Marvel.com: We haven’t really learned much about Mack aside from the fact that he’s a mechanic and he’s joined up with S.H.I.E.L.D. at this point. I was curious if you could give us a little info on the character and what drew you to him?
Henry Simmons: I can just say the character is described as a big guy. That is, he has a big heart, but when it comes down to it and business has to get done, there’s another side of him that gets it done. That kind of guy.
Marvel.com: One other thing I was wondering about--since you are the mechanic on the show, does Coulson let you touch Lola?
Henry Simmons: [laughs] Oh boy, I think there’s the beginning of a running gag about that. I’m serious. I’m glad you asked, I think just the other day we filmed something where I mentioned to him about my mechanic skills and he was just like, “Not going to happen.” [laughs] I didn’t even say anything about it, he just shot me down.
