It's hard to believe that they ended like that. They fix their own little world by lying. Dad couldn't fix it for her this time, but now Bay lies for Daphne. She should have taken responsibility and did her 3 months in jail.
Actually is was a great graduation episode. I totally did not see that ending coming. I knew Daphne wasn't going to go to jail and be held responsible for what she did (she never has to face the consequences of her actions) but I did not see Bay coming to her rescue like that. but this neatly will explain why everyone is still in KC next season. Daphne will feel bad and not go to Galudet and work with Emmett's mom at the new school and Emmett won't go to LA without Bay. My only hope is that Regina goes to Hawaii with Wes. I actually like him. Question: in the previews it showed Toby crying....did I miss that scene or did it end up on the cutting room floor?
It was a relly good episode. Although I don't like that Daphne won't be held responsible for her actions, I understand that the writers had to keep everyone in the city. Bay still surprises me sometimes. She was that spoiled rich girl at the beginning of the series. Now she's grown in this beatiful compassionate young woman. She knows what she wants and how to get that and still manages to care about other people's needs. Daphne, on the other hand, has regressed so much. Its normal to screw up, but she does that in the end of every season - three times now! And she never faces the consequences of her actions. I hate that Bay is gonna be one with criminal record now. Who's gonna take Daphne's fall in the next season? Its good to see Travis reunited with his mom. Regina needs to go to Hawaii and start fixing her own life. Daphne's speech at the graduation was wonderful.
I think it would have been better if Daphne turned herself in and Bay and Emmett were determined to support her with visits as long as she was in jail. Then everybody could still be in KC. Regina would also refuse to go to Hawaii and the family could show their support to Daphne and help her get through her incarceration. They could have done a great storyline about the deaf girl's challenges in jail. It would be only 3 months and in tv land that could be just 3 episodes or less. I do believe they blew a great opportunity. They needed to send a truer message. Take responsibility for your actions because they have some very tough consequences sometimes.
I have never seen Switched at Birth. But I have a strong belief that Life begins at the moment of conception. As a Mother I remember the joy I felt with each little kick, listening to my childrens heartbeats as well as seeing the ultersounds. The joy I felt when they were born is undiscribable. Those who do not believe this, should ask themselves how do they explain the heartbeat sounds, the kicks as well as the pictures of the Ultersound and finally when a baby is born how do they explain the fact that they live? Also I think they should think what if their Mothers felt that there was no life developing in her womb? #JustSayin
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteAlthough I agree a little with Just Somebody I think it was a pretty good episode. I really enjoyed it. :)
ReplyDeleteBay is crazy for doing that! If I were her I would have wished Daphne luck and went to LA.
ReplyDeleteActually I thought the episode was very good until the ending. Wish they had been consistent.

ReplyDeleteAnother clever 'switch.' I didn't see it coming.
ReplyDeleteI think I read somewhere that the Toby crying scene was from an old episode.
