The actors were absent, but Moffat was on hand to talk to reporters backstage after his big win and he gave some season 4 scoop.
Moffat was asked if the previously announced season 4 can top this Emmy-winning season, Moffat replied: “We have a plan to top it. And I do think our plan is devastating. We’ve practically reduced our cast to tears telling them the plan … we’re probably more excited that we’ve ever been about Sherlock.”

ReplyDeleteThe only thing that comes to mind is Sherlock going back to drugs. I don't think they will kill the baby or John's wife. And honestly nothing else would be as shocking as if one of these two died.
ReplyDeleteSo, Mary will be revealed as Moriarty's right-hand woman, thus breaking everyone's hearts. Then she will die heroically, even further destroying what's left of everyone's hearts.

Honestly, I don't know what he's planning but I know it'll hit us right in the feels. Hopefully we'll get to see more Mary next season and I do hope she's not a goner!
ReplyDeleteI don't think the writers will kill off the actress who is Martin's wife. These kind of things factor into decision making process. Especially since she is so well received, she was the best part of season 3. They didn't even have the guts to stick to keeping Moriarty dead so?
ReplyDeleteWell in the original story Mary dies and John goes back to 221B - sooo this will lead to a lot of tears but on the good side- Sherlock and John together with Mrs Hudson - happy!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell for a start Moffat and Gattis have said they are going mostly with cannon just giving things a different spin. Mary dies in the books and Watson moves back in with Holmes. So I dont think the fact that the actress in question is Martin's partner will factor at all, they may keep her for another season they may not. It depends on what stories they tackle. But if they keep going I think she will be out of the picture eventually. Also we dont know if Moriarty is in fact alive. All we saw was a video clip on tv. That could have been faked, or pre recorded message left to mess with Sherlock. It could be something set in motion by Sebastian Moran (Moriarty's right hand man or woman.) So we will just have to wait and see.
