  1. There are Lauriver shippers?
Not too hot about that ship but I`m glad that Kreisberg threw out a Laurel dialogue tease for once.

Now if we could get a Malcolm tease?....that'd be great

    ReplyDelete
  2. think people just need to keep asking. They not gonna answer every tease, but sometimes they might. These EP like to interact with the fans.

    ReplyDelete
  3. True. But well the EP love the attention.

    ReplyDelete
  4. The fastest woman alive? Really? I hope the line makes sense, unless she is indeed Arrow's version of Oracle, then that would make sense.

    ReplyDelete
  5. While there is obviously a stronger chemistry between Oliver and Felicity, I still have some hope that the writing for Laurel gets better, because, imo, Oliver and Laurel should be an item by the end of the series.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Yep, there are. As a matter of fact, I used to be one back in season 1. On season 2 I gave up on ships on the show and decided to focus solely on characters, but I know people who still ship them, and if it were done right I could ship them again too.

    ReplyDelete
  7. For me especially how WB is promoting the season 2 DVD its probably not a possibility anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  8. well it could mean her hacker skills.

    ReplyDelete
  9. But as you see they give out these Felicity teases because people keep begging for them. If you are not ready to do the same amt of work no point in complaining abt all these Felicity teases.

    ReplyDelete
  10. My guess is 306 quote is from Laurel to wildcat. That's the first episode he is featured.
I have no idea why Felicity would say that. 3 more weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  11. That's why I brought up her being Arrow's Oracle. If she is indeed Arrow's version of Oracle, then it would make sense because Oracle, I believe, is indeed the fastest woman when it comes to anything computer-savvy.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Ehhh, I don't believe clips or how a DVD release is being promoted dictates if one "ship" is going to last while the other sinks. If anything, it's just this season where the Oliver/Felicity relationship finds its spark. I'm not saying I want to see Oliver/Laurel right now, but at least before the series ends. I'd rather see them start to realize they could start dating again and then to our imaginative, we can pretend they get married and then divorce like the comics, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Laurel to the young, who should be old, Wildcat?

I really hope this series doesn't have those two date. Wildcat should have been an older gent and I always wanted that dynamic to be like Bruce and Carrie Kelly in The Dark Knight Returns.

    ReplyDelete
  14. They dont even have to go there since L/O already had their crash and burn. Tommy will always hang over them.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I personally never want to see Oliver/Laurel together after the season 2 dalliance with Sara. But this is television. Anything can happen. If the show goes on for more than six seasons the probability of O/L becoming a thing is very high. But as of now to even think about O/L they need atleast 2 to 3 seasons of platonic strong friendship and Oliver's child saga needs to come out. The cheating bitterness needs to completely go out of their relationship. I hope they don't go there ever again. From what we have seen both Oliver and Laurel are at their best when they are away from each other romantically.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I could see Felicity saying that. That sounds funny. Barry taking her for a ride? Or she could just be sarcastically mimicking him. lol Or she could be getting info from her computers. lol

    ReplyDelete
  17. Laurel scoop? I'm shocked!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. I was thinking Felicity says that in terms of her hacking skills. I imagine her saying that as she's typing super super quickly :p

Laurel to Wildcat about Oliver :p

    ReplyDelete
  19. Or she could say it after Barry takes her for a ride:p

    ReplyDelete
  20. EXACTLY! Thank you that was the point I've been trying to make in a previous thread! Complacency will always lose out to passionate shippers.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Ohhh how very smooth of Barry :p Apparently the lightning bolt gave Barry more than abs and super speed ;)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Of course they are going there.

    ReplyDelete
  23. It's obvious the writers aren't going with the comics 100%, it was obvious from the first episode, so I don't understand why he 'should' be older?

    ReplyDelete
  24. DC all access is giving away a signed season 2 DVD if you interested xD.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'm afraid he has "Laurel's love interest" written all over him.

    ReplyDelete
  26. The show has nothing to do with the Green Arrow comic... Like zero, nada!

It's a new interpretation with new characters, new storyes, etc.

Just accept the two universes like their own separate thing like i do: In one i have Ollie, Naomi, Jax, etc and in the other I have Oliver, Diggle, Felicity, Sara and Roy. It's that easy.

    ReplyDelete
  27. With my luck? Are you kiddin? lmao...it comes out tomorrow!! Omg i'm dying!

    ReplyDelete
  28. They are using Olicity to prevent spoilers from Malcolm and Thea to be out. They're playing nice: We all know Olicity will end up together in the end, but they're keeping anything regarding the daddy/daughter relationship a secret.

Nice to see some Laurel love. This will be her year, for sure... Give me action, Olicity, Laurel as BC and a more comic-ish Ra's and i'm done!

    ReplyDelete
  29. They probably decided to release this after that one girl asked Stephen if Laurel would die, during the Montreal panel. LOL That was funny (in an oh shit way) and soo brave. I mean you couldn't tell HOW she meant, you just knew that she was 100% serious. But she didn't give a tone of how she meant it.

    ReplyDelete
  30. You just have to respond to the video Dc all access posted and tell them your fav video. Maybe you are lucky.

    ReplyDelete
  31. But i don't have Twitter, doesn't it only work with Twitter?

    ReplyDelete
  32. yeah you have to tweet it to DCComics.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=kDTm4VSYI60

    ReplyDelete
  33. I was so disappointed when they released who will be wild cat. I had just read the history of the character and was excited for his appearance. Then boom they cast typical love interest material as wildcat. I still am hoping they will not go there. But since they said Laurel's getting a new LI I am resigned to the fact. Hope they keep the romance out of the training scenes.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Ok, i'll give a shot. We'll see. Thank you! = )

    ReplyDelete
  35. Unfortunately I think that's where we'll see most of their 'sexual tension'. I don't really care about wildcat being younger, then again, I've never read the comics so why would I care? :p I just hope that he's integrated well into the plot and that his scenes with Laurel don't suck.

    ReplyDelete
  36. yw :) It doesnt hurt to try :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well, i do read the comics... Especially Green Arrow, wich is one of my favourites. And let me tell you, as i try to tell everyone: The producers don't care about the canon.

Wildcat being young or Olicity is one of the minor things in wich the comics and the show go separate ways. For starter, the character of Oliver Queen on the show is more a Bruce Wayne than his actual comic counterpart: The Oliver Queen from the comics is a "happy go lucky guy", with a sarcastic personality(He's the one that told the Justice League he helped them take down an enemy 'cause one of his arrows ended up in the butt of the poor basterd... He is the one annoyed that the Justice League takes credits for his work... Does that sound like Oliver Queen from Arrow? He gets in bed with anything that walks, including some crazy triplets).

So it's pointless to say "the canon says this or that", 'cause the truth is the show has almost nothing to do with it except some names and easter eggs to be honest...

So it's pointless when they say "we're introducing [insert name here]" or "we're doing [insert comic book run here]" to go and search about that on the comics, 'cause it would have nothing to do with that xD

PD: Go buy the Green Arrow comics(The New 52 is pretty cool, especially the first and the last run), they rock! Green Arrow could use some more sales... :S

    ReplyDelete
  38. Its not about comics for me. Oliver was trained by Slade and Yao Fei who is quite older and wiser than Oliver. We had Shado too who was training him but nothing romantic happened between them in season 1 when serious training was going on. Thea is being trained by Malcolm. But he is bat shit crazy eventhough he is her father. We have yet to see who trained Sara. I hope its not Nyssa.

The problem with Laurel being trained by a guy who is her LI is can he be rough enough with her to make her a great fighter? This was the same reason I never wanted Oliver to train Laurel. Romance will bleed into training when they are grappling each other. If wildcat was the older guy like in comics the training would have been more believable after all BC is a world class martial artist.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Would it have killed Kreisberg to give a quote that says something about Laurel's actual character and not a Lauriver-related one? (Although it's clear that the person who asked on Twitter is a Lauriver fan so maybe that's why Kreisberg chose that one.) If there's any hope to salvage the character, they need to finally figure out who she's supposed to be and what role she plays in this universe rather than constantly frame her as Oliver's long-lost love.

P.S. This is not said with the intent to start a shipping war of any kind. I don't ship anything here. This isn't even related to my opinion about Lauriver, even though I dislike that pairing. It's related to how female characters are so often reduced to the role of love interest, which does them no favors; Laurel is a victim of that syndrome.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Agreed, there is so much baggage there that I don't see how they can ever have a healthy romantic relationship again. Given how TV works I'm almost certain we haven't seen the last of Lauriver as a romantic pairing, but I pray to whatever TV deity is out there that it at least doesn't happen ANY time soon. Laurel needs to recover from her addiction in the long run and figure herself out, Oliver needs to grow up and stop playing musical beds with women, and they both need enough time to move on from their sordid past before any renewed romance can even be on the table.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Ah, but The CW has finally succeeded in rooting anyone over 45 (?) on the show by getting rid of Susanna Thompson. Next up are probably Paul Blackthorne and David Ramsey (not sure about his age?) so there's no one over 40. Etc. Eventually it will be a CW utopia where no one is over 30! Woohoo! So yeah, of course Wildcat had to be young.

(Just kidding. Consider this a crack comment.)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I agree, this is why I'm also a bit uneasy about Wildcat being both Laurel's trainer and her LI. Mixing those two things together can be problematic. Plus, the fact that he's the trainer and she's the trainee kind of puts her in a subordinate position and that's never healthy for a romance.

Sigh. Why couldn't Laurel have ended up with Tommy :(

    ReplyDelete
  43. But since she's the fastest one, wouldn't she be the one giving HIM a ride? LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  44. So you mean I should harrass people for spoilers?

Look I get what you're saying but I'm not that kind of person that begs a showrunner to give me anything.
I'm one of these people that wants to see the EPs do their thing fully on their own without others FORCING them to do what they want them to.

My life doesen't depend on Arrow, I'm not going to flood someones inbox with "Oh please Mr. Kreisberg, I'll show you my boobs if you give me a tease about [insert random favourite character]".

It makes sense to complain about an overload of spoilers and a focus on a group that is why too loud,

I don't know about you but I just CAN'T do that, to me (that is purely subjective) it is pathetic to ask someone for teases.

There's just so much wrong with that....from limiting the EPs work down to ONE ship to degrading yourself to a mindless fan.

^ this is my subjective view, I'm not trying to insult anyone here but yeah....going on twitter and posting stuff like "plz giv me #olicityspoilers" just feels wrong to me.

If that kind of behaviour is what causes the Olicity spoiler flood I have even less respect for this fandom

    ReplyDelete
  45. I get where you coming from - on some other shows were I am annoyed or overwhelmed from vocal fangroups I just don't engange in discussion. And thus I enjoy the show more again and I did not even have the impression that fanservice was done. Regarding the teasers, I believe the EP's know exactly what their doing. And Olicity is a sure thing to generate buzz without actually giving in to much spoilers.
Do you watch The 100? I believe you would like how they handle spoilers.

    ReplyDelete
  46. it's really sad to see everyone being against Laurel becoming Black Canary, against Laurel and Oliver being together and Laurel doing anything.
I really don't care more about Laurel than about Felicity but the way the fandom is stomping on her characters is cringeworthy.

I KNOW you people love Felicity. I KNOW you people love that Felicity likes Sara better who should be the Canary.

But this is exactly where my issue with fans interacting with writers and showrunners too much: LIMITING THEIR VISION OF THE SHOW

It's without a question that the fans being SO positively overwhelmed with Felicity caused her to become more than just a one-off character.
Ultimately the fan push created the Felicity-Oliver romance
Unlike on other shows where triangles are planned from the get go, Olicity came up mid season 2 through the fans.

Part of my issue is that there are so many people pulling AGAINST the initial plan that I have no idea who is still writing the show.

    The EPs or Olicity fans?

    ReplyDelete
  47. See all these silly tweets which gives dialogue teases Felicity's home photos these are not real spoilers. These are scraps given to shippers and fans because they ask for it.

Only real Felicity related spoiler for season 3 is she is going on a date with Oliver in ep 1 which ends badly, she has her own episode, she will have a relationship with Ray Palmer and she will crossover with Flash. Everything else is rehashing of the same thing.

You can't blame Olicity shippers because they want to know more abt what they like. To be honest its us who stalk spoiler sites like these who are bombarded with these tidbits. Regular viewers get two promos which was quite balanced. If you avoid twitter feeds and tumblr frustration will be lot reduced.

    ReplyDelete
  48. That was Blood Rose introduction, isn't it? That arc was pretty cool! Also, i really loved the art style of that run wich is always a plus! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  49. They had their crash and burn before the main timeline of the series, so I wouldn't say it's "over" for more of "Lauriver" or whatever the ship name is called; they only slept with each other before the season one finale, but it was never something that "crashed" with the two and their relationship. Tommy, Sara, I don't think even those two characters can be TOO much baggage for an Oliver/Laurel relationship once more. But, we shall see how it plays out. I certainly think that yes, that relationship will indeed return, but not this season. You brought up how the Oliver/Felicity relationship is "buzz worthy" when it comes to social media, and I wouldn't be surprised if the producers and network just play up to that "buzz" for that relationship, and specifically for this season. It's obviously a smart move to do.

    ReplyDelete
  50. FULLY AGREE!

It infuriates me at times for how much hate Laurel does get. She IS going to be Black Canary, even if people don't want to accept it, but it's just the writing I feel isn't worthy, especially when the writing to characters like Sara, Moira and Shado have been so great; imo, the writing for Thea and Laurel has been particularly awful, but I hope both of those girls are written to be stronger and not just used as a convenience when the story calls for it as we've seen in seasons one and two.

But, going by to how fans push the show's direction, it is a bit shocking that with just HOW much they do. I just know that because of the backlash on the "Oracle" title, the name was changed to "The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak". And you are correct about how Olicity came up mid-season two. In fact, I would love if the producers just shut the internet off and go through an entire season without listening to anyone from Twitter, Facebook, what have you.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I don't HAVE to accept anything, especially when I prefer the live-action take of Oliver Queen/Arrow more than the comics' take. It's just everyone else, I'm not very proud of where these characters are going and how they are being used.

    ReplyDelete
  52. It doesn't make much sense to have someone with the relatively close age to be teaching Laurel how to fight. Why not just have Oliver teach Laurel if that's the case?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Wildcat was always the first character I thought of who I wanted to see on the series and it's definitely a slap to the face for who they cast and what possible storyline they will use for the character and Laurel this season.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Why would he want to train her? He already is a mentor to Roy. He will have his hands full with that.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I don't want them to fully get out of touch with the fandom but I certainly want the writers to regain their self respect and write what they had in mind, not what the fans do.

I know people will disagree with me on that but a show should be written by the people who know about story structure and protagonist focus. Not a loud fanbase.

Felicity is certainly one of the best things created through fanpush but that fanpush is currently turning really sour for me.

TVD is the best example for a show being destroyed by fans pushing too hard. Let's see if Arrows third season destroys itself as much as TVD did in its third

    ReplyDelete
  56. It all depends how this season plays out. Because its my understanding Oliver and Felicity is a season long story. Probably with them deciding to give it a shot near the ending of season 3. Continuing the relationship in the next seasons. I think if they decide to go through with Oliver and Felicity it will be definite.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Pretty sure she says that to Ted Grant.

    ReplyDelete
  58. The Flash just cast Amanda Pays is over 50 so it's possible there will be more older actors or actresses on Arrow. Also John Barrowman is older.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Because Oliver doesn't want to. Also Dinah was much younger when she was trained by Ted like 19 and she needed an older father figure in her life at the time. And I think it's better to see how she does against a younger stronger Ted Grant.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I think it would be better if they kill Oliver at the end and Felicity ends up with Ronnie Raymond possibly. Just imagine one Amell to another. Who would complain?

    ReplyDelete
  61. There are quite a few out there. A lot of them don't speak English or at least not very well.

    ReplyDelete
  62. How do we know Oliver doesn't want to? Such a storyline has never been used.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I seriously don't want to watch a series whose point is to sell Olicity, lol. But, we shall see what happens. You think one way, I think the other.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I actually do want them to cut off some kind of internet relationship with its fanbase. I think it would actually make things better for the series, imo.

    ReplyDelete
  65. So Oliver only has a status quo of training one person at all times?

    ReplyDelete
  66. When you say Arrow doesn't have anything to do with the comics are you refering just to the current New 52 book? If so I agree with you. Because as a fan of the old comics (1987-2011) where most of the characters on the show seem to originate I see tons of connection or versions of events from those comic books.

If Oliver Queen seem a little Bruce Wayne it's probably because the character was orginally concieved in the 1940's as a direct Batman ripoff (billlionare, playboy, teenage sidekick, Arrowcar, Arrowplane the works)

    ReplyDelete
  67. Jeff Lemiere didn't exactly give me a reason to like Jax was he any good pre #17? Not really all that fond of Fyfe either, wouldn't mind if he left the series with AJK taking over.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Oliver has a lot going on in his life. He probably has a paying job, arrow duty, training himself, training Roy, trying to get QC back, then Malcolm will make a return which will send Oliver in a tizzy not to mention that he needs time to do human things like sleep, eat, have actual conversations with team arrow, make heart eyes at Felicity etc. There's only so much time in a day. So, logistically it wouldn't make sense for him to train Laurel.

Not even that, I don't think Oliver is a trained martial artist or a world class fighter like Sara? So if anyone should train her, it's her sister or Ted. Otherwise, Laurel will just end up being Oliver's sidekick like Roy and I don't think many BC fans would appreciate her being Oliver's sidekick (unless they go a different route with Laurel and not make her BC).

And I think the word you were looking for is quota, not status quo. :)

    ReplyDelete
  69. Nah, that was indeed the word I was going for, but I should've re-checked my comment after posting it. Ahh well, I can't be perfect all the time :)

Oliver always had a lot in his plate, even when training Roy, so I don't think one can just make excuses for him. If Arrow is this universe's version of Batman, why COULDN'T he train more than one person at a time? Batman does.

Also, didn't Ollie even mention he doesn't sleep that much, and rarely eat?

How do we know Ted is more capable than Ollie in this universe, though?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Lol it's cool :p

With Roy I don't think a lot of people care because Roy was always meant to be Oliver's sidekick which is why I don't mind Oliver training him. But if BC is meant to be Oliver's equal in terms of fighting so how can Laurel ever be Oliver's equal in any way, if he's the one training her? And if he doesn't have time to give her his undivided attention? It's just not plausible. I don't know if Ted is more capable than Oliver, but I'm pretty sure Ted doesn't have as much on his plate than Oliver, thus Ted can focus on training Laurel. With Laurel's age (I hear she started training in the comics at age 19, but in the show she's pushing 30), she really does need undivided attention in terms of training if she ever wants to reach that stage.

This brings me to my next problem that even Laurel has her obligations/duties/basic human needs... Basically right now, Laurel being as good a fighter as Sara seems really really implausible because logistically it doesn't make sense.

I think Oliver said that in season 1? He seems to be getting a lot better especially when you see in the promo he's a lot lighter and smiley.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Oh, yes! Of course i mean The New 52! Like it or not, that was the current Oliver Queen when the show began and only a minority of the show's audience have read an older run of the comic...

But i have to disagree on the Wayne front... Green Arrow always have been a lighter version of the playboy type while Wayne was this darker person. At least for my point of view.

The truth is they wanted to make a Dark Knight Trilogy series about Batman's origin without the caped crusader. There's no problem on that.

But no matter what, they just deviated too much from the source material. This was never an adaptation but a re-invention of the character for TV.

I just get so pissed when people use the "canon" thing to complain...

    ReplyDelete
  72. Maybe Laurel here is talking about Tommy to wildcat.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Well, Jax was a "Meh" character... I personally was pretty pissed with Emiko's "origin". But i like that we have diferent characters... :S

Emiko's parents... that was too weird, for some reason Jajajaja I just don't want to spoil it xD

I'm kind of worried that the new run will end up being Arrow: The Comic Version... I liked the idea of having two diferent universes(The Comics and The TV). Diferent characters, diferent storyes.

    We'll have to see... :S

    ReplyDelete
  74. She was married before Oliver. That is a new info about Dinah for me. Thank you. I really hope they give a relationship for Laurel too which lasts at least 2 seasons. I honestly don't care about Oliver's romance. No that's not completely true. I care for his relationships with women but don't care who he ends up with. I hate Laurel/Oliver pairing in this show. But if they take few seasons to build up their partnership and then come back to them I still won't like it but won't be annoyed like I will be if it happens now. Right now the show requires imo a single lady for Oliver. That in no way means Felicity will be the final LI for him in Arrow world.

As for Tommy I was a Laurel/Tommy fan but not much of a Tommy fan. If he was alive the dreadful triangle would have gone on and on. For that I am greatful.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Tommy and Laurels development would have been great. But don't agree about the trainer/trainee relationship. Speaking out of own experience 😁 it can work.

    ReplyDelete
  76. TV shows refuse to learn their lesson when it comes to "show, don't tell" the awesomeness of characters - especially women. And then they say that people who use the term "Mary Sue" are sexists. Sigh. You want me to believe Laurel is such an incredible, gold-hearted person? SHOW IT instead of having other characters wax poetic about how heroic she is.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Right you are, I forgot about Barrowman.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I hope so. But it seems more logical to assume she's talking about Oliver since he's still around. Like, there's an awkward run into him and then Laurel explains to Wildcat how they know each other.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I don't think Laurel would say that about Oliver. She would say Oliver is her childhood friend. I can see some mention of people close to them dying comes up and Laurel mentions Tommy and her relationship with him.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I'll have to disagree with you on the comic point. I've seen far more Arrow fans with at least some basic knowledge of the classic Green Arrow comic book storylines and as compared to the New 52 one, who was only about a year old when the show premiered. The New 52 was after all created to attract new readers who didn't have to catch up on 30-40 years of storylines. Also it was the classic continuity that showrunner Andrew Kreisberg was a writer for.

As for the Batman/Green Arrow comparison. Yes comic book Oliver is generally a much less dark and broody person than Bruce Wayne. But the Batman comics didn't really become dark and broody until the Modern Age (mid 80's).

It's definatly an adaption. Just because it's not the current comic book continuity those 30-40 years of stories from the classic run does not just disappear from peoples minds. I see the show as an origin tale where the characters when we leave them could go on to become their classic counterparts.

    ReplyDelete
  81. It feels too much like a reboot for the Laurel character. And i hate that they using Tommys line. *sobs*

    ReplyDelete
  82. I didn't really form an opinion on Emiko's parents but I really didn't like that kid when she appeared and I'm a little annoyed that they're trying to make this gleefully sadistic child into a hero but at the same time she's kind of entertaining so I'm willing to see where it goes.

I can see the concern for making GA into Arrow Comics #2 but I'm hoping they're honest in saying they won't do that. I'm actually more worried about AJK taking over from Jeff Lemire. I love Lemire's work (following him to his Justice League Title) and I haven't heard a single good thing about AJK's work on GA/BC title.

However, I do agree on the separate worlds, I've always kept to that, with my X-Men comics it's the only way I can appreciate the X-Movies...if I didn't I'd be a pile of raging bitterness...what do you mean Alex Summers is in the First Class in the 60's?!!! FFS LOL

    ReplyDelete
  83. Oliver doesn't have to train someone just so they can be his sidekick, though. And training someone doesn't automatically make them equal. I don't think Ollie will teach Roy as much as he knows, and it would be the same with Laurel, who can learn other stuff on her own, but when it comes to just basic fighting, I don't see why Ollie couldn't have taught her.

Yes, he said that he season one, but I don't think even now he sleeps or eats that much. He obviously still remembers certain events in the past, such as now with the Hong Kong flashbacks.

    ReplyDelete
  84. How many times has Laurel saved anyone? Legitimate question here. I know she 'saved' Oliver once or twice, and then there was that kid (who, ironically, made Tommy look better because he actually connected with the kid rather than Laurel), but most of the time wasn't it just Laurel being the victim of the baddie (trying hard not to use DiD)? If we're talking about her being a Lawyer, we've never seen her win a case either so that can't be it...

I suspected after the finale that the show was going to retcon/reboot Laurel's character and this exact quote that was used in the premier looks like a redo button more than anything else which is unfortunate.

I hope they don't do this, but I think they'll start trying to push Laurel into being this almost perfect person who learns to fight super quickly as well as win all of her cases and be a perfect family person and her problems that she faced in the previous seasons will be ignored. I hope she doesn't become a typical mary-sue in season 3. That's not a way to fix Laurel's character unfortunately.

  85. There is a reason why Ollie wouldn't teach Roy EVERYTHING he knows: if Roy ever went rogue.

  86. I'm certain Laurel is saying it to Wild cat about Oliver and the two meet for the first time in this episode (Ted and Oliver). Glad we're finally getting some Laurel teases, it feels like fans need to do their own detective work to piece together Laurel's S3 storyline.

  87. I really doubt Oliver is not going to train him fully simply because of a possibility. He clearly trusts Roy.

  88. Why should he trust Roy when Roy didn't even trust him late last season and just ran off?

  89. Fair point, but he then gave Roy a red mask and trusted him enough let him fight even though he saw him go insane from the mirakuru. He's does. Might be a dumb idea, but he does.

  90. Ollie had to trust Nyssa too, so that's not saying much. Ollie must have created the mask much early on before Roy even left Starling City in the first place.

  91. True but that fact that he was willing to take a chance on Roy despite his insanity and rage shows he trusts him.

  92. I would say Ollie believes in Roy moreso than he trusts him. Ollie always believed in the best of people. While Sara is an assassin now, Ollie always believed in her.

  93. She's an assassin because the price for the league's help was her re-joining it. Even then he still trusts her. Same with Roy.

  94. She was an assassin before asking Nyssa for help with Deathstroke's army.
