---|---|---|---|---|
Someone in school when shouldn't be | Deaton is no help at all | Recurring character bleeds | Lydia stares blankly into space | DoucheDad flashes his badge |
Peter appears extra crispy | A party breaks out | Big plot twist | Malia looks confused and badass | Someone lies |
Kira brings out a sword | Someone kisses | Derek frowns | Scott/Stiles asks if someone's okay | Kira acts awkward or stutters |
Derek gets beat up or tortured | Someone's shirtless (Bonus if NOT Derek) | Coach terrorizes students | Awkward talk in locker room | A parent is helpful |
Someone bleeds on hospital floor | Someone growls | Liam gets wet | Scott is thrown against a wall | Someone dies in school, woods, or hospital |
Since there were only 4 scenes I found tolerable, today's poll is super easy. Mama McCall's blodd money speech wins with Parrish's speech, Sheriff's dinner invite, and Malia getting a C- of which Lydia is unimpressed take all other awards.
ReplyDeleteOne of my best friends is currently watching her recording and I'm getting screaming emails from her. :-) In one she was screaming about someone watching a movie (presumably to stop them from doing something massively stupid. My bet is she's ranting about the attack in the loft. - She was so upset at what she was seeing that she completely forgot to tell me *what* she was seeing. )
ReplyDeleteMama McCall wins for me. Parish's scene is my runner up (he earned a raise in my book) I'd pick the Derek scene but for the situation reactions as opposed to Derek declaring it was Peter's money. (Peter....off shore bank)
ReplyDeleteI loved when Malia tried to wake Stiles up and had to end up kissing him to make him coherent! If a girl is willing to kiss you with morning breath, she's a keeper! lol! I also loved when Stiles's dad offered to take them out to dinner, Parrish rescuing Argent, and Scott returning what he thought was Derek's money to him. The look on Scott's face when Derek told him he was standing on his money and Scott made the comment "there's another vault" and looked down! lol! So there were a few good momments in an otherwise very dark episode. As much as I use to like Peter he has to go! What he did to Chris was too much! I hope and pray he and Kate die in the finale because I haven't been able to stand her since day 1.
ReplyDeleteI see I wasn't alone in favoring the Parrish reveal. I'm looking forward to seeing what it means. I don't think he's a werefox, or just a werefox if he is one.
ReplyDeleteMalia waking up Stiles. it was so adorable
ReplyDeleteNot sure about favorite scene, but my favorite line definitily was "Deer!" after Sherriff Stilinski asked Malia what her favorite food was. ;)
ReplyDeleteWent with Sheriff takes Stiles and Malia out for pizza
ReplyDeleteVoted for Parrish and his orange eyes! I also loved Scott and Mama McCall's scene, as usual. Actually I loved all the storylines except for the scenes with Peter or with Kate. I used to like Peter as a smart, sassy and manipulative villain who had a lot of self control, now he just seems so mad and out of character to me. And Kate...I don't know, she just wasn't convincing as a supernatural creature in that last scene with Scott for me.
ReplyDeleteI really hope Kate Argent stays dead this time. Her character is nonsensical and has worn out her welcome.
ReplyDeleteAmen and preach it. I actually timed the Liam scenes in the rewatch and he was in slightly over 1/4 of the episode and of the time he was on screen only about 50 seconds was NOT directly about his PTSD or someone trying to reassure him. Ugh! In contrast, Lydia was on screen for 1 minute and 32 seconds. Instead of getting any follow-up to her showing up screaming at Derek's loft, even a reaction shot from Derek or Braeden, we get 3 scenes of Liam and Mason. Instead of watching her use her banshee powers to talk to Deaton, we get Stiles reassuring Liam. Instead of watching Deaton wake up because of her or even a longer take of the classroom scene, we freaking get Tall Prep Blond reassuring Liam. Are you freaking kidding me? If this was supposed to make me more sympathetic to Liam, it had the opposite effect. I have never wanted him to die more. If he doesn't go to Mexico and attack Scott in berserker form then there is even less reason to constantly have his breakdown splayed across my TV.
ReplyDeleteI think the dragon theory could be very interesting.
ReplyDeleteHa! That was my second favorite after Mama McCall saying, "Oh Scott, you can save people's lives but
ReplyDeleteyou cannot save them from life.
Life is full of
struggles."
Kate has been a problem since her resurrection. It doesn't make one bit of sense to do so as so far she hasn't really added anything. She killed a bunch of assassins and opened the vault but there are other ways they could have had the same results without her.
ReplyDeleteI actually disliked Kate from her first episode, surprising since I lvoe kick butt females, so hearing she was coming back again was a major turn-off for me. She's been even worse than I expected. I think it's time to behead, salt, and burn her. She never needs to come back.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could like your reply more than once haha. This episode made me dislike that character even more. I just don't give a crap about that guy. The only reason I could justify them forcing him down our throats so much is if Scott is going to die and Liam is going to be the new big wolf in Teen Wolf. But if that happens I'm gone. I hate how Lydia is treated to be honest. She is by far (in my opinion) the most interesting character, yet she is constantly under used. Luckily Malia has grown on me as I wasn't a fan of her at the start. But Liam? Nah. He's gotta go. He went from being extremely arrogant when he arrived, to being whiny every time we see him. At least when Jackson was annoying me he had funny one liners that endured me to him. But with Liam he's just constantly getting shoved in our faces at the cost of characters I do like getting shafted (as you so brilliantly deconstructed for us haha).
ReplyDeleteLiam is a bit boring right now but he's fine. I enjoyed him in this episode more so than the last few he's been in... I think they are slowly introducing us to younger characters so that in a few years, even if the show still mainly is focused on Scott they can still have "teen wolves" in the show. I don't mind, some of them will be gone before you realize it and so far they all have potential. Plus, Liam in particular is important to Scott's arc as an Alpha, and I love their scenes together.
ReplyDeleteThe opening scenes with Deaton. We get too little of him. And the guy who opened his third eye was GREAT I really, really hope he's a recurring character in season 5. (Also took me days to figure out where I knew him from...Point Pleasant, he's gotten hotter with age lol.) Also, I didn't care that much during most of Liam's scenes but the one where he imagines the Beserker in the room with him was one of the most tense scenes they've had all season, I had no idea whether he was imagining it or was only thinking he was imagining it
ReplyDeleteI'm currently writing the recap (very, very slowly) and one of my wishes from this episode is to see more of Triclops too. He's the most intriguing villain we've had all season.
ReplyDeleteExactly. I don't understand what the writers had in mind with Kate's resurrection, I keep waiting for a big twist or revelation that could give sense to her showing up here and there...
ReplyDeleteThat's so weird. I wasn't looking at the theories, but I was just thinking yesterday that it would be funny if Parrish turned out to be a weredragon or something. The problem is that we've only seen him escape death by fire. Of course a dragon would probably survive just about anything.
ReplyDeleteParrish and Argent scenes and the pizza scene lol
ReplyDeleteTHIS times 200.
ReplyDeleteKira is basically a human Pokemon.
