A NEW ONE-HOUR COMEDY ON THE CW — Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) is a driven young woman studying to become a teacher, nursing a dream to be a writer, and supporting herself with a job at a hot new Miami hotel. All the years of watching telenovelas with the two women who raised her – her sexy, young-at-heart mother, Xiomara (Andrea Navedo) and her still-devout grandmother, Alba (Ivonne Coll) – have given Jane a slightly unrealistic view of romance, but her wonderful fiancé, Michael (Brett Dier), is supportive and even understands her decision to “save herself” until marriage. All of Jane’s meticulous life plans are turned upside down, however, when she sees her doctor for a routine check-up and is accidentally artificially inseminated with a specimen meant for someone else. Now, Jane is faced with the most important decisions of her life – a life that has suddenly become as dramatic, complicated and unpredictable as the telenovelas she has always loved. Justin Baldoni, Jaime Camil and Yael Grobglas also star. Brad Siberling directed the episode written by Jennie Snyder Urman (#101). Original airdate 10/13/2014

Oh Cole, nothing you do to Sam is going to compare to the utter hell Lucifer put him through. And um, the Mark of Cain is alive and basically its own being? That's terrifying.
ReplyDeleteWow, that Arrow episode description is extremely detailed.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought we'd seen the last of Metatron !
ReplyDeletenot sure how I feel about that though, a villain needs a pause after being defeated otherwise he'll lose his threat.
ReplyDeleteUnless they plan to redeem him like they did with Crowley.
Lots of Diggle, Felicity away from team Arrow, Oliver finds out about Thea, Oliver probably being pissed at Roy, FRIGGIN TOMMY FLASHBACK, AND QUENTIN?!?! THERE IS SO MUCH GOING ON! I'm so excited! Is it October yet...?
ReplyDeleteLots of Diggle, Felicity away from team Arrow, Oliver finds out about Thea, Oliver probably being pissed at Roy, FRIGGIN TOMMY FLASHBACK, AND QUENTIN?!?! THERE IS SO MUCH GOING ON!
ReplyDelete@mac ARE YOU EXCITED YET?!?!? :D
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts too - besides he really wasn't that terrify a villan!
ReplyDeleteTVD-please let that someone be katherine!I miss her so badly.Looks like stafan and enzo will hit it off after all!
ReplyDeleteI think from this episode forward I'm going to avoid episode descriptions for Arrow. I don't want to be so spoiled for every single episode. I'm a relatively new viewer and watched the first 2 seasons over the summer and wasn't spoiled for any of them and really enjoyed it. This is the first season where I'm following spoilers lol.
ReplyDeleteI love Tommy but this episode just Like 209 is going to kill me. It's just so bittersweet and not fair!
ReplyDeleteNever should have killed him off.
Me too I'm still mad about Tommy. Resurrect Tommy lol!
ReplyDeleteNo, don't redeem Megatron. He wasn't even that great of a villain
ReplyDeleteMerlyns master plan: lure Ra's to Starling -> sneak up to the Lazarus Pit while he's gone -> ressurect Tommy
ReplyDeletemmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmaybe ^^
ReplyDeleteAre the 10x01 Episode Stills wrong then? I thought Cole had Sam prisoner there?
ReplyDeleteMaybe he captures Sam near the end of the episode?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to watch Sam get tortured to get that FRESH smell of a new SPN season !

TO: I'm not sure what they mean by "tensions" between Elijah and Hayley. It seems like those two will be at odds with each other about Hayley's behavior, and Klaus will keep the peace by making Hayley spend more time out in the bayou. Elijah would be satisfied with this because he would think that more time with her family might make Hayley want to act more like she was before. As for Davina trying to break the spell connecting Klaus to his bloodline, it looks more like it'll be a pipe dream for her and she'll lose control of Mikael before she has a chance to break the spell. Her dinner with Kaleb will probably get crashed by Klaus and Elijah when they figure out that she was the one who resurrected Mikael. I'm pretty sure it won't be the werewolves crashing the dinner because the Crescent wolves will be with Esther, and it seems the entire season premiere will be devoted to getting rid of the Guerreras. The flashbacks appear to be nothing but memories that Elijah will have while spending time alone with Marcel. I'm guessing the information they'll be after will involve Hayley's family, since that appears to be the basis for the attempts to calm her down in this episode. We know that people will uncover information about both Hayley and Cami's families this season, so this might be the episode where we learn a lot about Hayley's parents. We already know from multiple promos that Klaus will figure out that Cassie is Esther and he'll end up threatening her. The question is, are there actually other enemies who will show up to fight Esther? They might not even be TVD characters. That entire coven has to have collectively racked up more enemies than the Originals.
ReplyDeleteTVD: After what I saw in the latest sneak peek, I think Elena should just give up on Caroline. That friendship is a lost cause and was never a real friendship to begin with. Elena obviously wants to help Caroline move on from Stefan, but Caroline isn't going to do that. Now I know how people feel who complained about Elena's angst when she was dating Stefan and Damon. Liv's unexpected confession will probably be that her spirits took her power away for helping vampires with multiple resurrections, and she's incapable of reaching inside Tyler's head and helping him control himself. I'm very curious about the "strange change" that Stefan will notice in Elena. Maybe she just had Alaric compel her to move on from Damon, or maybe something else is going on with her. I've brought up before the possibility that Stefan and Elena might cease to be doppelgangers and their appearances might change, but if it only happens to Elena because she's been used to break two different curses, maybe this will be part of Jeremy's discovery that puts Elena's life at risk. It looks like Jeremy will get close to someone with Tripp's cult, which wouldn't take kindly any threat to the spell protecting the town from vampires. If one of the doppelgangers just becoming a normal vampire threatens the spell, someone would try to kill her in order to keep the status quo. Julian killing Stefan made the spell stop spreading, but it didn't break the spell. A doppelganger's blood changing might create a loophole by making it seem like one of the doppelgangers doesn't exist, and the spell would theoretically break. If I'm right, this could be partly why Luke and Liv are still around. They need to know what will become of the doppelgangers. I don't know what Matt's revelation will be about Enzo, but it doesn't seem as interesting as what Matt will find out about Tripp. As for Damon and Bonnie, personally I never questioned whether or not they were alone. I think people will be more interested in where they are.
Arrow episode 2 is so descriptive..........and multiple storyline at the same time.......like that Lance is calling Arrow obviously this time is official and don't have to hide in the shadow
ReplyDelete6 months later, Oliver realizes: "Hey, I haven't heard from Thea since Slade's army attacked the city... Oh no, could something possibly be wrong?"
ReplyDeleteI think they may be giving too much of Laurel in Team Arrow too soon. The fandom didn't exactly receive her well when she teamed up with Team Arrow in the final 3 episodes. I don't see this going over well. Its way too soon for the audience to accept her into the group. I hope this comes across better on screen. The last thing they need is giving more ammunition to the people that don't like Laurel.
Laurel considering telling a secret of Sara's? Is this what Laurel does? Immediately after finding out someone's secret considers blabbing? She did the same thing after learning Oliver was the Arrow; ironically also immediately about to blab to her father.
The Tommy thing sounds fun. I always liked him. I wonder how he will be portrayed: the party boy, a young man greiving his friend's death, etc?
And for an episode titled Sara, there is a startling lack of her in this synopsis.
I didn't. I know the angel stuff with Metratron was going to carry over into this season unfortunately (I'm over him and want him to go away/die now) because it wasn't resolved last season - they only resolved the Crowley vs. Abaddon feud.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't think there will be much of Kol in it at all. It's probably just a short flashback scene (probably the length of the Klaus/Marcel ones last season when Marcel was a child).
ReplyDeleteI think Davina will be successful or else they wouldn't have bothered with that plot at all. Although why Davina can do it an no other witch (like Bonnie) could annoys me greatly. It also seems like it would be at odds with Esther's plan of wiping out the entire vampire species so here's hoping that if Davina does succeed that Esther will un-do it.
ReplyDeleteI simply not buy Laurel having more info on Komodo than ARGUS or Felicity, it's unrealistic... That is just forcing her into Team Arrow. When are they going to learn? She is a character capable of standing on her own, especially with her arc, this year.
ReplyDeleteThey must keep her separate until she is ready so it feels like an organic transition.
it too early to judge what Laurel may know.......and I doubt she part of team arrow she more of providing intel that the DA office may have
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing. Its like those trailers that show you everything in written form.
ReplyDeleteYEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FOR KOL!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIris becomes even more intrigued by the “red streak.”
ReplyDeleteOf course.
Arrow - Laurel is able to help Team Arrow when ARGUS, Lance and Felicity's investigations could not get any information? How does that work? I bet Sara gives a file about this assassin to Laurel in episode 1 so that she can step in and save the day. *sigh*. I don't see any other way for this to work out. Not sure I will like it. For an episode with title Sara looks like Sara is not physically there.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could stop reading Arrow spoilers. Their episode descriptions are so detailed. I don't read spoilers for any other show but can't stay away from Arrow.
The Flash - "Iris becomes even more intrigued by the red streak" - of course she is. I am tired of this trope. I hope they break the secret to her asap.
If only I could.
ReplyDeleteKol *fangirls* *screams*
ReplyDeleteI just hope its not another case of Blind Spot. Where practically everybody was dumbed down.
ReplyDeleteShe is DA so she does have Intel that others wouldn't have.
ReplyDeleteMy god anything Laurel does is harshly judged. Felicity can hack any damn thing and its OK and believable but when it comes to Laurel you have to question it?
My knee jerk reaction whenever there is a Laurel working with Team Arrow spoiler is always negative. My dislike for the character colors my opinion. I hope they make it work this season.
ReplyDeleteThe Originals- I've been wanting to see the flashbacks of Elijah and Marcel to see what happened to them and how come they hate each other so much, been waiting for that since during season 1. So i'm excited for that. I do ship Haylijah, but i'm gonna step away from that. But i am excited, however that's not what intrigued me, but i still ship em so of course i'm going to mention it. lol
ReplyDeleteThe Flash- I couldn't be more ready for this. He's always been my favorite DC character, so i'm hella excited. I did NOT watch the leaked pilot, i didn't want to, and i was pissed when half the world watched it. And NO that is not me asking for details, I'll watch it when it premieres and be glad with whatever. I do really want to see Oliver's cameo though. Been wanting that since the previews early in the spring/summer.
Arrow- Finally! We get word on Komodo. I was curios to know when he'd show b/c of the promo. Go Diggle!! Oh no, Roy is going to tell Oliver, that makes me nervous. Seriously Ray?? I hope that means persuing her about her JOB proposition that you have in mind. Ummm "Laurel debates sharing a secret about Sara with Lance" Wtf? Which Lance we talking about? Quentin? Dinah? Both?? ugh, can't even write her synopsis part right. Tried to be cryptic. sigh, moving on, I really want to see Thea. Can't wait to see that talk she has with Malcolm in the Limo. I want to hear what the maniacal bastard had to say, to get her to go. LOL He probably didn't have to give much effort, poor girl was hanging by a thread anyway.
Supernatural-- Sigh. I'm just not hyped. That's so disappointing. I seriously think it was that promo with Demon Dean (I refuse to use the other term) they tried to make it look funny and it was just atrocious!! Was not pleased. Only thing that struck my interest was Castiel.
TVD-- Elena does that?? Probably as a distraction to go get high. VERY interested in Matt. Stefan returns that quick huh? Guess Caroline's powers of manipulation worked. And Stefan notices that Elena's "off"..That's a Caroline, "SERIOUSLY?" Is that suppose to imply that no one else notices?? God i hope not!! B/c i can't relive that whole, "My friends didn't even notice i wasn't me and i've been gone for weeks" bullshit. Caroline if you didn't notice AGAIN, you should be ashamed of yourself. Also looking forward to Damon and Bonnie in the dark dimension!! I'll be surprised if it's anything other than that. I mean c'mon as soon as the finale ended every reader was thinking that. Where the hell else you gonna put them? = /
All in all this was great, (except a few things) pumped for all my shows.
That actually made me smile. hahahaha
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I do NOT read spoilers with my major shows (Arrow,TVD,TO,SPN for example) I love to be SURPRISED. So i stay away from the big ones, slightly graze by the little ones. BUT that's when my shows are airing, (otherwise people need to start using Spoiler Alert again). However, when the shows are on hiatus, whole other story!! B/c i need the fix to get me through the wait, smh. And Arrow has been spoiling the crap out of us. It's like they give us candy everyday!! If i had diabetes, i'd be dead by now. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh My God! Yessss. Mega face palm!! ITA!! smh = /
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on this whole comment. (except for those last 5 words) lol..overstepping boundaries? What ever do you mean? You mean when she was so close to rapping out the Arrow's identity? Or forcing her way into the cave? Or saying, "But not them?" When she knew of Team Arrow for all of 5 seconds? Well gee let's hope not!!! Sigh
ReplyDeleteGod i wish!! smh, unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, i liked the way you put that. So true.
ReplyDeleteI´m for one is in total shock that Elenas live could potentially be in danger!
ReplyDeleteYou should see the Hannibal press releases, they include plot twists and character deaths, as if they're an episode recap and not a teasing press release. But yeah, that was pretty detailed, made me excited for the episode, though.
ReplyDeleteOMG! I can´t wait! Supernatural the best!!! :D ♥
ReplyDeleteThe Originals : I really couldn't care less about Hayley and Elijah's love life. Keep them together or seperate if you have to, writers but get the story to move forward. On another note, it's a very interesting move Klaus is making and I'm glad he's back in the game. Same for Hayley but I'm pretty sure things won't go as planned which is good cause it can't be too easy, can it? I like that those two are taking care of the wolf problem together. Also it seems they're gonna figure out Esther's back this episode, I think it's gonna be great! Also we're gonna see Kol's pretty face again? Yay!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see Elijah and Marcel's backstory being revealed. It's even one of the things I'm looking forward to see the most to be honest. That and the Davina/Mikael's SL, of course.
Very intrigued about Davina and Kaleb and their not-so-gentle visitors. I don't think it's Mikael since he's still magically chained up in Davina's attic, for all we know at the moment. I'm not sure Marcel's crew would treat her badly because you know she and Marcel are tight. So who could it be? Witches, werewolves? Don't know but dying to find out here!
TVD : Ok well for me the most interesting information this synopsis gave us is the Bamon and the Unknown presence's SL. I have no idea of who it could be, but I'm pretty sure he/she is the new big bad and I'm sooo looking forward to find out!
That being said, I haven't seen the episode obviously so it's hard to judge but it seems like the story will move away from Elena's tears which will be great I think. Plus, it'll be good to see the girls being girls again (we haven't seen their friendship in a while). However could their conversations, interactions, etc... not be about boys this time? Ah I don't know, I'm conflicted lol!
Is Elena still high on witchy drugs by the way? Don't know and quite frankly I'm not sure I care much to find out. Also the girl's in danger again? Boring. Plus as long as she stays away from the anti-magic dome she's safe right, so WTF? Or is the thing expanding or evolving into something new? Actually, this could be interesting.
On another note, it looks like Enzo and Stefan will spend some time together and I'm very happy about this.
Very intrigued about Matt's and Liv's confessions and revelations. Also it's the first time in a while, I'm actually interested in Tyler's story (or maybe I woke up on the right side of the bed today).
Overall it looks very promising, I'm excited to see those come back on our screens!
She's a DA, for God's sake! At least if Felicity uses magic hacking it still has a valid point of information.
ReplyDeleteWhat can a DA have on a mercenary assasin? I'm a Laurel fan... That's why this bothers me, it makes no sense she has more info on Komodo than Argus.
If Sara gives info on him just so she can be featured on Team Arrow, that becomes bad writing.
She has a journey this year, let her become Black Canary... Then incorporate her on the Team and i'll be the most happy person in the world.
If Sara has info on Komodo why would she give it to Laurel, the sister she wanted to protect and not Oliver or Lance who actually do crime fighting. Also through out last season even though they used det Lance as back up, Felicity always hacked into SCPD and all govt organizations including ARGUS for info. She can easily hack into DA's office for the same.
ReplyDeleteThey need to give Laurel independent cases to prosecute and let some bad guys get away giving her motivation to put on a mask and apprehend them. Start her training make her BC then join her with Team Arrow.
The thought of that episode makes me physically sick.
ReplyDeleteHA!HA!HA! When Sam was hallucinating 24/7 they declined to show us meaty stuff, opting to have Cas take the insanity and have CAS show the signs of a mental breakdown. When Sam didn't look for Dean in between seasons 7 and 8 we saw him months after he had rebuilt the car and when he was finally trying to heal, with zero meaty parts of how he felt and learned to cope with Dean being dead. When he was possessed by an angel, the angel never gave us one look inside Sam's head and when he got unpossessed, the entirety of the meaty part of his story was 1) It was like shared housing, so we can all forgive Dean for giving Sam a roommate who picked up the clothes, cleaned the bathroom and never bothered Sam with loud music and 2) one line in the season finale about how he has nightmares about killing Kevin. Then they jumped into showing how bad Dean feels for the 1 one millionth time. Basically don't hold your breath on EVER seeing the meaty part of Sam. We will, of course get many scenes of Sam being more of a monster than Dean, because God Forbid! Dean EVER, under any circumstances be seen as less than perfect or at least he can never be seen as doing anything even slightly worse than Sam.
ReplyDeleteThe show hasn't cared about showing the meaty part of Sam, or much about Sam since season 3. They decided he's pretty wallpaper, who must have something that needs fixed every season, but who has no emotions about how it feels to always be the problem. I will be happy if he isn't sent out of the room while Dean talks to people about HOW HARD it is for Dean to not only have been a demon, but also to be cured only to find out that his brother is the ABSOLUTE WORST.
According to the synopsis for the season, Esther has a new "twisted" plan that involves bringing her family together in a way that will make them suffer. She'll probably just try to kill her entire family so that they can be together in Limbo. Esther can't be obsessed with ending the entire vampire race again because that would intertwine the two shows too much.
ReplyDeleteDavina's plans never work, at least not the way she wants them to. It doesn't really matter if she's successful in breaking the spell because Klaus lived for 1,000 years without it before and breaking that spell would help keep the two shows separate. It would also create more suspense because vampires in Klaus' bloodline would no longer be afraid to kill him. On the other hand, people are going to be rooting for Davina to fail, and if she succeeds, keeping her on the show will cause a lot of problems with the fans. I don't believe that Mikael will be able to kill Klaus, in spite of MIkael's witch-blood-generated strength, because the white oak stake is no longer indestructible and will probably be discovered to be useless. I can see it now. Mikael stakes Klaus and nothing happens, after all of that drama. Then Klaus makes Davina pay for her behavior. This is how Davina's plans turn out.
In the stills, it looks like they're in the middle of having a conversation. It's weird.
ReplyDeleteI think you are judging this too harshly. I don't like to see him getting tortured, BUT the conversation that it'll bring might be interesting and give him the chance to share his POV with the audience, something that Jared said it was going to happen.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are right. However, the one thing that has been proven true time and time again is that the show has filmed scenes showing Sam's POV and then they are miraculously edited out for time or creative reasons. Last season they cut the scene with Sam telling Jody that Dean was lying to him again. They cut out scenes in season seven where Jared was pressing his scar to show that he was constantly fighting hallucinations. The fact that Jared wants Sam's POV to be shown and the fact that they scripted and filmed scenes showing it don't mean that Sam's POV will actually make it to our screens. I've spent too many years being sure that THIS YEAR we will get Sam's POV and having it just never shown.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's very frustrating. But.... Even though I'm far from being optimistic I can't help but think that it'll be different this season.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I forgot to say this in my previous comment, but I'm sure we'll have Sam kicking asses. Maybe not too much at the very beginning especially because of Jared's shoulders, but Sammy doing whatever to get his brother back IMO requires him kicking whoever ass. I hope. :P
Lmao! I agree with everything you said except I'll give Laurel the benefit of the doubt about her forcing her way into the cave. I don't think she forced, I think she was more... invited :p She sure as hell wouldn't have been there if Felicity and Diggle didn't want her to be there.
ReplyDeleteBut this time it's Jared who had the serious injury that had to be worked into the scripts but evidently we're not going to see how SAM was injured ... there's only so much his stunt double can do if Jared was unable to fight hard with any realism. Yes, that's sucks but 'Sam' can still kick ass and take names using his wits, calling contacts and intelligence gathering skills and fight hard to find Dean.
ReplyDeleteI really hope so too because Sam was even more worthless in every respect after Road Trip than Dean ever 'was' in the similar timing of S8.
ReplyDeleteI haven't even started watching my S9 Blue Rays yet but I'm reading - AGAIN - that several good Sam POV and 'Brother Scenes" were cut.
ReplyDeleteHA! "invited" yeah ok. You go with that. lmfao.
ReplyDeletethat's what I love about you Percysowner you tell the truth and you are so right. So why bother this season if there not giving Sam a great storyline I am tired of waiting for a good one.
ReplyDeleteTVD: I knew Damon & Bonnie couldn't be the only ones there.
ReplyDeleteArrow: Awesome, Tommy flashback!
SPN: Dean killed some guy?! Dean too aggressive for Crowley?
TO: Yay, flashbacks! Already bored with Davina's storyline.
TF: Barry has to work out the kinks. Of course Iris is intrigued by the "red streak"!
Her father was being beaten and tortured in prison. It was either reveal his identity to her dad or risk him losing her life.
ReplyDeleteForcing her way into the cave? Um Felicity and Diggle brought her there to STOP OLIVER FROM KILLING HIMSELF!!!!!!!
But not them? Um she was wondering why it was OK to put their lives on the line but it be a problem for her to go. It was a valid question.
So now we are faulting Laurel for saving Oliver's life.....haha okay.
You Laurel haters I swear.....sigh. Both fun to prove you wrong but also so annoying at the same time.
Ugh, Helen go away. i'm not in the mood for you/this. I couldn't even read your comment.
