Arrow - They've amped up the romance. It's more sexual this year. SERIOUSLY!!! Arrow needs to keep the romance aspect of the show on down low. That is their weak point. This has me worried.
ReplyDeleteDitto. Not a fan of "shipping" never have been never will be.
ReplyDeleteIt's not a matter of shipping or rabid audience for me. The problem is Arrow has never written a romance well. In fact they somehow are able to make the characters unlikable after the romance story line. So they need to keep romance in the background and concentrate on their strengths.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I hope Colton just said that because he didn't want to spoil anything important and not because that will be a focus on the show.
ReplyDeleteI also hate shipping and how it can take over a show lol.
Agreed. But I'm still doubtful of Arrow becoming more romance focused, because in spite of a great deal of the marketing campaign, given from we've seen and heard of this season (and the producers' thoughts on such things happening) I doubt it'll be that much of the show in total (that and Arrow seems to realize when to shift focus off a romance well enough.
ReplyDeleteTVD: I'm looking forward to the juicy Stefan-and-Damon-involved SLs that lead to flashbacks. It seems like some serious things will go down that might have originated with Stefan and Damon's behavior in the old days. I think we're getting closer to the deal-breaker that leads to Elena separating from them, although I'm pretty sure she won't get to that place until one of them kills or gets Jeremy killed.
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised that Matt and Enzo will have a problem with each other. After reading this, I think Caroline is the one Enzo will make out with and Tripp will turn out to be Matt's father. Matt will most likely join the cult. He's already expressed a need to live in a town without vampires, and if Tripp is Matt's father, then Tripp is Matt's only family. No one knows or wants to know where Matt's mother went. If Enzo will be taking it hard that Damon is gone, then I can see why Enzo would lead Caroline straight to Stefan and his new girlfriend. It sounds like Ivy won't be the human companion who shows up with Enzo. That story could have changed with a re-write, or the character could have such a small part that it wasn't worth mentioning in spoilers to begin with. Enzo is a trouble-making, tricky guy. He'll probably get close enough to Caroline to want to help her break the spell, too.
I hope so. Anyway we can know for certain in a week. I'm really excited for this show.
ReplyDeleteAs am I.
ReplyDeleteI think the flashbacks are to the 1990s (in the pilot Stefan commented that the last time he saw Damon was 15 years earlier so I think that's what we'll be seeing - not the old days in the 1800s).
ReplyDeleteIm in for those TVD flashbacks, their dinamic outside the Elenea drama is good.
ReplyDeleteI was just about to mention the timeline of the flashback. It's the 90's.It was confirmed a while ago.
ReplyDeleteJeremy has died so many times,i really doubt by the time he actually dies, whether it will have any impact on the viewers at all!
ReplyDeleteViewers will mostly be glad to see Jeremy go, but his death would definitely have an impact on Elena.
ReplyDeleteHe serves as an eye-candy for me,he can stay for me in the show!LOL!
ReplyDeleteI'll just enjoy the flashbacks. The time period doesn't matter to me. There are still a lot of storylines coming from whatever happened the last time Stefan and Damon saw each other, which I find intriguing. All I can remember for certain is that Damon's humanity was turned off. The only backstory I can remember that took place in the 1990s was Mikael getting desiccated for hunting Elena. It probably isn't about that, though. I've always wondered if Stefan was completely honest about how long he knew about Elena, and the real reason he came back to Mystic Falls. I've also wondered if Klaus knew about Elena longer than anyone realized. There's also the question of how a genius scientist would slip off a bridge in his car and drown to death in a flash flood. That doesn't make much sense, especially considering the fact that Damon killed people connected to Augustine and he arrived in town right before Grayson and Miranda died. Another thing I questioned was Jonathan Gilbert showing up and saying he was Elena's father right when she started looking for her father. It was too convenient. Isobel backing John up is irrelevant because she literally had no feelings.
ReplyDeleteThis season is supposed to take us back to Season 1 and SLs from that season appear to be coming back again. I'm curious to see if we'll find out that the things that were revealed in Season 1, and maybe even Season 2 as well, were completely untrue. The ending to this series was devised a long time ago partly by the same creative man who wrote the movie "Scream." Maybe as fans we'll find out that whatever we thought we knew about these characters, we didn't know anything.
What people like Jeremy lol. He's eye candy.
ReplyDeleteArrow-Idk whether to believe him or not. I'm torn. Idk if i'm excited about this, it's all good and nice and all. But this is an action series. I don't want TOO MUCH sex/sex talk. But on the topic, i know they're not talking about Oliver and Felicity, the romance sure, but not the sex which i'm glad about. B/c i don't want them too, it's too soon, it's not their time. Diggle and Lyla are having a baby, they're not having sex anytime soon. Lol scratch that off as an option. It could be Thea and this new guy, that would be interesting. Maybe Quentin found someone? That'd be nice.
