"That dog was the final gift from my dying wife", delivered with a straight face — Quote of the Year right there.
It's like Action movie 101 with all those one-liners ("this is personal", "got out [...] pull back in", "I'm back") and the thin, revenge plotline, but the most important thing is that they seem to have fun with the genre, it looks pretty well shot and really entertaining, and that supporting cast is solid (Ian McShane, Jason Isaacs, Lance Reddick, Adrianne Palicki, Willem Dafoe, Bridget Moynahan, John Leguizamo). Maybe it will be like the first Taken : predictible, cheesy, sort of stupid, but also lots of fun (though I didn't like it nearly as much as many people seem to). I think I will see it.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Looks like it could be a decent action film. Puppy :(
