Don't think his OUAT story will be connected to his Wonderland story. Besides that the only important fact is that he was one of Robin's M. men and he stole from them to get himself and Anastacia, Red Queen to Wonderland. For me the fact that his sister died on a frozen lake is also important, could see this being part of his connection to the Frozen story.
I honestly don't know why the Knave is needed. Why does the show need so many of the same character type? They're so obsessed with straight white British men, would it kill the show to spend even half the amount of time on women?
I checked out most of OUATIW and the only character that I truly enjoyed was Jaffar. The rest (especially the Knave, Alice, Red Queen and that completely bland and forgettable romantic lead...hell I actually forgot his name!) didn't really impress me. The Robin Hood guest appearance was the only thing I enjoyed along with Grendel.
Other than that I totally get why it got canned, I don't see OUAT having an advantage with a pretty meh character portrayed by a meh actor. Furthermore I'm kind of pissy that Robin Hood is still a recurring character only.
at least Maguire can act, Sochas look of 'I have no talent, thus I must look broody in every scenea nd use my accent to cover for my non existing talent' makes me....literally raging.
We started out with a show about mixing childlike fascination with gritty mystery and ended up with a show in wich Rumplestskin of all characters buys pink flowers for Belle. Why does every show I like have to turn into a shipper heaven ? :(
He's already got a 'True Love' but I wouldn't be surprised because the writers of this show don't care about continuity as long as there are women who will eat up every guy in a leather jacket
He's actually a fan favorite and my favorite Wonderland character, specifically because he was thee comic relief and I found his and Ana's love stories more compelling than Cyrus' and Alice's. I think all of the Wonderland characters got better and better as the series moved on. For me it was the story that could of been more developed and executed better, but of all the Wonderland characters, Will and Ana are, I thin,k the ones that have much more story that could be told that would naturally tie in since they unlike Alice, Cyrus, and Jafar, do actually derive from the Enchanted Forest and have at least 3 prominent connections to characters from this story: Cora, Maleficent, and Robin Hood, along with potential smaller ties to Ashley, Leroy, Granny, and Red...
"For me the fact that his sister died on a frozen lake is also important, could see this being part of his connection to the Frozen story."
Me too, especially because I think Penelope and falling through the frozen lake is a double shout out to Fringe and Lost simultaneously. Anastasia, if meant to be more than the Cinderella reference and the Russian princess reference as well, also would go with Winter stories....
As Others have said, Will and Anastasia seem to be a "true love" item. OUATiW ends in a flash forward where Alice is telling her daughter a story. The picture in the book depicts that Will and Ana lived happily ever after as the rulers of Wonderland and basically setting their love in stone for the viewers...(and FYI some believe that Ana may be Ashley's step sister via Ashley cameo in the Pilot and via same name in Disney's animated adaptation)
However, the press release for OUAT's 4th season explicity states due to the the mysterious past of Will Scarlet in relation to being entangled in current Storybrooke events, that his future is [now] "unknown". So it seems to imply that the time lines may in some way be more screwed up due to Emma's and Hook's choices in the past and whom they brought back with them, as there would be no other obvious reason for Will to return to Storybrooke.
There are also loose ends to Wonderland's story too. Jafar became a Genie and was suddenly swept to another land (Note: Gianacarlo Esposito is returning this season since Revolution was canceled) and there was this magic spell book that undid the laws the magic (including time travel--but Jafar seemed to only attempt to use it to bend/change Alice's memory of the past) that the viewers have no idea what Ana and Will did with prior to Alice's and Cyrus' wedding---Wonderland's mythology was kind of interesting because it often juxtaposed and contradicted what the characters believe in OUAT...
I hope there won't be any references to Wonderland in ONCE. I only watched the pilot and didn't like it so I never invested my time in this new show. I don't want to watch Wonderland to understand the upcoming episodes.
Am I the first person to realize these are unreleased OUAT: Wonderland photos? The date on them is July 26, 2013 and he's wearing the same clothes. They just did the backgrounds/styling to match last year's OUAT season 3 promo photos. I hope that doesn't mean we aren't getting new photos this year but it might. :(
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Well, hello, Knave! My TV screen missed you.
ReplyDeletefull disclosue: up to this day I was hoping that it was just an aprils fool
ReplyDeleteI hate when shows force you to watch spin-offs trough incorporating spin-off characters -,-
We've seen pictures of him on set (and in a set video with Ginny) before. And OUAT in Wonderland is actually a pretty good show. Check it out.

And let's not talk about season 3s DVD cover
expect some heavy ship involving the Knave to come up. The one reason they probably put im into OUAT
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was hoping they'd make Sean a regular too. Hopefully soon!
ReplyDeleteHe already has a ship, Scarlett queen with Anastasia. His true love.

Aw, I love Michael Socha/Will.
ReplyDeleteHe's already got a 'True Love' but I wouldn't be surprised because the writers of this show don't care about continuity as long as there are women who will eat up every guy in a leather jacket
ReplyDeleteWhat color are his eyes? I really can't tell o_o
ReplyDeleteI wish I could be excited about this, but to be honest the only new regular I wanted for this show is Robin Hood.

Cyrus lol ;)
ReplyDeleteI think he has brown eyes, but you're right, it's hard to tell in these photos! :D
ReplyDeleteDamn you Socha, now I have to start watching OUaT again! lol.
ReplyDeleteI want the Jabberwocky again...
ReplyDeleteThe jabberwocky would have been much more interesting.
ReplyDeletesame thought !
