Well that hurt. Even after I knew she was probably dead, I held onto the denial like Duke did (and fuck, that scene where Nathan had to break it to him hurt as did the unexpected montage).
The end was so sad too but I love that Duke is burying Jennifer at sea.
OK I just need a heads up am I going to be crying like this each time I watch an episode of this season? THAT REALLY HURT :( the scene when Nathan told Duke about Jennifer and the montage and when Gloria went to Duke and the look on Nathan's face THE WHOLE EPISODE and that last scene. I really hope Audrey is still there but I'm not sure if she was the one talking to Nathan or it was Mara messing with him so he wouldn't kill her.
I assume it was Audrey who stopped Mara from killing Nathan last episode. Though it would be interesting to see them both or all personalities merge together later, as someone else suggested earlier.
There is no Audrey, Lucy etc. They are all just one person. You can call it split personalities or whatever, but they are clearly not different persons. Like John said, it will prolly end with all personalities really merging together to break the 'curse'.
So glad we saw a peak of Audrey in this episode. I wasn't even convinced it was her until Mara's super-evil personality came out right afterwards. And aw, Nathan's been so heartbreaking in the past two episodes, pining over his loss of Audrey, and then being hopeful again when he saw Audrey telling him she's still there.
It's so sad that Jennifer's dead. And, so harsh to actually show Jennifer's dead corpse. I was still clinging to hope that Jennifer became some energy being, or got pulled into the other dimension, and won't be seen again until near the end of the show's run, to reunite with Duke. There was so much potential for her character to grow, as well as for Duke and Jennifer as a couple.
Duke's storyline, involving bleeding out past Troubles, seems to be an interesting twist. I'm intrigued to see where this goes. Love the friendship between Duke and Nathan, showcased when Nathan was the one to break the bad news about Jennifer's death to Duke, and almost died doing it.
I'm really intrigued by Dave's storyline. So much mystery! Also, Dave and Vince's brotherly relationship is so fun to watch. A little bummed that Vince was ousted as leader of the Guard, but I'm kinda okay with it, since the Guard always seemed shady, and almost like bad guys to me. Hopefully, this gives Vince and Dave lots of storyline involving solving Dave's mystery, and doesn't take too much screen time from the brothers, in order to spotlight Dwight more.
Can I say I hate Dwight now, without too many tomatoes being thrown at me?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI know Audrey is still in there what I meant is that I'm not sure if she can surface and take over and talk.
