but glad she didn't fully cave in and glad Emma isn't giving up on her either. GH is a great Elsa, but I'm also enjoying the actress playing Anna too (much better than the Disney version)
Awesome doesn't even begin to describe that episode! It was just perfect! The casting was perfect, the writing was perfect, it was just all perfect! I really hope they can keep up the pace but we're definitely in for an amazing season :)
Also, as someone who hasn't seen 90% of the Disney movies can someone tell me what that hat was?
Sidenote: The whole "you're a monster"..."you're not a monster" thing reminded me a whole lot of Teen Wolf!
Awesome episode,I loved it!Frozen characters are so funny!I laughed a lot with Anna and Kristoff. Elsa is also great. I didn't expect Regina looking for the one who created the book. That's very interesting. And I wondet where Anna will be...
Did you miss what Hook said in season 2, he realised revenge was empty and didnt fulfil him when he thought he had it. Hook wasnt a villian as per say, he was a man avenge a death of his first love. And he did bad things but not to bad like the others. No one is forgetting anything but there is character development in Hook, unless you missed it... its said in the show, its said by the writers, the actors and so on.
Emma WAS NOT IN a relationship with Neal for over 11 yrs!!!!!! her feelings for Hook went beyond before she met Neal again. I dont understand why ppl think that... they were not in a relationship at all... for 11 yrs and the missing year!
Emma deserves that kind of love that he has for her. He still his Hook, but for Emma he is so much more! and i dont condemn that, i like that because she deserves that on the whole
I was so impressed with Pabbie like wow at the CGI at that. Elsa and Anna are so adorable you can feel their bond I adore Hook and Emma, i love that Hook totally calls her out on her avoidance because sometimes she needs that and also the "be patient" scene is Emma telling him wait for me... she wants this but she needs time to know how to be in this coz she isnt good with this but she wants this and also the crisis around them. I love how much belief he has in her and that needs to be there and also someone who embraces her magic and and is proud of her - that someone is not scared by it. Henry, Charming and Hook do that perfectly esp Hook. Oh and the parallels with the Snowman was so Kristoff/Anna from the movie with Hook/Emma
As for Regina, i dont know - i know its not nice again to have a love taken away from her JUST when she opened her heart but throughout this episode i kinda wanted her to actually realised that she was the one who wrong and murdered Robin's wife atleast acknowledge that
Hook has waited for Emma UNTIL she is ready, he never ever has said what about me and my feelings until this episode where he is sure he can say that now without her backing away... because something shifted in them. They are in a relationship deep down even if there is NO label to them. But they have been a team like always and thats what Emma needs someone who stands by her and fights by her and doesnt back away from that and her. I loved him for telling her that she needs to find the moments in her life to enjoy life because crisis is always here and its such a callback to what Charming told her about moments.
Hook has waited for Emma UNTIL she is ready [she is ready and she wants him and them - but she needs time to figure out how to do that], he never ever has said what about me and my feelings until this episode where he is sure he can say that now without her backing away [and she smiled]... because something shifted in them.
For a couple NOT together but something within them always since the moment they met.... they have been through alot and adventures and moments. They have had the longest build up and its so present which is needed for Emma's romance
They aren't in a relationship now but the all of the scenes together are showing the gradual development of what could be a loving relationship - that kiss was significant to show Emma warming up to Hook but it doesn't mean they're in love now - I'm a big fan of CaptainSwan but Emma's comment about Netflix was joking that's their relationship even before it was romantic they've always had a make fun of each other kind of relationship. Just realised I typed season 3 in my last post - they actually met in season 2 - more CaptainSwan I say they're great.
Loved the Frozen stuff,Anna & Elsa were well cast.Intertested to see who wrote the book.I bet when Regina has the writer rewrite the book, she undoes everyone else's happy ending but hers.
Regina is planning on finding the author of the book so he/she will rewrite Regina's story to give her a happy ending. If the villians get a happy ending, the heros will not get theirs. Since altering the book will change the past, the ripple effect will happen. Charming and Snow won't be together, Emma won't exist, Henry won't exist, Pan will still be alive to kidnap children, etc. Regina has not thought through her scheme very well. I think the fact Regina didn't shudder upon seeing through the Mirror how easily she was ready to kill Marian for really no reason and the fact she is scheming once again shows just how much darkness is still in her.
I found the episode kind of boring. I get that they need to build up the story, so I'm OK with it being a bit slow to start. I loved the glimpses of Snow and Emma worrying about Regina. Not sure about the 'find the writer of the book' thing - we'll see. One question - how does freezing a lock open it? That really bugged me when Elsa got into Mr. Gold's by freezing the lock. Oh, and who thought Sleepy being the DD was a good idea? lol
I thought it was a amazing episode! There was so much story line going on. I loved that we got to see my favorite frozen people in the first ep. Feel so bad for Regina she was trying so hard to fight being bad.my favorite part was Hook and Emma Netflix line it was so cute that he did not know what that was. I forget sometime that he still dose not know the really world yet. I can't wait till next week
But that is the thing for me, it seems that his love for Emma have overridden all of his previous characterization to the point it is a no-issue. Like as if all his actions to this point have no impact. Contrasting with Regina, who is not allowed to move at all and she keeps been set for this big redemption arcs and get pulled right back.
Why couldn't they find a middle point for those characters?
Emma deserves love, but she also deserves a well written narrative, and one without the other is nothing but pandering.
Season 1 was so good if with flaws, but at this point, I don't have any other way of putting it, this show has been dumbed down a lot.
They are in a relationship in a way that they havent gave a NAME or LABEL to yet. Because they know something is happening between them now that Emma has finally accepted it :)
I was really looking forward to Frozen due to the storylines and how it connects to OUAT (i dont look at it as omg its huge hit NO for me its why the story and parallels fit and they do fit :) ) Anna and Elsa are adorable. Great casting I love Emma/Hook. I just love that Emma has someone who loves her like she everything and that she has a someone who believes in her and so much loves and supports her and isnt scared by anything from her or around her. And i love Hook due to the fact that love has always been the main point to his character... his change to pirate, to hook to killian is always been love, loss of love and now love brought that back. I do like Beautiy and the Beast movie, im not really into RB but i think a viewer - i think anyone would be impressed with them putting in this dance, clothes, tune.
I still cant believe Regina - its so hard to feel for her when she hasnt YET accepted that she did something awful back then, that she wants to achieve her happy ending selfishly by trickery it seems. Whilst other ppl have fought hard, took hard paths.
She did acknowledge that though. She told Robin that Marian is right, and that she is a monster. Robin was the one who said that wasn't true, and it was his wife that she killed.
Regina did say it. She told Robin on the couch, that she is a monster and that Marian is right. She even asked him why he was apologizing to her; thus, accepting that she was the one in the wrong. It was then Robin who told her that isn't true and setting all of this into motion. Not saying that it's his fault she is acting desperate at this point. She did admit that she was the one who was wrong.
I watched Frozen this weekend for the first time preparing for Once and I personally loved both Frozen and this season premiere. I don't care much for Elsa but think they chose the perfect actress for Anna and like how they follow their movie characterization on the show. Overall this was a really good season premiere that reminded me why this show is still one of my favorites and I can't wait for the next episode.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
The end was perfect. Really mysterious and kept me on the edge of my seat, but the transition from the sister storyline to the Storybrooke storyline wasn't that good. They tried to pull of to much stuff in just one episode.

ReplyDeleteI wonder who wrote the book and I can't wait to find out who. And poor Regina.
It was amazing can't wait for rest of the season best moment Belle and Rumple dance so happy we finally going to get see who wrote the book
ReplyDeletePerfect!!
ReplyDeleteI loved Rumbelle Dance <3
And Captain Swan - cuties, can't wait for the next episode!!
Agreed :)

ReplyDeleteRegina seem desperate at this point. I hope they turn her around.

PS: I hope we can have a pleasant "debate" about this :)
loved the premiere..and That snowman was increidible ! i am sure they could do a great olaf LOL
ReplyDeleteI really hope Elizabeth Mitchell saves this show.....
ReplyDeleteRumple IS MICKEY MOUSE 8D
ReplyDeleteI was kinda getting into Captain Swan into the first part of S3, but Hook's "wuuub" for Emma kinda sweeping under the rug everything shitty he did and now them getting domestic so soon is such a downer.
ReplyDeleteLook, I got past how obviously shoehorned as a love interest for Emma he was made, I still remember the "sexual tension" they kept slipping into his dialogue at the beginning, it was groan-worthy and unnecessary, Colin and Jennifer have amazing chemistry as it is.
So it means there was someone more powerful or equally powerful to Gold but peaceful and second curse did not brought him back?
ReplyDeleteUnlike revenge, this premiere really delivered & lived up to the hype it created for months IMO.The show felt so fresh & elsa was amazing.
ReplyDeleteYen Sid, right/ He lived in the Kingdom Hearts. "Hearts" (for me) = Cora so he could learn Cora some magic?
ReplyDeleteI thought it was really good. I'm glad I had watched Frozen right before this season so I fully understood the references made to it.
ReplyDeleteYen Sid is from Fantasia
ReplyDeleteDid I wrote that he is from another movie? So why do you wrote me "Yen Sid is from Fantasia"?
ReplyDeleteA little underwhelming...I expected more, especially after that slow and peaceful finale. And that snow monster was awful...
ReplyDeleteIt was so nice to see Rumple at Neal's grave.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they are finally getting to who wrote the book - but this time travel thing again? even though it's not kind of time travel - or is it?! Loved the CaptainSwan scenes!.
ReplyDeleteAlso the hat - what is Rumplestiltskin going to do with it? Interesting!.
ReplyDeleteI have the exact opposite feelings. If any of these shows got reinvented - it was definitely Revenge with the whole role-reversal and the time-jump. It really was refreshing to see everyone's new position in the Hamptons.
ReplyDeleteWasn't Pinocchio?
ReplyDeleteIf not, then I'll bet in Merlin!
I hadn't got that, it is like the Frozen scene. Nice!!!
ReplyDeletewell said
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved it. It was great, a lot better than the last season premiere. But I have a question, which might seem a little stupid, but are the Frozen flashbacks (with the wedding, and Anna's journey to the enchanted forest) before Regina's first curse?!?
ReplyDeleteYes. Anna's journey was before Regina's first curse. Why? In second episode promo we'll have a scene how future Charming learn Anna about sword fight.
ReplyDeleteSo...
ReplyDeleteAh okay, thank you!! :)
ReplyDeleteApparently, the only one [who didn't like the Anna casting]. Anyway, *no sarcasm* Best regards.
ReplyDeleteKKKKKKKKKKK. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteAwesome doesn't even begin to describe that episode! It was just perfect! The casting was perfect, the writing was perfect, it was just all perfect! I really hope they can keep up the pace but we're definitely in for an amazing season :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, as someone who hasn't seen 90% of the Disney movies can someone tell me what that hat was?
Sidenote: The whole "you're a monster"..."you're not a monster" thing reminded me a whole lot of Teen Wolf!
It was as cringe worthy and cliched as I remember.
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode,I loved it!Frozen characters are so funny!I laughed a lot with Anna and Kristoff. Elsa is also great. I didn't expect Regina looking for the one who created the book. That's very interesting. And I wondet where Anna will be...
ReplyDeleteDid you miss what Hook said in season 2, he realised revenge was empty and didnt fulfil him when he thought he had it. Hook wasnt a villian as per say, he was a man avenge a death of his first love. And he did bad things but not to bad like the others. No one is forgetting anything but there is character development in Hook, unless you missed it... its said in the show, its said by the writers, the actors and so on.
ReplyDeleteEmma WAS NOT IN a relationship with Neal for over 11 yrs!!!!!! her feelings for Hook went beyond before she met Neal again. I dont understand why ppl think that... they were not in a relationship at all... for 11 yrs and the missing year!
ReplyDeleteEmma deserves that kind of love that he has for her. He still his Hook, but for Emma he is so much more! and i dont condemn that, i like that because she deserves that on the whole
ReplyDeleteIt was good, but there are somethings I didn't like much; I'll go into the details in my review- should be up by 4pm
ReplyDeleteI was so impressed with Pabbie like wow at the CGI at that.
ReplyDeleteElsa and Anna are so adorable you can feel their bond
I adore Hook and Emma, i love that Hook totally calls her out on her avoidance because sometimes she needs that and also the "be patient" scene is Emma telling him wait for me... she wants this but she needs time to know how to be in this coz she isnt good with this but she wants this and also the crisis around them.
ReplyDeleteHook has waited for Emma UNTIL she is ready [she is ready and she wants him and them - but she needs time to figure out how to do that], he never ever has said what about me and my feelings until this episode where he is sure he can say that now without her backing away [and she smiled]... because something shifted in them.
ReplyDeleteFor a couple NOT together but something within them always since the moment they met.... they have been through alot and adventures and moments. They have had the longest build up and its so present which is needed for Emma's romance
ReplyDeleteSo a show based on fairytales can't be cliche? Watching the wrong show to avoid cliche.
ReplyDeleteThanks and once again, BEST REGARTS. *no sarcasm*
ReplyDeleteA new season with new characters, excellent casting, acting and writing, new storylines and still the main topic here is CaptainSwan...
ReplyDeleteThey aren't in a relationship now but the all of the scenes together are showing the gradual development of what could be a loving relationship - that kiss was significant to show Emma warming up to Hook but it doesn't mean they're in love now - I'm a big fan of CaptainSwan but Emma's comment about Netflix was joking that's their relationship even before it was romantic they've always had a make fun of each other kind of relationship.
ReplyDeleteJust realised I typed season 3 in my last post - they actually met in season 2 - more CaptainSwan I say they're great.
Loved the Frozen stuff,Anna & Elsa were well cast.Intertested to see who wrote the book.I bet when Regina has the writer rewrite the book, she undoes everyone else's happy ending but hers.
ReplyDeleteRegina is planning on finding the author of the book so he/she will rewrite Regina's story to give her a happy ending.
ReplyDeleteI found the episode kind of boring. Oh, and who thought Sleepy being the DD was a good idea? lol
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a amazing episode!
ReplyDeleteBut that is the thing for me, it seems that his love for Emma have overridden all of his previous characterization to the point it is a no-issue. Like as if all his actions to this point have no impact. Contrasting with Regina, who is not allowed to move at all and she keeps been set for this big redemption arcs and get pulled right back.
ReplyDeleteWhy couldn't they find a middle point for those characters?
Emma deserves love, but she also deserves a well written narrative, and one without the other is nothing but pandering.
Season 1 was so good if with flaws, but at this point, I don't have any other way of putting it, this show has been dumbed down a lot.
A bit incensed, but pretty much I agree with what you are saying to a T
ReplyDeletelol sorry :) it was a little incensed yeah... maybe too much capital letters :p
ReplyDeleteThey are in a relationship in a way that they havent gave a NAME or LABEL to yet. Because they know something is happening between them now that Emma has finally accepted it :)
ReplyDeleteI can't shake off the feeling that Regina's rewriting the book will bring back Malificient.
ReplyDeleteI was really looking forward to Frozen due to the storylines and how it connects to OUAT (i dont look at it as omg its huge hit NO for me its why the story and parallels fit and they do fit :) )
ReplyDeleteAnna and Elsa are adorable. Great casting
I love Emma/Hook.
ReplyDeleteRegina did say it.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't need to be. It has nothing to do with the source material, but with the writing on the show.
ReplyDeleteAwesome start:) loads happening...going to be a great season I think. Loved the beauty and the beast scene. Perfect:)
ReplyDeleteI watched Frozen this weekend for the first time preparing for Once and I personally loved both Frozen and this season premiere. I don't care much for Elsa but think they chose the perfect actress for Anna and like how they follow their movie characterization on the show.
ReplyDeleteOverall this was a really good season premiere that reminded me why this show is still one of my favorites and I can't wait for the next episode.
Hey, I'm still watching, aren't I? I just wish it was better.
