Do you know what’s in store for Lady Jaye in the next G.I. Joe?
I don’t actually. I don’t know. Right now I’m currently shooting “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Mockingbird, another superhero, so that’s fun. Then hopefully I get to come back as Lady Jaye at some point.
How many episodes of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will you be on?
You know, some. I can’t really divulge too much information but it’s definitely more than one.
When something in the Marvel universe comes along, do you just jump at that?
There’s fear in it too. I know if I play this character, I probably would never play another Marvel character. There’s different questions you have to ask, and you ask about that too. Where is this character going? All those silly fears that you get being locked into something, but I have to say working with this group of people has been amazing. These producers and show runners are fantastic and I trust them implicitly. Marvel’s been really fun to work with as well, so I’m looking forward to it and I hope it’s a long run for us.

Marvel.com: Once you got to learn more about Izzy and her team, what was it about her character that you gravitated towards the most?
Lucy Lawless: To me, she’s like an embedded journalist. [There] was an element of these people who live on the edge all the time and do not fit into normal society as we know it. They can’t even operate in a normal world for long, so it was a chance to play one of those characters, and that’s what I gravitated towards.

Oh, I am so glad Bobbi is recurring! I don't know much about the comics but I do hope she is Clint's ex-wife. That'd be a fun tie.

ReplyDeleteSee, I don't like the whole "Izzy is the only person Coulson can trust" bit. There can only be so many people who hold that title before it loses its specialty. To me, the two people Coulson values and trusts more than anyone, and who would go to hell and back for him no matter what, are Fury and May. The likes of Skye, FitzSimmons, Hill and now Izzy should be second-tier. Just my opinion.
