I loved it I didn't know that Matt Miller, is associated with this show, for me that's an extra plus, he was a producer of one of my all time shows Chuck, so I'm really hopeful that this show is a success, and for one of my former favorite DA from Law & Order!!!
Watched the pilot preview last week, and enjoyed it thoroughly, much more than I'd expected. I'd hoped it would be a decent way to pass an hour, but found it genuinely engaging, and I did love that twist at the end especially. I hope the series can keep this up.
Watched it again tonight. that start scene always get me poor girl. But gonna use my old comment again. sry I loved it Again. Immortal Lead. Likeable Best-friend/(more) Abe Hot female detective and Funny assistant. Plus mystery Reminds me a lot of New Amsterdam And that's good for me, since I always wanted more of it. But this time seems like we will have an adversary of sorts, and more flashbacks which is always nice in between.
saw it before but still have seen it a bunch of times even tonight and i don't usually do that, the second immortal really surprised me and also that abe is henry's son so i'm going to keep watching, i also love that a chuck writer in on the show makes me love it even more
I liked it. As I mentioned before I couldn't help but compare it to New Amsterdam (and the shows do have numerous elements in common) but I also kept thinking about Quincy and Sherlock Holmes.
I'm not sure about the Evil 'Henry' element. I think it was superfluous.
What I liked most was the energy. Kind of felt more fun. Though it didn't supplant New Amsterdam for me.
I had no plans on checking this show out but after the ratings it got and the great reviews I've been hearing, I had to give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it. Ioan Gruffudd is the perfect choice to play the lead and the plot twist at the end was nice. Also, seeing all of Henry's past lives will be really cool to watch. Overall, what a fun little show. Looking forward to more episodes!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI've seen the Pilot a few times now and really like it. I love the ending and the twist of Abe being Henry's adopted son. :)
ReplyDeleteLoved it.

ReplyDelete"It's like they're talking to him." I'd like to think this was a Pushing Daisies reference.
ReplyDeleteI really loved the pilot. Didn't think I would enjoy it that much.
ReplyDeleteDecent pilot, lots of room for growth and potential. It's definitely on my list!
ReplyDeleteI still think New Amsterdam was better though.... ;P

I really didn't expect to like this one... but I did, quite a lot actually. The cast is good, too.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed it :)
