  1. decent ep... some parts dragged a bit for me (the religious wife that fed her neighbor to her infected husband was odd) and although it wa good to see Setrakian and his sword in action finally, the scene felt odd that he just happened to be there in the house at the same time that they were and that the Dr's weren't more startled to see him there and I would've thought that Setrakian would've explained to them right there what was going on to try to get both of them on his side.

  2. It was alright. I feel like episodes 2-4 could easily have fit in the span of one and a half episodes, if not just one. There have been dozens of unnecessary scenes put in to drag this season into 13 episodes.
I find the changes they made odd. In the book by now Gus already killed his vampire, got arrested, and met Abraham in the holding cell. Also, by now Jim gets bitten by the survivor Ephraim kills, whatever his name is. All would have made the episodes a bit more exciting.

  3. The pasting has slowed down a great deal since the premiere, but I understand why because it won't be long before New York City becomes "World War V". The neighbor vs. tool shed scene was funny! Finally Setrakian and some "swordplay".............YES! Based on the preview for next week the pasting is going to pick - up again with a flashback to...............Poland 1943, can't wait! 4 A KILLER STRAIN, I am still Nobody!!!

  4. I liked the ep. the autopsy was wonderfully gross. My big problem was the acts of stupidity. Though they'd established the wife with the husband in the shed well enough that I would believe she's the kind of idiot who would freeze in the face of certain death. Eph and what's her face after almost being killed by the Captain, doing an autopsy and seeing first hand that there was nothing left of them that was human...WALK INTO THAT FREAKING BASEMENT COMPLETELY UNPREPARED!!! Not surprised the old dude started his own investigation. (Loved his performance in court last week.) The idiots in the basement would have been dead without him...and would have deserved it for being so stupid. The female doctor brings new meaning to the word denial. I'm find the hispanic car thief more and more interesting. I was about to comment on the size of the staff but the fact that I know one character's name says it all. The bad guys have thought this through pretty well though.

  5. I liked this episode for the most part. The autopsy screen in particular was great. The horrific body modifications the vampire virus does to its victims were chilling to see. Setrakian is definitely my favorite character on this show. I also like how the bad guys are covertly isolating the city from the rest of the world, hiring Anonymous-like hacker groups to crash the internet under the guise of a protest.

The one thing that kind of detracts from the show is the idiot ball that's being passed back and forth between Eph and Nora, depending on the plot. First, it's Eph who was in denial, flat out refusing to listen to Setrakian, whereas Nora at least showed some curiosity. But now it's Nora who refuses to accept that the infected are no longer human, even after the dissection of the captain clearly showed that these people are anything BUT human.

Also, I know the show is pushing this theme of "vampires using people's love to spread the virus" - but it comes off more as the vampires taking advantage of their victims' selfishness (the rock star and his lawyer) or stupidity (Emma's father, Ansel's wife).

  6. Thanks for clearing up the hacker. I was totally confused, about her, reason for being there besides blowing up the internet. I wondered if she had a greater purpose beyond that. I must say Emma seem to be good at attacking her quarry. I liked how she'd throw her head back to have her stinger reach further. Lol. I enjoy Setrakian, and Eichorst. Oh and Eichorst seemed taken aback by Valdez's view of evil. She was looking at him, as if she knew, he was pure evil.

  7. I liked the feeding the neighbor to the shed scene. The basement scene, for me, was totally unrealistic. The old guy just happens to show up with his sword to save them, come on. I hope this show picks up the pace next week.

  8. I fully understand the rage with Nora's behavior (I for once was furious with her), but maybe we have to understand it not as denial, but simply inability to cope. That's why, IMO, the episode is called "it's not for everyone." She's not denying they are not fully human anymore, she simply can't deal with it. And, yes, although it sounds crazy, it does because we are watching it at home, from out laptops, while sipping coffee. I honestly have no idea what I would do if I was a doctor, had dedicated my life to curing people and suddenly realized I'd have to kill over 200 living creatures who once were human because a virus turned them into something else. To me, she kinda went into shock. Her mind couldn't process what was going on. But that's because she does understand it, not really 'cause she is in denial...

  9. This episode is awesome. When Ansel's wife used his neighbor to feed his husband I couldn't believe it. That woman is evil.
The autopsy scene was creepy and disgusting but I liked it.Now we know how the body of these vampires works.
It's interesting how Eph and Nora have reacted to the situation. I thought Eph would be the one who would refuse to kill the vampires and not Nora.

  10. Great autopsy scene but aside from that it was a pretty weak episode. Not a lot of stuff happening, some character acting dumb, others (like Gus) receiving air time for no apparent reason...

  11. Great episode a lot good thinks happening is most parts, the autopsy was creepy and the scene with the wife and the infected was great too. Finally Setrakian meet with Eph and Nora to solve a case, now they will go after the vampires.
