Claire is pregnant with Alex's baby! That was actually what blind-sighted me the most actually. (Also, angel note: They can apparently hear really well on Earth even though their eyesight is hindered?)
That and Michael actually killing Becca, but that was mostly out of denial. It was awful what she did to poor Louis and Michael's rage just took over. I want to cry. I won't be able to watch Michael/Becca scenes the same way ever again. And they were sweet scenes. :( Sucks.
Knew Uriel was with Arikta since the promo was released, and had a feeling she'd side with Gabriel. Argh.
Glad Claire figured out what William was up to and he got kicked out of the city.
Really liked Alex's note to the baby. So sad. But the good news is he goes to Gabriel because he's blackmailed him, not because he wants to.
That's about the only good news.
Man, the writers need a Season 2 to do some serious damage control. Or rather, damage fixing. I knew it would be bad, but not this bad.
I'm actually a little unsure about Uriel. She seems to enjoy playing the brothers (M & G) against each other. Is it possible that Uriel wants to win Herself ? After all, Akira is actually Ellen, and the two of them are plotting to wisk Claire away w her and Alex's baby. . . .
Hence my edit of her using Gabriel. I haven't rewatched yet and was distracted during that scene. Now you mention it, yeah, she's definitely out for herself.
I too think Uriel is out for herself. She wants Gabriel ad Michael to cancel each other out. I do not like Claire. Ugh to the pregnancy. I'm glad William was found out, and I was shocked Michael killed Becca. Poor Noma. I can't believe it was only 7 episodes, for the season.
Micheal seemed to lost it there in blood and violence. I wonder what's Alex's plan by going to the enemy's dungeon lair.
I always like when we know more about the Angel family. Now, we know Micheal and Gabriel are twins as so are Uriel and Raphael. Plus, the reference to Morningstar made my 1 hour and 30 mins, lol.
Can't wait to see Raphael and Lucifer if they renew the season.
I was thinking during my re-watch Michael in a rage is like the Hulk. He can't help himself/stop himself. That look on his face when Alex snapped him out of it by cutting him with the sword says it all. :(
Michael has an inner monster that is impossible to control when it rears its head.
So my thoughts on this are that the real bluff happened after the fake bluff. I think they knew that Gabriel was too clever so they put in place a fake bluff, because he would be expecting that. Then everything that happened after that is in fact, the real bluff. Knowing that Gabriel has eyes everywhere it needed to be really believable and they had to trick us too.
Maybe I'm wrong and we'll find out next season (please let there be a next season), but something makes me think it wasn't all real. I dunno, I might be miles off but I hope we find out either way!
Great episode. I guess the warning on Alex's arm was correct -beware those closest to you. For him, it meant Michael and for Claire it meant William. I felt so sad when Michael went berserk and killed Becca quickly followed by the guards. When realization hit as to what he had done, the look of shock and pain on his face was priceless. William, what can one say about William? He needs to up his game otherwise he will not survive. One wonders whether Gabriel will take him in because he has nothing, no acolytes, no Claire with the Alex baby. Tough times up ahead for him.
I object! It's not allowed to end the like that, were there actually any happy scenes in that episode?!
Claire is pregnant but oops father has has to go and leaves behind a super sad note. Michael is gone all hulk and killed Becca. William was exiled. Noma is in Gaberiels prison. Uriel is playing both Michael & Gabriel (or so we think) Arika is Evelyn and is with Uriel whaaat!! General Reisen is gone. Claire is all on her own now. Ethan is all on his own now. Alex is with Gabriel.
So I'm not the only one who thought of the Hulk during that scene! Just the way he snapped and attacked and snapped out of it after Alex cut him and his shock at what he'd done...
It was the first thing I thought of, im glad he snapped out of it though, It would have drove me crazy if they ended the season with him on a killing spree :/
Still wish they'd kept it at 2 episodes because there was a scene cut out at the end of him by the ocean (and someone with their hand on his shoulder - major spoiler on Syfy episode in pictures).
In her conversation with Arika/Evelyn she clearly states that if they can get their hands on Ale they can harness his power and finally end the battle between Gabriel and Michael and bring Father back. She's just like Gabriel. Her only wish is to bring her father back and she will destroy whoever gets in her way.
Alex goes to Gabriel's lair because he has no choice. Gabriel is blackmailing him. With Michal gone there is no one to protect the city and Gabriel vowed to burn it to the ground and kill Claire if Alex didn't go to him. There's a cut scene on the SyFy site that shows Michael on the cliff of the lake with Lucifer's hand on his shoulder. Michael is crying and devastated. Certainly proof that non of the previous events were bluffs and he already regrets his actions. Season 2 is going to be interesting. Wonder who will play Lucifer?
I hope so. I really want to see the missing scenes from this episode and others like an extension of Jeep's funeral (promotional photos showed everyone at the funeral while the show only focused on Alex's pov).
-Happy that Noma, Riesen, William survived the episode, I was sure at least one of them would die. I could do without David, but he had a nice scene at the end with his son.
- I liked the reveal of Arika being Evelyn and Uriel making her own power play.
- Loved the Gabriel-Michael moment and reveal about them being twins, along with Uriel and Raphael (I'm gonna need Raphael in a potential S2, along with Lucifer, who apparently is in a deleted scene from the episode (SyFy had something on their website of Michael standing on the edge of a cliff and Lucifer showing up, but they've now removed it).
- Maybe I'm a sick puppy, but I kinda loved that Michael killed Becca. Experimenting on the sword and the dead angels is one thing, but what she did to Louis, after promising Michael she would keep him safe? She went too far into Mengele territory. But the reason I liked it wasn't because I wanted her dead, I think this actually made her an interesting character I would have liked to explore in S2, the reason I liked it was because Michael went too far. A lot of times shows/movies tell us about how bad a character used to be, but in the present they're doing the right thing or only killing bad guys, even if they sometimes have moments of doubt. It's refreshing to actually see a character who could really snap at any moment and revert back to their old ways (unless it's a vampire, they can get blood-lust and go crazy).
-I need a S2. I'm worried they wrapped things up and deleted a lot of scenes to make two episodes into one long one because they know they're not getting picked up. I'm being paranoid, but I can't help but worry.
Why did they (writers) made her a monster? She cares about Michael, loves him, protects him (David, Edward). There was the one scene where she lied about the blade - but I assumed that was somehow related to Whele. And the final episode: she is a monster. I’m quite disappointed by the way her character was handled. Michael killed her without an explanation.
I thought she and Michael had a lot of potential. They were my favorite pairing.

Since your last post is still awaiting moderation I'll reply back here.
The more I re-watch the more I realize:
Becca is a scientist, and scientists can take things too far (it's been long heard of people experimenting on other people in awful ways like in asylums, for example) - especially when doing things to try to save their people - city, country, species.
She loved Michael, cared but him, but obviously none of the other angels. She took her need to protect her species way too far. She believed hurting one angel was worth it if it meant saving the city. It's no excuse for the cruelty, but it's not the first time someone says "they're different, they're not the same, so they can't hurt like us and so I can do this to them for the good of mankind". Labs do it all the time to animals. Of course doing it to angels is much worst.
She wasn't a monster, but became blind to her cause and ended up doing horrible things. I hate how things ended up cause I loved the pairing too, but am slowly accepting it.
"Michael killed her without an explanation."
Not sure if you mean explanation from her or him. Becca explained why she did it, and the more I see the scene, I understand why Michael could get so angry as to kill her. Seeing the angel parts on display, Louis all cut up yet still kept alive suffering, and the lie about the blade was too much. He assumed everything was a lie, and he snapped.
Michael has a serious temper. His rage blinds him. When he's pushed too far, he goes almost into this "Hulk-like" mode. The anger takes over. (Which is really scary - I hope he can find a way to control this so it never happens again).
If he's Gabriel's Yin, then that black spot in him took over for a couple minutes (that usually carefully locked away dark spot that the rage comes from and pleasure in fighting/killing). Only the pain of Alex's blade cutting him snapped him back out of it. And after it is obvious that Michael is shocked and dismayed but what he has done. He's tried so hard to do the right thing, as he learned from the boy, but has failed once more. I predict lots of guilt next season.
No! really. I liked Becca! why kill her?... C'mon are those people dump dont you know the smell of gasoline?, what a horrible death. Michael going rogue is a great move, i think it was more about Becca betraying him than the humans killing arcangels. Claire pregnant, i didnt see that one coming for real but now that im thiking it was kind of expected lol. I like the Play Uriel is doing, she is gonna be the one with the upper hand if this two keep being idiots.
Well, the writing was already on the wall for Becca. It's only a matter of knowing when she will get out'ed.
If there's anything that's actually good that came out of this finale is that, in its own twisted way, William and David repaired their relationship of some sort. But I still see Will as a weak coward. Him venturing into the wilderness will likely help him be his own person for real, but how he eventually falls, whether to the side of good or bad, that we just have to wait and see.
Oh gosh, I need me some renewal news about this show soon. The suspense is killing me!
And that's why I normally wait to hear there's a 2nd season pickup before watching a new show. I can't take this stress (but then again, I go through it every season with Hannibal as well).
Only if I really want to watch a show I start watching it immediately- Fringe and Hannibal, for example. Mostly I like to hear what people say first and know it's future is secure, at least for a S2. But that way I also end up knowing a lot of spoilers prior to going into the show, before I started Arrow the whole season finished and I knew who was going to die and a lot of what was going to happen. Afterwards I prefer to watch live, because I like participating in discussions, which I can't do if I wait and marathon it.
I'm kind of glad Becca died, after what she did to poor Louise she got what she deserved, and I shipped her and Michael, lol! I'm not a fan of baby storylines, so I don't like the pregnant Claire. I'm happy Noma lived, but I wish William hadn't made it, he still feels weak and pathetic.... Loved his fathers move at the end though, I wish he'd gotten some of his old mans spank, lol.
I really need to discuss shows I watch and if I don't have people in RL to discuss them with, I need an active messageboard and nice fans to chat with.
I didn't ship them, but I also didn't NOT ship them, they were just there for me and I had no idea how I felt about them as a couple. What she did to Louis was terrible, I can't feel too sorry for her, even if it did make her a more interesting character for two seconds.
Baby storylines that take over a show are the worst, LOL. Let's see if we get a S2 what they do with it.
I actually like William and I like him more than his dad (even if I loved him burning the acolytes alive). What I like about William is how earnest he is- he's not a one dimensional villain, he truly believes in what he says and loves Claire and even his father, who probably showed him very little love his entire life. I like complicated characters, so if they have a good storyline for him outside of Vega (maybe meeting up with Riesen?) then I'm happy he survived.
Me too! I keep checking to see if there is any update. I really really hope they renew it but I've been disappointed in the past with other shows not getting renewals. Let's hope this one won't go the same route!
I agree, I think he was extremely pissed off when he saw what they had done, but to realise it was at the hands of Becca sent him into a rage that just took hold of him.
I am glad that Becca is dead. She was totally useless as a character and plot device! Not fond of the baby scenario - we don't even know why Alex is so special....now he has a special kid.....weird. Also, not a fan of Claire or the actress playing her. FLOVE Michael, dark and broody works for me! (he is hot!) Alex and Gabe storyline works for me as well. I just wish more of Alex's backstory and or rationale of why he is soo special was revealed. The show has been really slow on revealing this. Maybe if they showed a bit more of his powers.....maybe connection to God...anything for us to hang onto as an audience. Uriel was a total surprise! like whoa!
Well, now I'll have to rewatch the show and try to see William through that optic, he seems much more interesting that way. I guess I just focused on not liking him instead of giving him a chance. You're right, he does whole heartedly believe in what he preaches and that alone gives him more dimensiĆ³n tan most of the other characters. I'm keeping my fingers crossed regarding the baby, hopefully they'll keep that storyline in the background as much as posible, only I don't really think they will, lol. The chosen one's child sounds like a front and center storyline. Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see. And I know the whole thing with Louis made Becca shaded, hence more interesting, I just can't condone torture, and the fact that she kept him alive through all of that is just... too frankenstein. Maybe if he was dead, and she was just studying his dead body... I don't know... I hope they renew it son, it so deserves a second season.
If you do rewatch, check out how devoted he is to Claire. He's very naive, thinks maybe things will change with time, but still willing to not push, to not force her into anything, while she's the one who decided to get married and push it forward, for political reasons. And then check out his interactions with his father, a father who nearly killed him when he was a baby and on some level has always blamed him for the death of the rest of their family and has seen him as weak. I especially remember his line, when David is giving him a douche speech about Samson (the lion) breeding the lioness like nature intended, William has this very hurt "the cubs will grow up never knowing their father, nature can be kind that way" and his "I am the man I am because of you"- David seriously messed him up, no wonder he turned to Gabriel. William is naive enough to believe Gabriel will spare him and his loved ones, which includes Claire and David and Gabriel probably treats him better than David ever did and with more respect and compassion (a definite manipulation on his part, but like I said, William is very naive and earnest). Sorry for that mini-rant, I just have some surprising William feelings.
I just don't want the baby to be a special, chosen one baby itself and you just know it's going to be used as a bargaining chip by everyone, LOL. I highly doubt this will be in the background, not when it has to do with Claire and Alex, our two leads.
Oh, I definitely hate what Becca did, don't get me wrong, but I appreciate that it added another dimension to her as a character (I can like despicable and amoral characters, because they're fictional). I definitely think Becca went too far, it's one thing to experiment on dead angels or the shard, but what she did to Louis was inexcusable and unforgivable.
I NEED A SECOND SEASON RENEWAL, OK?? I JUST GOT INTO THE SHOW LAST WEEK, NOW WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH MYSELF? LOL
Haha, once I get starting, you can't shut me up, I always discuss all the shows I watch, whether it's flailing or being critical (my dad claims I'm too critical and can't just watch a show without analyzing it).
William's devotion to Claire was the only thing I liked about his character because it showed that inspite of the horrible father he had he was still capable of a love that's pure, and I felt very sorry for him because he honestly believed that time would make Claire love him. Maybe in real life that would've happened, but this is tv and you just know that she's going to hold a candle for Alex forever. Lol, it will get renewed, it has to. I watched it week to week, but I assumed it would've the normal 12/13 episodes, so when the season finale promo came it completely blindsided, I was "WTF!!! IT'S ONLY THE EIGHTH EPISODE!!!" LOL! If it's renewed now is there any chance it makes a Winter appearance? or it's only wishfull thinking on my part?
God, just compare the way David was all "oh you've come to ask for tips on your wedding night, haha" to William not rushing Claire or expecting things from her, even if he hopes she'll love him in time. He could have so easily been a "nice guy" who's her friend and then wonders why she won't love him or expect her to. But like I said, there were other things I liked about him, especially when you compare him to David, who is a pretty one dimensional character. Whenever they had scenes together, it was so illuminating and helped me understand William's issues more, while also helped make David a bit more interesting. I'm curious what they'll do with William in S2, since he can't go back to Vega and I doubt Gabriel has much use for him. Will he and Riesen meet up in New Delphi? LOL.
It has to be renewed, it just has to, but why aren't they announcing it yet? Maybe they're negotiating the number of episodes. I wonder if we had a smaller episode count because it's filmed in South Africa with a local crew? That plus them taking two episodes and cutting scenes, making it one episode that's an hour long.
I dunno if it could be in the winter, depends on their scheduling, if they want to keep it with Defiance, it'll probably stay a summer show.
The final was good with some shocks. I hope dominion gets renewed for a season 2.
I don't know how I feel about Claire being pregnant with Alex child - I am glade that Alex found out about the baby and I defiantly got annoyed and angry with Claire when she said she wasn't going to tell Alex about the baby (Alex deserved to know he was going to be a father).
I am glade that Claire found out about William being an acolyte and that William was send away.
I am glade that Noma is alive (I liked the plot twist last episode with her being an angle)
I still don't know who I like Alex with more Claire or Noma.
I did not like what Becca did to poor Louise. I would of understand if she was only studying/experimenting on dead angles but not on a living being. I really did like Becca and her relationship with Michael.
I liked what David did to the acolytes burning them alive it was a good more on wiping them out.
I liked the moments between Michael and Gabriel such as the information it revealed about them being twins and Uriel and her twin (I forgot his/her name)
I liked and was surprised by the reveal of Arika being Evelyn and that Uriel making her own power play also being involved with Arika.
I over analyze, but I'm not very critical of most shows. If I really don't like a direction a show's taken (character, mythology wise), I will be though, like with Vampire Diaries and Supernatural the last couple years. It's hard to disappoint me if a show sticks to its tried and true nature.
I can be critical even with shows I love, I can still enjoy a show even if I didn't like every aspect of them (S2 of Hannibal, Orphan Black and Arrow are prime examples) and it takes me forever to quit a show once I've started, because I always think "maybe it'll get better". My life is so much better now that I've quit Vampire Diaries (last season) and I haven't seen Supernatural since S5 ended.
I can't stop watching a show if I've watched for a while. I like seeing what happens next, especially for shows that were once my favorites.
I was saying I'm more critical of shows I love if they don't go a route I think makes sense. Shows I watch just to watch or I like, not love, I usually am fine with whatever happens.
Some shows I've quit watching but kept up to date on spoilers/plot, because I can't quite quit the show, even when I stopped physically watching. But I've definitely had some shows I've just hated the direction they took and lost my love for them, so I've quit them.
As for what you've said earlier- way too much politics, too much focus on Claire, Becca had about as much character development as Ethan, right up to the finale- I kinda feel like after the Pilot they didn't know what to do with her, so they were just biding their time, waiting for a good moment to kill her. It would explain why she got zero character development or backstory and even her relationship with Michael was never properly explored (nor was her position on the senate or her work as a scientist). With Arika it's obvious the reason she wasn't developed was that they were keeping her mysterious until they could do more with Helena in S2, with Becca she was always just there, sort of doing something but never in focus.
It's not that they have a lot of characters, it's that they don't know how to use them. There were times when they could have easily focused on a different character, instead of once again focusing on Claire and Alex. One episode for each of their backstory would have been enough and then they would have had time to focus on the other characters, while Alex and Claire were still driving the plot as the main characters. I tend to be more forgiving of shows' first seasons, because they're still trying to figure themselves out/where they're going and Dominion had a really short season to do it all in.
Well, if he goes back to Vega Claire will have him executed, and we all know Gabriel is going to leave him out in the cold now that he has no use for him, so it will be very interesting how that affects his faith, after all is one thing to believe in something ambiguous and have that "being" dissapoint you, but to believe and actual corporeal being and have that turn it's back on you is not up to any interpretation. I'd love to see him join paths with Reisen, wether it's in New Delphi or along the way, I wonder what he'll tell him... You're right, if/when it's renewed it will most likely stay a summer show, but one can hope ;-)
Yeah, which is why Vega isn't an option and I can't see Gabriel having much use for him. I wonder what the writers will do with William next season, if he'll change as a character (especially if he gets rejected by Gabriel) or stays the same. I was sure he was going to die in the finale, because after he's found out, there's not much to do with him (at least in the city)- but the writers are more than welcome to prove me wrong and give him an interesting storyline next season. And since Riesen doesn't know about his betrayal, it would be interesting if William crossed paths with him and to see how William explains why he's not in Vega.
LOL, right now al my hopes and prayers are aimed at S2, after that I can focus on wishing it were on sooner than June. ;)
Haha, yeah, I'm with you on that, if it has the best chances to survive during the Summer, then keep it in the Summer, because as long as Michael and Gabriel are there (Alex is a given), I'm there and I want it to last as long as possible (unless the show goes downhill, they say they have a plan for 5 seasons and possibly 2 more after that).
Oh, definitely a short season and large group of characters doesn't contribute to everyone's character development, but the only two that I can think of (from the main characters) who didn't get any development or backstory are Becca and Arika and like I said, with Arika they were biding their time until the finale reveal and S2- I'm assuming we'll learn more about her next season. With Becca I think they didn't know what to do with her after the Pilot so they were just waiting for the right time to kill her off.
I wish I could say that the characters who got more attention than needed won't get the same treatment in S2, but the way things are going, I doubt it. Just give me plenty of Angels and some more Angel-flashbacks (since I doubt Michael and Gabriel will meet up in the present any time soon) and I'll be happy.
I think I took Michael-Alex scenes for granted, so my focus was on Michael-Gabriel scenes, because they were so rare. Now I wonder (if we get a S2) if Michael will really interact with the rest of the cast, seeing as how he can't go back to Vega (I assume) and I doubt he'll hang around Gabriel and Alex. I need plenty of Angel flashbacks, if I won't get any Michael-Gabriel in present day. Oh and I need Lucifer, I don't want that scene deleted because they're not going there, give me Lucifer and Michael interacting!
I like the angel sibling interaction way over politics, but love the interactions between Michael and Alex most. The scene between Michael and Gabriel when they were talking about when they were created was a favorite though.
Would love to see flashbacks of not only the past before the war, but at the start as well.
Wow just enough answers and enough questions. The look on Michaels face when Alex Told him to stop was one of complete shock that he had done all these things. I am concerned about Alex going over to Gabrial. Please do not steal the baby!
So i watched the season over and when Michael and Gabriel are talking about before they were made them 2 were made together as was Uriel and Raphael he also said The sun of Morning was born alone. I wonder if they will bring him into the second season if there is one.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
So many shocks in this episode.
ReplyDeleteClaire is pregnant with Alex's baby! That was actually what blind-sighted me the most actually. (Also, angel note: They can apparently hear really well on Earth even though their eyesight is hindered?)

Loved it and I really hope there will be a season 2. I was ok with anything that happened as long as Alex made it through.
ReplyDeleteOf course he would!

ReplyDelete8 episodes but yeah short season. Too short.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the correct number of episodes.
ReplyDeleteI'm french, can't talk a lot without mistakes... But thanks to you for the spoilers !
ReplyDeleteMicheal seemed to lost it there in blood and violence. I wonder what's Alex's plan by going to the enemy's dungeon lair.

I was thinking during my re-watch Michael in a rage is like the Hulk. He can't help himself/stop himself. That look on his face when Alex snapped him out of it by cutting him with the sword says it all. :(
ReplyDeleteMichael has an inner monster that is impossible to control when it rears its head.
Michael killed Becca :O :O ..
ReplyDeleteMichael killed Becca !!! that was a shock, i didnt like it
ReplyDeleteSo my thoughts on this are that the real bluff happened after the fake bluff. I think they knew that Gabriel was too clever so they put in place a fake bluff, because he would be expecting that. Then everything that happened after that is in fact, the real bluff.
ReplyDeleteI object! It's not allowed to end the like that, were there actually any happy scenes in that episode?!
ReplyDeleteClaire is pregnant but oops father has has to go and leaves behind a super sad note.
Michael is gone all hulk and killed Becca.
William was exiled.
Noma is in Gaberiels prison.
Uriel is playing both Michael & Gabriel (or so we think)
Arika is Evelyn and is with Uriel whaaat!!
General Reisen is gone.
Claire is all on her own now.
Ethan is all on his own now.
Alex is with Gabriel.
Yh i'm definitely gonna need a season 2!
Loved it. Ready for season 2 NOW.
ReplyDeleteSo I'm not the only one who thought of the Hulk during that scene! Just the way he snapped and attacked and snapped out of it after Alex cut him and his shock at what he'd done...
ReplyDeleteIt was the first thing I thought of, im glad he snapped out of it though, It would have drove me crazy if they ended the season with him on a killing spree :/
ReplyDeleteMe too. His face after made me sad.
ReplyDeleteStill wish they'd kept it at 2 episodes because there was a scene cut out at the end of him by the ocean (and someone with their hand on his shoulder - major spoiler on Syfy episode in pictures).
I wonder if they'll put all the missing scenes on the DVD
ReplyDeleteMichael killed Becca!!! I can not believe!!! I'm so disappointed... I don't want Season 2!!!
ReplyDeletelove it even tho I want my OTP back Michael and Becca
ReplyDeleteIn her conversation with Arika/Evelyn she clearly states that if they can get their hands on Ale they can harness his power and finally end the battle between Gabriel and Michael and bring Father back. She's just like Gabriel. Her only wish is to bring her father back and she will destroy whoever gets in her way.
ReplyDeleteAlex goes to Gabriel's lair because he has no choice. Gabriel is blackmailing him. With Michal gone there is no one to protect the city and Gabriel vowed to burn it to the ground and kill Claire if Alex didn't go to him.
ReplyDeleteThere's a cut scene on the SyFy site that shows Michael on the cliff of the lake with Lucifer's hand on his shoulder. Michael is crying and devastated. Certainly proof that non of the previous events were bluffs and he already regrets his actions. Season 2 is going to be interesting. Wonder who will play Lucifer?
Can you post a link to that? I can't seem to find it on their site. Tks!

:)
I hope so. I really want to see the missing scenes from this episode and others like an extension of Jeep's funeral (promotional photos showed everyone at the funeral while the show only focused on Alex's pov).
ReplyDeleteI so need to see that scene on my screen whether a DVD extra or Season 2. Not happy it was cut.
ReplyDeleteI felt the same...disappointed but I've re-watched and I actually can't blame Michael. He snapped, and it was like out of his control.
ReplyDeleteI want a season 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. lol
The writers need to fix everything that can be. Starting with Michael and Alex's relationship. I was really liking the teamwork. :(
Yeah they were my favorite pairing too. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThanks, that's very interesting and definitely sheds a whole new light on things. Shame they cut it.
ReplyDelete-I'm meh about the baby storyline.
ReplyDelete-Happy that Noma, Riesen, William survived the episode, I was sure at least one of them would die.
Yeah, I can't help but worry a lot. Wish more people watched. Argh.
ReplyDeleteWhy did they (writers) made her a monster? She cares about Michael, loves him, protects him (David, Edward). There was the one scene where she lied about the blade - but I assumed that was somehow related to Whele. And the final episode: she is a monster. I’m quite disappointed by the way her character was handled. Michael killed her without an explanation.
ReplyDeleteI thought she and Michael had a lot of potential. They were my favorite pairing.

Since your last post is still awaiting moderation I'll reply back here.
ReplyDeleteThe more I re-watch the more I realize:
ReplyDeleteC'mon are those people dump dont you know the smell of gasoline?, what a horrible death.
ReplyDeleteIf there's anything that's actually good that came out of this finale is that, in its own twisted way, William and David repaired their relationship of some sort.
ReplyDeleteI don't like needing to catch up with a show. My ways to do so usually involves buying episodes if they're not all on websites I go to.
ReplyDeleteOnly if I really want to watch a show I start watching it immediately- Fringe and Hannibal, for example.
ReplyDeleteMmm yeah, there's that benefit too. It is nice to discuss.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of glad Becca died, after what she did to poor Louise she got what she deserved, and I shipped her and Michael, lol!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of baby storylines, so I don't like the pregnant Claire.
ReplyDeleteI didn't ship them, but I also didn't NOT ship them, they were just there for me and I had no idea how I felt about them as a couple. What she did to Louis was terrible, I can't feel too sorry for her, even if it did make her a more interesting character for two seconds.
ReplyDeleteBaby storylines that take over a show are the worst, LOL.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I think he was extremely pissed off when he saw what they had done, but to realise it was at the hands of Becca sent him into a rage that just took hold of him.
ReplyDeleteI need to discuss my favorite shows. I like discussing others as well though.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that Becca is dead. She was totally useless as a character and plot device!
ReplyDeleteNot fond of the baby scenario - we don't even know why Alex is so special....now he has a special kid.....weird. Also, not a fan of Claire or the actress playing her.
FLOVE Michael, dark and broody works for me! (he is hot!)
Alex and Gabe storyline works for me as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm keeping my fingers crossed regarding the baby, hopefully they'll keep that storyline in the background as much as posible, only I don't really think they will, lol.
ReplyDeleteI just don't want the baby to be a special, chosen one baby itself and you just know it's going to be used as a bargaining chip by everyone, LOL.
ReplyDeleteWilliam's devotion to Claire was the only thing I liked about his character because it showed that inspite of the horrible father he had he was still capable of a love that's pure, and I felt very sorry for him because he honestly believed that time would make Claire love him. Maybe in real life that would've happened, but this is tv and you just know that she's going to hold a candle for Alex forever.
ReplyDeleteLol, it will get renewed, it has to.
LOL.
ReplyDeleteIt has to be renewed, it just has to, but why aren't they announcing it yet? Maybe they're negotiating the number of episodes. I wonder if we had a smaller episode count because it's filmed in South Africa with a local crew? That plus them taking two episodes and cutting scenes, making it one episode that's an hour long.
I dunno if it could be in the winter, depends on their scheduling, if they want to keep it with Defiance, it'll probably stay a summer show.
The final was good with some shocks. I hope dominion gets renewed for a season 2.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I feel about Claire being pregnant with Alex child - I am glade that Alex found out about the baby and I defiantly got annoyed and angry with Claire when she said she wasn't going to tell Alex about the baby (Alex deserved to know he was going to be a father).
ReplyDeleteI can be critical even with shows I love, I can still enjoy a show even if I didn't like every aspect of them (S2 of Hannibal, Orphan Black and Arrow are prime examples) and it takes me forever to quit a show once I've started, because I always think "maybe it'll get better". My life is so much better now that I've quit Vampire Diaries (last season) and I haven't seen Supernatural since S5 ended.
ReplyDeleteI can't stop watching a show if I've watched for a while. I like seeing what happens next, especially for shows that were once my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI was saying I'm more critical of shows I love if they don't go a route I think makes sense.
ReplyDeleteAs for what you've said earlier- way too much politics, too much focus on Claire, Becca had about as much character development as Ethan, right up to the finale- I kinda feel like after the Pilot they didn't know what to do with her, so they were just biding their time, waiting for a good moment to kill her.
Yeah. The thing is they have so many characters that they seem to have trouble getting the characters developed.
ReplyDeleteIt's not that they have a lot of characters, it's that they don't know how to use them.
ReplyDeleteWell, if he goes back to Vega Claire will have him executed, and we all know Gabriel is going to leave him out in the cold now that he has no use for him, so it will be very interesting how that affects his faith, after all is one thing to believe in something ambiguous and have that "being" dissapoint you, but to believe and actual corporeal being and have that turn it's back on you is not up to any interpretation. I'd love to see him join paths with Reisen, wether it's in New Delphi or along the way, I wonder what he'll tell him...
ReplyDeleteYou're right, if/when it's renewed it will most likely stay a summer show, but one can hope ;-)
ReplyDeleteLOL, right now al my hopes and prayers are aimed at S2, after that I can focus on wishing it were on sooner than June. ;)
True.
ReplyDeleteI still feel having a large group of main characters + short season makes it hard to develop them all. Some yes, got more attention than needed.
I just want it wherever it'll last the longest. Don't care how long I have to wait as long as there are more seasons.
ReplyDeleteHaha, yeah, I'm with you on that, if it has the best chances to survive during the Summer, then keep it in the Summer, because as long as Michael and Gabriel are there (Alex is a given), I'm there and I want it to last as long as possible (unless the show goes downhill, they say they have a plan for 5 seasons and possibly 2 more after that).
ReplyDeleteOh, definitely a short season and large group of characters doesn't contribute to everyone's character development, but the only two that I can think of (from the main characters) who didn't get any development or backstory are Becca and Arika and like I said, with Arika they were biding their time until the finale reveal and S2- I'm assuming we'll learn more about her next season. With Becca I think they didn't know what to do with her after the Pilot so they were just waiting for the right time to kill her off.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could say that the characters who got more attention than needed won't get the same treatment in S2, but the way things are going, I doubt it. Just give me plenty of Angels and some more Angel-flashbacks (since I doubt Michael and Gabriel will meet up in the present any time soon) and I'll be happy.
My focus is on the angel stuff too. That and Alex's training. Basically Michael and Alex's scenes in general.
ReplyDeleteI think I took Michael-Alex scenes for granted, so my focus was on Michael-Gabriel scenes, because they were so rare.
ReplyDeleteI like the angel sibling interaction way over politics, but love the interactions between Michael and Alex most. The scene between Michael and Gabriel when they were talking about when they were created was a favorite though.
ReplyDeleteWould love to see flashbacks of not only the past before the war, but at the start as well.
Wow just enough answers and enough questions. The look on Michaels face when Alex Told him to stop was one of complete shock that he had done all these things. I am concerned about Alex going over to Gabrial. Please do not steal the baby!
ReplyDeleteHigher angels. No Archangel was killed in this episode.
ReplyDeleteSo i watched the season over and when Michael and Gabriel are talking about before they were made them 2 were made together as was Uriel and Raphael he also said The sun of Morning was born alone. I wonder if they will bring him into the second season if there is one.
ReplyDelete
