I was utterly confounded by the end of the episode. I actually laughed out loud because of how little I understood. I'll be tuning in again and hope we'll get more answers next week.
Hmmm....very strange! I liked the mystery, liked the acting, and I will watch another episode, but I hope it get´s into the characters a bit more. It was hard to get a feel of them.
So rare to get a new series that lets the story and mystery breathe and evolve organically. Though I do fear it will be too much for some viewers that expect everything to be spelled out..
I didn't understand much of what I was watching, but I'm happily intrigued by what's going to happen, you can easily sense the X-Files touch, can't wait for the next episodes !
Agreed, 2nd episode was superior than the pilot. Alone the girls storyline was more interesting. That actress impressed me and I bet she had to play these scenes. Normally child actresses have it tough, but there are exceptions like her or Maisie Williams.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Honestly. I don't know what to think. Acting and photography were perfect, writing was ok... But it felt a little... vague?
ReplyDeleteI'll keep watching because I'm intrigued (and a little confused too) but I wish they revealed a little more in the pilot...
Loved the young girl and James Frain (Sheperd), though. He knows how to play evil.
Yep, episodes 2 and 3 do explain it a bit more. The pilot was pretty confusing with lots of jumps between scenes.
ReplyDeletefor a pilot, this was all over the place. really hard to keep up with what's going on
ReplyDeleteand none of the characters raise much sympathy

ReplyDeleteI was really confused, but intrigued. I'll definitely keep watching.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed that. No idea what's going on but I love the general tone and the acting. That little girl was awesome. Colour me intrigued.
