What a great season premiere!! I really hope Red burns down Berlin next week!!!! I'm glad to see Krysten Ritter from Apt 23 and Breaking Bad guest starring. I knew her character was a bad girl.
I personally haven't seen it unless an actor is truly passionate and dedicated to their respective show. Kevin Spacey has a credit on House of Cards because he was the one who helped it get started. Spader speaks to the creators all the time, showing his passion for this character.
Fantastic premiere! Oh please let that be Tom stalking Liz! And the opening scene was so fun! -Little bits of Alias too! - pseudo sleeper agent + doppelganger twisted twin murder + finger in a box! I think this will be a great season!
Agree on all your points. The guest cast was excellent. I'm amazed Berlin and Reddington are going to meet face to face so early in the season. I definitely didn't see that coming
Oh yeah I had almost forgot about that talk he had with Cooper in his home. Cancer was the first thing that popped in my head when Reddington said that he knows about the diagnosis that he found out when he was in the hospital.
ahhhh good to have Red and bunch back in our lives again.... loved the little twists in the ep with Lord Baltimore being Krysten R with dissociated personalities, and setting the stage for the games to come between Red and Berlin. Glad the team is back together and that Liz actually has her real hair
Absolutely buzzing after that episode, I kinda saw the split personality thing coming but I didn't care! I can see Mary Louise Parker as the wife, I hope she has more to her then being a resentful but scared ex wife, she must be pretty special individual to be Reds wife. Plus when she talked about her daughter was that her daughter with Red? She never mentioned what happened to her which I thought she might have if she died?
The pace, the twists, the dialogue, the guest stars (!!!), everything was on point.
James Spader was absolutely brilliant as always and it's interesting to see that Berlin is till now the only big bad that really seems to worry Red. I can't wait to know more about what happened between these two.
A new beginning for Lizzie? New hair cut (bye wig!), divorce and a bright future ahead? Well the person who's stalking her might not agree with that. I hope it's not Tom though. I think everybody right now is thinking about him and honestly it'd be a little predictable. Please writers, suprise us!
I'm not that excited about Ressler's possible pills addiction storyline, I wanted something...more?! I don't know, I think he has potential but they always waste it.
Good to see Cooper back but considering what Red said about his diagnosis it might not be for long.
I think we all know Tom will be back since he has a Season 2 promo photo, but it is way too predictable to have him watching Liz now. They certainly did attempt to make people think it was Tom (or at least someone connected to Berlin).
I'm hoping that was purposeful misdirection like they did throughout Season 1 and that the stalker may be working for someone else entirely. Maybe the Alliance even?
amazing premiere, i wish i could bring myself to care about red's ex-wife but i just can't sorry, wow liz looks beautiful, i don't usually objectify women but that first scene with liz WOWZA, damn it ressler better no tbecome an addict, and cooper better not be terminal, and the blacklist still owns it with the music loved all the music except for the trigger it just creeped me out, figured the girl was lord baltimore but great performance by the actress
The Blacklist is back and Monday nights are alive again! - Liz appears to be in top form. The end chase scene with Liz was pretty "hardcore". - the "team" is back together.............more or less. - Red is up to his @$$ in trouble, but the former Mrs. Reddington is in for "a world of hurts". - perfect actor cast to play Berlin. The actor can go toe 2 toe in scenes with James Spader. Lord Baltimore is a really cool villain and a great starter for the season 2 premiere. How do you charge and convict someone with that kind of "condition" for crimes committed? 4 RED'S TOP TEN LIST, I am still Nobody!!!
So happy to have Red & Liz back! What a good premiere it was too!
Loved watching Liz shed her old self. Getting more fit, cutting her hair, and getting that divorce! Bye Bye Old,Hello to the new me! Now all she needs a permanent place to live to call home.
On cable especially TNT,USA & SyFy almost all of there popular shows like White Collar, Covert Affairs, Falling Skies, Eureka, In Plain Sight etc, etc. Also Bones and a few other shows on Broadcast channels are producers. In James Spader case he was in on The Blacklist from the beginning and had a lot of imput in the making of the show, besides his character.
It was a fantastic premiere! I'm not sure if that was Tom? I remember reading an interview with the producers and they said Tom wouldn't be around for the first half of the season. We wouldn't see him but feel his presence so it could be him or someone else?
Are U kidding me? That was a hell of an episode. I loved it. It's much more raw than the first season and this is definitely an approvement. Loved how Liz is freed from her awful wig! Glad Donald is back....God, I can't wait 'till next episode. This is gonna be a hell of ride!
I think it was a pretty good season premiere. They set up a lot of interesting things for the season, so I'm looking forward to the rest of Season 2. :)
1. Berlin. So far he is not doing it for me. The accent, the clothes, the backstory, the staying at sleazy motels, etc. He is difficult to understand. Sorry fans of the actor, but the actual character so far does not intrigue me. If this were Dancing With the Stars: Blacklister Edition, he would be one of the first voted off.
2. Tom is watching Liz I believe. I bet at the behest of one Raymond Reddington. There is your mid-season twist.
3. Too many popular actors are guesting. Just a thought.
4. That said, I am looking forward to seeing Pee Wee Herman mid-season.
5. The smoke in the beginning looked like the smoke monster from Lost!
6. Liz is hot with short hair. Loved her little dance when Cooper came back to work. More so than her in her underwear...strange, I know.
7. Masood Lady. I must have missed something...why was she in this episode again?
Blacklist is my new favorite show, since Carver has changed SPN so much it is like a new series. I am in love with Red, my new favorite character, James Spader is hot and sexy. ;) Great start to the season.
I doubt they will reveal it for a while, but the glasses and the execution of those scenes next to Liz looking at Tom photo or talking about Tom seemed an indication to me...but It will probably take till episode 10 for the reveal! XD
How i missed The Blacklist. WHAT AN EPISODE! The way Rowan changed personas was brilliant! Cooper has cancer? GOD the luck he has! i'm happy he is back. Berlin is going for Red and now has his ex-wife, now we will know a little bit more of him. I dont like they are going the "pills" route with Ressler. And im calling it's Tom who is watching Liz but plot twist it's Liz who told him to protect her? (yeah let me dream about that and believe Tom is a good guy now). Great way to start this new season.
Totally agree about Ressler. I love the character and am glad he is getting some sort of story but the drug thing....I'm not so sure....I know Diego will do it justice, but a strung-out Ressler is only good if he's going to be all tattooed up and riding around on a Harley like Sons of Anarchy. Agent Ressler, FBI Bad Ass is above all that and is a principled man, so, it's a stretch that he'd become an addict.
I just want to see more of Ressler. I'm glad Aram is more involved in the stories now and am not thrilled with the Massod lady. Meh...who cares about her....
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
The Blacklist is Back!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great season premiere!! I really hope Red burns down Berlin next week!!!! I'm glad to see Krysten Ritter from Apt 23 and Breaking Bad guest starring. I knew her character was a bad girl.
THAT WAS AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteTHE DIALOGUE. THE ACTING. THE GOOD-BYE TO THE DAMNED WIG. THE BLACKLIST IS BACK!
And that promo was amazing. Pure amazing. I also like how James Spader has been promoted to executive-producer. Great for him!
I think it is pretty common for lead actor to have Producer title........not every show yet to have their lead actor in a producer capacity yet
ReplyDeleteI personally haven't seen it unless an actor is truly passionate and dedicated to their respective show. Kevin Spacey has a credit on House of Cards because he was the one who helped it get started. Spader speaks to the creators all the time, showing his passion for this character.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great premiere episode. I have high hopes for a strong sophomore season. Amazing stuff.
ReplyDeleteIf they want to have a scene with Liz in her underwear in every season premiere, I'm cool with that. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteFantastic premiere! Oh please let that be Tom stalking Liz! And the opening scene was so fun! -Little bits of Alias too! - pseudo sleeper agent + doppelganger twisted twin murder + finger in a box! I think this will be a great season!

ReplyDeleteIt nice that Cooper is back even though he is likely cripple for a while.......at least cooper wasn't force to retire due to his injury......
ReplyDeleteOh yeah I had almost forgot about that talk he had with Cooper in his home. Cancer was the first thing that popped in my head when Reddington said that he knows about the diagnosis that he found out when he was in the hospital.

Agreed on Liz's watcher hopefully not being Tom!

RED is BACK. Liz without her wig like many saw was a nice. And she got herself a disguised stacker.
ReplyDeleteI liked the Mossad agent would be nice to see her again. Probably will.
And Red's wife! Mary-Louise Parker I found that funny since she was also in the Movie Red.
And Shiit, Berlin gonna give her back in pieces. Gonna be sad unless Red does something next week.
Anyway great start to the season, look forward to it.

Broke off and watched it this morning with my coffee. I am more confused but it was awesome.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to have Red & Liz back! What a good premiere it was too!

ReplyDeleteLOL on the smoke CGI. I told my wife, hey look, they have incorporated Lost's smoke monster.

ReplyDeleteLoved this episode and the preview for the next episode. Especially because in a brief moment I saw husband keen. Glad that the blacklist is back
ReplyDeleteHe is Co-Executive Producers. James Spader is good but not that good lol.
ReplyDeleteHow i missed The Blacklist. WHAT AN EPISODE!

It's crazy how they manage to find the perfect song every time
ReplyDeleteIt reminded me of Supernatural, back in the BC (before Carver) days, they always had great music that went with the scene.
ReplyDeleteI haven't really watched Supernatural, but I do know how successful Eye of the Tiger was ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL, yeah that was great, the best part was Jensen's outtake.
ReplyDelete
