Graceland’s Serinda Swan has landed a significant multi-episode arc on Chicago Fire as a potential love interest for Taylor Kinney’s hunky firefighter, EW has learned.
The actress, whose credits also include Breakout Kings and Smallville, will play Brittany Baker, a graphic designer who crosses paths with Severide—who, lest we forget, is currently dating Chicago P.D.‘s Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush). Could Brittany have anything to do with this storyline?

And now I'm worried about Graceland's renewal chances but good for her.
ReplyDeleteThis does not bode well for Graceland. Dammit!! Getting mentally ready for the cancellation now. :(
ReplyDeleteOn Topic: I heard from fellow Tweeps who watch both P.D and Fire, that Severide and Lindsay's crossover relationship works well. I wonder if something major happens (apart from the cliched triangle or cheating angle) to disrupt it.
Don't worry because I just read the full article and it specifically says it won't affect her time on Graceland and they also said they expect Graceland to be renewed!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, awesome news! I want them to be right but I'm not getting my hopes up.
ReplyDeleteI think USA would be fools to cancel it!!! Best show on during the summer in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteHOT!!!
ReplyDeleteNooo.... I mean yes I like her as an actress and I can see her with Severide but He and Erin are perfect!
ReplyDeleteAs long as Graceland is renewed she can appear on as many shows as she wants but Graceland comes first!!!
ReplyDeleteGood thing I haven't started Chicago Fire Yet, otherwise I would have had to put one of the series on hold for a bit when stuff like this happen.
ReplyDeleteThat's good news. i like the actress. I hope she's joining the show to be more than just a love interest for another character.
ReplyDeleteNow THAT would be great news! This past year was brutal because so many of my shows got cancelled. I'd be bummed if Graceland was added to that list.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info and hope. :)
ReplyDeleteI am totally on board with this! I love love LOVE her in Graceland and as much as I enjoy Lindsay and Severide, I selfishly want someone for Severide outside of the PD universe. I have pretty much hated all of his love interests besides Lindsay and I don't know if that's because I love him so much and am just super picky or if it was the casting/writing but like I said, BEYOND thrilled.
ReplyDeleteAlso thrilled that Graceland is expected to have a season three and this won't affect her role on it :))))
oh yeaaaaaaaa my girl!
ReplyDeleteCalm down Linsdsay/Severide haters... she will be on the show just for 4 eisodes. She's probably gonna create some chaos before leaving for good... Derek Haas loves LOVE DRAMA... And Lindsay and Severide will be together all season 3 so whatever it is they will probably fix it!
ReplyDeleteDon't be worried... I'm pissed off too but she's probably gonna play the part of the girl Kelly saves and that means pretty much episode 3.04/05 and Kelly and Erin will be together all season so they will fix this :) and btw magazines love use big words to scare the poor fans... Jones had to be Severide love interest too according the spoilers and yet... not happened. My advice is just wait and see.
ReplyDeleteMatt Olmstead, one of the producers, said the Lindsay and Severide are going strong and that they will be together all season... but he also said that, like in every relationship, there will be some drama and some common problems... I guess this news is a little part of this drama coming on their way... she will be on CF just for 4 episodes... and I'm positive about Severide and Lindsay... they are doing very well and all the spoilers I've read said they will be strong during the season... Because of this Kelly will probably realize how much he cares about Erin...
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE this casting!! I love Serinda in Graceland. And it may mean Linseride will break up, which I'm totally on board about. #LinsteadForever... :)
ReplyDeleteThis is good news, hope it puts an end to Erin and Kelly once and for all because it doesn't work. Those who watch fire and don't watch pd or don't even have get it where they live, don't know what is going on and vice versa. So I hope Serinda Swan does get to stay longer or he goes back to his old ways and finds someone else. And well for Severide and Erin to be dating, don't you actually have to go on dates. Not show up one one doorstep with stupid pickup line, make out. Then don't call her at all. Then show up at her doorstep tell her sorry I didn't call and hookup with her. That is not a relationship or dating. And all the spoilers I read don't look good for Erin/Kelly so that's good. Kelly needs to stay on fire, if I wanted to see him I would watch fire.
ReplyDeleteI have to completely disagree that the writers are obsessed with Severide. If they tend to favor anyone, it's Dawson. The two main leads started out Casey and Severide and over time Dawson became their equal in billing.
ReplyDeleteIf you take a look at social media, the most popular character on Chicago Fire seems to be Severide and then Casey right behind him in a close second. While everyone has different favorites, the vast majority see Severide and Casey as Chicago Fire. Chicago Fire needs to focus on those two characters since they are the leads and they are bringing in the viewers. If Casey and/or Severide weren't focused on, Chicago Fire wouldn't likely survive. The audience would likely abandon the show quickly.
There's a lot of people in favor of Serinda Swan being casted and maybe Severide and this new character can become the new main couple on the show since there's only so long that they can focus on Dawson and Casey before it gets repetitive. If Chicago Fire can find a way to make her a regular, it would likely benefit the show.
Sorry yes he is the most popular character on Fire and then Casey. And that's where his stories and relationships should be focused on fire and not on PD. PD needs to be able to stand on its own. yes I hope they can find a way to get her to be a regular.
ReplyDeletei love your optimism.. linseride forever :)
ReplyDeleteMore than optimism it's realism. We know Kelly and Erin will be together all season 3 (Matt Olmstead said that) and we know this new character will start her appearances on ep 3.06 for just 4 episodes. So unless she does ep 3.06 and then the last 3 episodes of the season it means Kelly and Erin will get through this and they will be ok for the rest of the season after her.
ReplyDeleteAnyway she's just "potential" so everything could happen but NOTHING could happen as well. Let's just wait and see :)
i agree..absolutely ;)
