Yes! This is great news!
ReplyDeleteMmmm I suppose that this is good news. I find that 80% of the show is stupid and 20% is interesting. I hope by the time season 2 comes around the balance will be better.
ReplyDeleteNo surprise there, im loving this show :) Glad its coming back
ReplyDeleteNo surprise, solid ratings.
ReplyDeleteNo surprise but really great news !
ReplyDeleteHave you tried reading the books? Maybe it will make more sense. They cut a lot of stuff from it, and due to the type of story they can't just go straight to the invasion because it's about how it starts.
ReplyDeleteWell this is of no surprise. Finally the show is getting better.
ReplyDeleteNice :D
ReplyDeleteYeah, but they spend a lot of time repeating the same scenes in different settings. Multiples scenes of Gus telling his mom how much he loves her or telling people that are a threat to her off, multiple scenes of Eph begging for custody of Zack, one too many scenes showing Fet dealing with rat infestations, multiple scenes of the survivors looking at themselves in the mirror.
ReplyDeleteI am all for character development, but there is a way to do it in a more compact way. It has become obvious they are dragging it out to fit 13 episodes....the book, based on its length, could be done in 8 episodes tops, more than that has proven to be a drag. It's still a good show, but it could be so much more. Nevertheless, I am glad to see it renewed
I'm surprised this show is holding so well given it's so average while Fargo and The Americans had huge drops and scored half of the ratings
ReplyDeleteYou shouldn't have to read the books to "get" the show.
ReplyDeleteThey do too in the first book. I guess I'm just not bothered by it.
ReplyDeleteExcellent news, but no real surprise. Finally a vampire series about "monsters". Not angst or brooding romantic characters, but "evil and scary" monsters............YES! Nobody, 4 NOW!!!
ReplyDeleteGood. I'm liking this show. Bit sketchy in places but I'm just happy we have a vampire show that Stoker would probably have actually watched.
ReplyDeleteMy mistake... When I originally read your initial comment, it tasted of a snippy retort. Re-reading it, you're also noting how tedious the story it.
ReplyDeletehey Nobody! this show is scary as hell and yet I watch!
ReplyDeleteIt's been to long fellow poster (and one of my favorite LG fan/fic writers)! Yes this series is really good and scary...............trust me when I say it only gets better/scarier! Try the books if you have the time. Nobody, 4 LATER!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the strain, ever since I read the books and the comic books (that go along with the first two books of the trilogy) and now, I am excited to see that it is renewed for a second season!
ReplyDeleteI agree! The Strain is one, of my favorite new series, this year. I only liked True Detective, and Penny Dreadful better. And this series isn't even half way done yet.
