I only watched the first ep of Broadchurch and the initial set ups of the characters sound exactly the same to what I can recall... I do hope that the writing diverges away from the original so that it wont be an exact carbon copy so a fan of the original can enjoy this show as well. as I understand that the original was excellent, this show will already be under the gun in comparisons already...
Watched the first 3 episode already. Haven't watched Bradchurch, but I found Gracepoint pretty good. Gonna watch the next 4 episodes in the next few days.
I met the man. There was a bar/restaurant (Tommy Makem's) next to where i worked which became my second home when i had to work late or early come to think of it.No, just kidding!
Anyway i was in there a lot and when Nick was in NY he went to Tommy Makem's. I met him in passing since we were right next to each other and listened to the stories he told. If he wasn't so drunk he'd be a great story teller.I think in total i saw him a dozen times there and we spoke every once in awhile
I met a lot of celebrities,TV actors and movie stars when i was working in NYC.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteBBC America bought the rights to air it in the US and aired it last year. FOX probably wanted to make its own Americanized version of it.
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that the story isn't the same as Broadchurch.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that's Nick Nolte! Man has he changed since the days we hung out in the same bar..
ReplyDeleteWait, what????
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to checking, this show
ReplyDeleteOut, short and sweet, should be nice!
that's good to hear... thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou know Nick Nolte or am I missing an inside joke or something in the sneak peek (which I didn't watch yet)???????

I think you mean Broadchurch? Gracepoint doesn't start airing till October.
ReplyDeleteThe marketing gurus must have concluded they could make more money airing the story with an alternate ending.
ReplyDeleteNo, I mean Gracepoint. I have access to the screeners for the first 7 episodes (so far).
ReplyDeleteI think they were referring to you comment
ReplyDelete"Haven't watched Bradchurch"
Don't think so as they said "Gracepoint doesn't start airing till October."
ReplyDeletelol at that typo, tho.
Actually the story is exactly the same as in Broadchurch only the end is different.
ReplyDeleteNeat! I never met anyone famous. That must of been something :D
