Very excited about the new season with how things were left last year. I hope though they focus mostly on 1,2 main threats storylines, rather than helping individual people. That gets kinda tedious for me. I reckon it would be even worse if I didn't let some episodes pile up before watching them.
If Person of Interest is such a fabulous drama, WHY did its rating in the 18-49 demographic DECREASE from 2.9 for season two to 1.96 for season three? Overall viewership decreased 17.97%(total) for season three. Shouldn't a television show gain viewers instead of losing them? Why did so many people STOP watching the show? Here's a hint: Not because they are stupid and unable to comprehend the intricacies of the storylines and the sci-fi complexity. Also, there have been numerous suggestions that "potential" viewers, who absolutely cannot contain themselves because of the opportunity to be a part of the Person of Interest phenomenon and its rabid success, take the time to view as many previous episodes as possible in order to have some semblance of an idea of what the show is about. So... if anyone interested has 40 or so hours to invest in paying attention to Person of Interest reruns, please do this, by all means. If you do not make this investment, you probably will be....lost during season four. Enjoy !
And yet you still invest your time writing out a paragraph to complain about it.
The demos for NCIS went down from season 10 in season 11. NCIS LA went down from season 4 in season 5. Criminal Minds went down from season 8 in season 9. Elementary went down from season 1 in season 2. Hawaii 5-0 went down from season 3 in season 4. CSI went down a little bit from season 13 in season 14. All of these are CBS dramas that lost viewers last season. Yes, in theory tv shows should gain viewers instead of losing them, but does it always happen? No.
If the ratings were to drop to CW levels then there would be cause for concern on the POI front. But this is far from drastic imo. Person of Interest has developed into a much smarter, more sophisticated and intense show.
I think Fusco's line to Reese is a reason why Samaritan didn't bother to locate Fusco. While he's an ally to "Team Machine", he is also the only person on the team that doesn't know about the machine.
A lost of ratings, an increase of ratings…it honestly says literally NOTHING about a show's quality. Why is a show like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. getting like triple the amount of ratings as Arrow? There is no definite answer to why some shows garner more ratings than another. Imo, POI is an interesting show, but someone a show delivers storylines that others just fine boring, simply put.
well decima dude's insane and roots sort of a good guy now well i'm back to watching person of interest and vigilance is down so now the big bad's samaritan
The show was on the slide and suffered the major part of its audience loss in the second half of the 2nd season, when there were no timeslot change. In S3 in the new timeslot it was relatively steady, with only a slight, but typical decrease.
CBS had jumped on the online-airing bandwagon only last year, that also might have some negative effect on the ratings, among the many other things. But first and last: the number of the audience says close to nothing about the quality of a show.
Oh, good grief, do you have nothing better to do with your time than to keep re-posting the same things over and over? I think you've shared this several times now. OK, we get it. You no longer like this show, Fine. Stop watching and have a nice life.
You totally didn't understand what I am talking about. Ratings has nothing to do with how good of a show is. If Person of Interest lost any ratings, that has nothing do with the quality decreasing at all. As I brought up with AoS, this is a show that gets better ratings than Arrow, but it's also a show that, imo, shouldn't have even been made or is anymore interesting than Arrow.
I'd love to watch it, but according to my attempts to view this, the video has been removed. Too bad, these ultimate look backs are usually quite good.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
For crying out loud woman, the show airs on TUESDAY, not Thursday. The second day.
ReplyDeleteMonday: One Day.
Tuesday: TWO Day.
Is that so hard?
Anyways, nice compilation.
Lol. CBS don't even know about their own shows. "Thursdays this fall" smh
ReplyDeleteGot chills watching this. Had forgotten just how much I love this show. Bring on the new season. NOW.

I wondered about that....Thought maybe they were changing it again.
ReplyDeleteIt gave me tears again, seeing Carter's death once more.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised if they do move Bones at some point. Especially once they start tweaking and cancelling shows.
ReplyDeleteBut we were talking about POI here. I wouldn't be surprised if Bones jumps around again. They've done that a LOT.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!! I looked at your name and thought about Bones not POI! Hahaha! Can't take me anywhere!
ReplyDeleteI thought that might have distracted you from the actual comment. No problem! Bones is my all time favorite, but POI is right up there with it now.
