Does anyone else have old posts pop back up to the top??? This was posted hours ago and had slipped down behind maybe 5 or 6 newer posts and now it's back up the top like it's the newest news again. I don't like that old posts do this :/ Is it just me?
We use complex scripts to arrange / bump / re-tweet out based on on current site activity, popular shows and trending content based on external referrers and number of comments. These scripts will move posts around and push down posts that are re-bumped that are no in the queue.
It's all relative, for example if the system decides that 5 posts should be pushed above 1, rather than move 5 posts above the 1 article, the system moves just 1 article below the 5. It's a system I've been playing with for nearly 2 months and it's dramatically increased the pageviews for popular articles and increased commenting and interaction.
Yep, we're constanting tweaking the formula to hopefully reduce the amount of stuff that gets moved a lot, so expect things to improve over the next couple of weeks as the system settles down.
NOTE: If you follow us on Facebook or via the RSS Feeds, they will appear in original posted order. Also the new android app that is coming soon will also be in original posted order.
Maybe he did cut his hair out of grief, something that didn't even cross my mind! Last time i saw him with his hair very short was 7 or 8 yrs ago, can't wait to see him (without hat)!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Thanks for explaining. I might hate it but I'm glad it at least improves the number of comments/reads.

ReplyDeleteMaybe Duke cut his hair out of grief for Jennifer's death? Or, maybe he just wanted a change. Either way, I think he looks good.
