LOL, even the chairs on the show's set say C.L.A.R.K.E., M.I.N.G.N.A., etc. Whereas I'm too lazy to even type out S.H.I.E.L.D. every time and just write SHIELD.
About time we got a title for the season premiere. Can you believe that even though Arrow premieres a couple of weeks later, we already have the title for its SIXTH episode? Not to mention all the promos and such. ABC's promotional department really isn't bothering with AoS at all this year, which is a shame. The show has definite potential to grow, given the positive word-of-mouth about its improvement in the second half of S1 and its connection to the movies.
Episode synopsis for some of the upcoming episodes maybe soon to come if we are lucky. Most shows that start around that time have already had some of their basic synopsis released for the first two or three episodes.
I agree I am disappointed in the lack of effort put fourth by ABC for the show. Word of mouth at Comic con was really good and turn out was really good given the kind of slow start to season one. I don't know why ABC the channel that airs it is ignoring this show so much. Not even a promo has aired for it when I have watched a few ABC rerun shows. I know their is a promo for it because I saw it on here but I have yet to see it on tv or even a "coming soon Sept 23!" kind of promo. Come on ABC get with it here the fan base has grown a bit despite a rather sluggish first few episodes in season one which lead to a really good, exciting ending to season one. Keep the momentum going for one of your Tuesdays leading shows unless you want people to watch alll NCIS Tuesday nights instead ;) (Kidding I won't I will still be watching Shield but I know casual viewers may skip the show in favour of those)
I'm disappointed by ABC in general when it comes to the upcoming season. Except for their Thursday line-up, nothing has received much promotion from the network.
Totally. ABC is really sluggish with promoting the majority of its shows from the comedies to the action all of it. I think the the only ones I have seen promos are surprise, surprise the Grey's anatomy time slot promos. Other then that they are like, "oh we have shows that aren't medical melodrama shows? Which ones?"
I agree, in fact even though there has been a lot of advertising for the TGIT lineup, the promos lack excitement. ABC is still using the same 2 or 3 ads for HTGAWM they've been using since June. I remember Revenge having like 10 different ads when it premiered. Remember that great ABC Sundays ad for Once, Revenge, & 666 Park Ave? Majority of ABC's shows premiere in just 2 weeks and they have old footbage in the promos still. It's ridiculous.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
make sense since the new SHIELD will be hidden in the shadow from public and govenment watch
ReplyDeleteSurely it should be S.H.A.D.O.W.S.? ;)

ReplyDeleteThat's a good title, since the agents are supposed to be shadows for at least the first few episodes.
ReplyDeleteWhen the show first started I tried my best to type S.H.I.E.L.D. all the time but it got old real quick!
ReplyDeleteYes, finally! I love the title.
ReplyDeleteTook a while to reveal the first episode title! Sounds good and theres only a couple of Weeks until the season Premiere so awesome!
ReplyDeleteThere should be a special keyboard setting for this show where every time you type a capital letter, it automatically adds a dot after it. Ha.

ReplyDeleteEven the Grey's Anatomy promotion is rather ridiculous. They used a photo that's several years old for one of the poster.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait :D
ReplyDeletethey actually HAVE released a few promos...I've seen them and to me, the upcoming season looks SOOOOO GOOD!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI think just for K.I.C.K.S. sorry I can't help myself now

ReplyDeleteHaha!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they play a game on set where they try to make up actual acronyms for all of these...
