hmmm a bit confusing to the feel between the 2 eps: I liked that Lexi wasn't given an easy path to redemption by the group and I did like the father/daughter dream sequence even though it felt forced a bit, but seeing how they needed to get things in it was understandable. the faceoff with the burned overlord was predictable and allowed Lexi to get her redemption by dying a hero's death (even though I wouldn't mind her somehow surviving to join her family)... the second ep really had an odd feel/pacing to it particularly during the attack of the "skitterizing fog bomb": it felt like a cheesy b movie complete with: dumb characters - Dingaan just told everyone about the threat of the fog and that one girl just stood there and watched it until she was taken - (I was disappointed as we were never shown the skitters and what they did after they were taken, you'd think that the new skitters would try to attack the survivors/help the fog find new victims), we also got some semi-cornball humor between Pope/Dingaan/Sarah (who "just happened to pop back in...)during their scenes as well as the Ben/Hal/Maggie ("nice to see you working so well together") and the somewhat over the top "last stand and chant defiantly til it's over" sequence with Dan/Matt/Anne (whose flame thrower just "happened" to run out at the worst possible moment...) and then the motivating rallying by the survivors to keep fighting the good fight... really corny.. but overall I gave it a great as I was entertained and I am looking forward to what I guess will be the final season... I do wonder what/who was Tom abducted by.... is this the "threat" that the burned overlord was hinting about to Tom before? are they allies or an even bigger threat.... I guess we'll just have to wait and see next summer
The ending was the weirdest :D Tom seeing a NEW? kind of alien? And I though I heard Lexis voice in that sequence... Tom said "OMG, You're, you're beautiful" so I think the alien was Tom's deceased (ex)wife and Tom recognized her even though she doesn't look like a human, after all this is a science fiction show so anything is possible... Great episodes especially the finale! I can't wait to get some answers and to see how this epic series wraps up! :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
