Agreed! I just started catching up on this show like 3 days ago and I'am obsessed. The acting, the scenery, the dialogue are all fantastic. I have been pleasantly surprised by this show!
I absolutely loathe the theme song. :-) It is so far from my personal taste that I can't determine if it's well done or not. I keep thinking..it proves I am not a fan of Scottish ballads.
Wow, really?! I honestly think it's one of the best theme songs I have ever heard. It has this haunting quality to it that I'am always singing it in my head haha. I guess Scottish ballads are really not for everyone.
Its official, this episode turned me into a full fledged Outlander junkie. "Rent" has been the best episode for me so far, it combined all of the strengths of the series. The pacing, the acting, the production design, the dialogue, the costumes, makeup and hair were all fantastic. The scenery only make the atmosphere feel even more authentic and magical. I love that this show focuses on the stories, the main characters and the society they live in. It talks about politics, religion, feminism, war, etc., and it does so in a way which is both compelling and directly contrasted in its main characters. Critics watched the first six episodes of this show and have said that episode 6 is the highlight, its where the show really steps up its game. After "Rent", I will be waiting in anticipation all week. "Rent" gets an A from me!!!!
Next week is the long awaited and critically praised episode 6(all critics have hailed it as epic and game changing). Its going to be a nail bitter, color me intrigued.
The woman in the crowd is not Claire. And thinking about what happens in the book, I'm pretty sure this is a flashback and that woman is a very particular person.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, Randal will never miss an opportunity to spent some quality time with Jamie.
ReplyDeleteIt looks pretty real. Claire is crying.
