Witches of East End - Maggie Friedman Interview - Submit Your Questions!
Aug 12, 2014
GH Witches of East EndFirstly, a big thank you to everybody who supported my first advance preview of Bad Judge today! If you haven't checked it out already, you can click right here (even NBC liked it).
You guys may not know this but I am a huge fan of Maggie Friedman, the creator of Lifetime's hit show Witches of East End as well as one of my beloved shows Eastwick, and I have the absolute pleasure of being buddies with her on a couple of social media platforms. She's a truly incredible writer as well as being a truly awesome lady too. She has kindly agreed to do an exclusive interview with me for SpoilerTV.
While I have so many questions to ask her myself, I would absolutely love it if you guys could pitch in with some questions too, any questions you may have to do with Witches of East End or Eastwick, maybe even her early days on Wasteland, Once and Again or Dawson's Creek? Maybe you want to ask her about her inspirations, her writing process, what she gets up to on her days off - anything within reason. I will pick the best questions including some of my own because I'm greedy and Maggie will kindly answer them and the interview will be posted on Sunday ready for an all-new episode of Witches of East End.
To give Maggie some time to answer, I'll keep the submissions open until Thursday August 14th. Questions submitted after that may not be included as I will start work on the interview immediately after the deadline. Thanks for understanding.
So if you have a question for the Goddess of Witchy Television Goodness then there are multiple ways you can submit them to me. You can leave your questions in the comments below, you can tweet me, facebook me, instagram me - just social media me, I'll see your questions as long as you direct them to me. There is no limit to how many questions you may ask. Let your imagination run wild.
You can also e-mail me your questions to gavin (at) spoilertv (dot) com. Question submissions are now closed. Thanks for entering.
Witches of East End aires Sundays at 9:00PM on Lifetime. Be sure to catch the show this Sunday for an all-new episode!

Will we see some backstory of what Wendy did in the last 100 years when she wasn't talking to Joanna, and will we get to see the other times she died using her nine lives in flashbacks?
ReplyDeleteJoanna's relationship with Alex is delightfully stereotype-busting. Was this plot line a conscious choice to appeal to the show's bi & lesbian fans and how much can we expect to see of Jo and Alex in the rest of season two?
ReplyDeleteThe cast you have assembled for the show is great. How did you feel about when you learned of the casting, did you have much input into the casting process?
ReplyDeleteIf you could have 1 actor as a guest on the show , who would you like?
Great questions Matty, I really hope we do see more Wendy backstory :)
ReplyDeleteLove this question, I was delightfully surprised by this development in the latest episode. It's definitely refreshing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your questions Fluffy Bunny :D The show really does have a stellar ensemble cast.
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying the Dash and Killian storyline this season, and I was surprised (and confused!) to learn that they were both linked to all of Freya's different lives, even though they weren't related in their past lives. Does this mean that they are also cursed like the two sisters and will we get a glimpse of any of these former lives from the perspectives of the two bothers?
ReplyDeleteI love that Joanna is an artist, and I'm curious where the inspiration for that came from since I don't remember it from the books. I also wonder if we're ever going to get to see her at work with her students?
ReplyDeleteInteresting question, thanks for submitting :)
ReplyDeleteVery true, good question, thanks for taking part :)
ReplyDeleteI loved Eastwick and am so disappointed that it didn't last. What was it like trying to stay true to the original movie while trying to create a fresh spin?
ReplyDeleteI miss Eastwick so much :( Great question Tonya, thanks for submitting :)
ReplyDeleteGreat question Matty, I was a big fan of Charmed too!
ReplyDeleteVictor's last name is Beauchamp, and Wendy also has the last name Beauchamp. So was the name
ReplyDeleteBeauchamp simply a last name all of them decided to use when they left as Asgard for our world, or are we to assume Joanna never took Victor's last name which wasn't Beauchamp originally.
thanks :) I like both shows in there own ways. It would be awesome if they casted anyone from charmed for a guest role.
ReplyDeleteBoth Killian and Dash have appeared in different times crossing paths with Freya over the last 100 plus years, and sometimes they are not even brothers. What I was wondering is are they both also cursed aswell, and if they are different people throughout decades, when and how did they manage to end up as Athena's children.
ReplyDeleteI'm confused how all these witches came to our world, are they
ReplyDeleteall from Asgard? We saw the flashback where Joanna, Wendy, Ingrid, Freya
and Victor came through the portal. When did all these other
witches come through a portal? Is there only one portals to leave Asgard?
I never even thought of that! Good eye :)
ReplyDeleteGreat question :D
ReplyDeleteWendy's curse is pretty vague is it ever going to be explained more thoroughly ?
ReplyDeleteWhats has been your favourite episode of season 1 of Witches of East End?
ReplyDeleteFrederick has been a great addition to the cast during season 2? Will we get to see his relationship with Ingrid explored more later in season 2, and will he get to officially meet Dash and Killian at some point in time?
ReplyDeleteChristian Cooke is great as Frederick, I love him! I'd like to see if Frederick would protect his sister Freya from Dash as we see happens in the promo for next week. I want him to come to Freya's rescue and protect her :)
ReplyDeleteI hope to see Ingrid and Fredrick connect too. with her moving out of the house so quickly they never got a chance.
ReplyDeleteIs there any chance to have pre-war flashbacks to Asgard this season? Also there was a line in the pilot where Wendy said something like this to Joanna: "At least you can have children" & I'd like to know whether this would be explained later on (does this have something to do with her curse?)?
ReplyDeleteWow I forgot all about that line Wendy said to Joanna. Good memory you have there :D
ReplyDeleteI have a couple:
ReplyDeleteI loved Eastwick and it's been killing me all of these years not knowing, but was there a planned ending storyline wise instead of leaving Season 1 on a cliffhanger?
Concerning Witches of East End...Is there a specific reason that Ingrid is the mate for the Mandragora? Will we actually get to see Asgard at any point in the show?
Great questions Adam. Eastwick is a hot topic from a lot of people asking questions, expect to see the important ones in the interview ;)
